Liverpool gets it second win in the league while keeping another clean sheet I guess that's going to be the case for them when their No. 1 player Alisson returns between the sticks, no it will be much difficult to be able to score against him.
The return of life to Anfield is more important than the return of Van Dijk to the defense line, which seemed somewhat shaky in front of attacks and aerial tackles against one of the best Premier League clubs to master it.
Salah as usual does not score In the second round, he continues his series of not scoring against Burnley.
All of the pool players predicted the right outcome and 16 of them got the correct results that is high number but it's just little bit over the overall average.

Shared the pool in Sportsbet (ClubTalk) but can't share links without it getting censored so am not sure it's pulling anyone new into bitcointalk, but I'll try and remember to see if we could do that earlier next season. Still, 46 players in isn't bad considering how close to $100 the fee is right now (and will likely be for latecomers haha).

Liverpool correct score superboost is active now (20%), so you can still get a fairly decent price for 2:1 or thereabouts. Burnley's a tough proposition and will defend deep away, but as Trofo says, Anfield advantage is big and guys like Salah, Bobby especially feed off the energy to some extremes so I snagged a 4:0 bet for over 16/1.

Not even available to watch the early game plus afternoon ones, am on the road. But Teemu Pukki showing up and helping Norwich beat Citeh? I got money on them at 26/1;)

Don't forget to tune in to Clubhouse Radio, in-play offers and freebets (and a lot better than the foreign audio I got):

Bump. If anyone still wants to play there's still time but not long until the next round kicks off. Superbru gives you 15 'default picks' if you miss the games based on the most likely result and if you sign up now you will be given six points automatically (which is only 2.5 less than what I got this round and the people at the bottom of the table only got 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 so you will be above them at least). If anyone wants to play but can't pay just yet I will give you until the end of the month to do so, so just PM me. There's 46 players signed up so far so let's try get another 4.

The only game that I successfully predicted the result of was Norwich - Liverpool this week. Even though there were really surprising results on the first week of the EPL to me, our friends in the group were really successful. I'd like to congratulate them. I joined this awesome group for the first time ever in this year. And I'm quite angry at myself because I didn't join it in the past years.
I had a bad start in the previous season but ended up in the top-10 by the end of it, so it's totally fine to have a bad start. I had a terrible start during the first round this year as well, and I'm currently at #42. But I'm sure it's just bad luck, especially with having 3 close predictions but zero exact ones. I also shouldn't have started the season with trying to predict draws and putting 3 of them in my picks. There's plenty of time for mistakes given how long the EPL season is, though, and good luck to us all with the upcoming rounds!

I started last season somewhat fairly but I lost pace along the mid-season only for me pick up well in the last few weeks... If there's anything I've got to learn here is that, just try to remain within average point each week, then 4-5 good weeks would be all that is needed to finish within winners lists.

A few mid-table tricky games we've got tomorrow,
Palace - Brentford, and Leeds vs Everton are the trickiest imo, I still haven't made a precise decision on who to pick.

When if it's tricky for you go for draws. I agree with you on those two and hence why I've gone for draws on both. Leeds might have the home advantage given it's their first game in front of crowds at home in the PL, but they didn't play great last week and Everton picked up a win so the draw looks good to me. Palace and Brentford could cancel each other out so it's another draw for me.

This is my first time participating in the long-term pool of predictions, so I decided to rely on the statistics of head-to-head meetings and the statistics of the last three seasons. I do not know what it will turn out to be, since statistics is a volatile science, but I hope at least for the stability of approximate correct predictions. After all, we have 37 rounds ahead of us ... at least according to some of those present here, stability is a sure way to success. Cheesy

Yellow caps score tend to be 12-18 points if I remember the stats from last season, one really good round will catch you up many, many places. Equally, one bad round can drop you many positions. I know, I've been there;)
That goes double for you since you often have some picks against common opinion Smiley This time it worked for you and now "safe bet" would be to follow the herd with the picks and keep your advantage. JK it is too early in the season for that and usually upsets are more common while teams are still finishing some transfers and adjusting their formation and play style so your picks against favorites could well be worth it.

Not Arsenal though  Grin

@Trofo damn I've got Arsenal down against Chelsea. It's a dumb bet, seeing as how scary their attack looks and how horribly bad Arsenal have been. But hey, I backed Chelsea twice at the same odds last season against City (both cup games) -- and they were on form in an equally lousy position.

Also, I want to say that your performance as Premier League predictor is amazing!

I mentioned last season I was in top 10 percentile in other pools (you can join a lot with the same picks) but finished poorly in this pool. I saw it as evidence that the participants here are of really high quality. Watch me falter in the next 37 match days ha ha ha.

I stand with Ukraine.
What are your thoughts on Saturday's match on Anfield? I made this prediction
~

I personally wouldn't aim that high, given that Burnley has a record of stubbornly stalling Anfield games.
~

After reading your post I changed 4 to 3 here

instead of changing 1 to 0, as I was intended earlier. If I lose, I lose, that's okay. But I hate when someone suggests something reasonable, and I lose because of not listening. Smiley

I can see now that 6 of us made the same prediction. GL to all of us!

~
@Betwrong: Glad you're enjoying Superbru! I mentioned earlier but to those new, Superbru also awards cash prizes for guessing 9/10 and 10/10 (shared if more than 1 person gets it) plus other merch for 7 and 8 exact scores... so that's also worth playing for and costs nothing!
~

This is a great news for me. I want that  jersey! Smiley

Btw, I too won my fee back, with the free bet I placed a month ago

and resolved only the day before yesterday.

Also, I want to say that your performance as Premier League predictor is amazing!

Congrats, mate!

chelsea will also win against arsenal Wink
This is my bet of the week as it stands. I made it immediately after last week fixtures and got odds @1.95 which have immense value for me. Now the odds have dropped to 1.8 so it is not so interesting any more but still very good odds for this fixture. Chelsea with aspirations to lift PL this season against very week Arsenal should be a slam dunk.

So I get to be the bastard bragging about Matchday 1 yellow cap. Steve/Sportsbet credited the freebet quickly and I sat on it for a while, until yesterday, when I made a really early acca:

So I've won back my fee and then some. No pressure for the rest of the season now =D

@hilarious, Welsh yeah very cool to get 50+ should definitely have that consolation prize to play for, it's something that kept my hopes up. Mbappe in Prem League would be one of the best things to happen as a neutral. I think he would prosper too, but also can't see him signing for Liverpool unless he somehow puts money aside and doesn't mind being understudy to Salah. He would need months of conditioning too -- Fabinho was a midfielder and took a long time just to get to Liverpool's intensity. Not sure Mbappe has the body or mentality to track back and press, and if Klopp's assessment is that he doesn't, he'll never find his way into the team.

@LFC_Bitcoin: It's actually our 5th season! It all started with hilarious kicking off this thread (we were 6th and 7th on the BBC predictor according to OP haha) for the 2017/18 season. Then we moved to this thread, crypto sponsored its first team in EPL in the 18/19 season, then Sportsbet got in on the action the following season, and then sponsored this pool since the last. Time flies, I was still young and the Klopp revolution had only just begun when this pool was forming up. It's a nice piece of work OP started.

There is talk about how Barca is interested to buy Lacazete and Auba from Arsenal, really don't think the should be doing that by the way, but if Auba goes away, Coutihno will be a much better replacement for that left flank position Auba played most often. It is also a deal where clubs exchange players so something that definitely interests Barca with their money problems, especially if they can get Auba to sign for lower wages then Coutinho had.

I honestly have no idea how that would work out. Laca and Auba were the main pair of hope for Arsenal last season and when they were awesome for the early part of the season they could score. Giving them away for another playmaker but with nobody to convert those plays into goals is a disaster. But well, maybe I am wrong and Coutino also becomes a goalscorer.

Just doing my predictions now, hopefully I'll remember to check the lineups, and injury news closer to the date.

I was expecting City to run away with the league this season but maybe not now, which is always a good thing. Will be interesting to see is Coutinho or Mbappe end up in the PL. Liverpool seem to be interested in both. Will be interesting to see how PSG justify being able to have all their players on the books.
As far as I'm aware the Mbappe rumours have just been that; rumours. Nothing, substantial suggesting we would go for him, let alone could afford him. The board has been insisted that we need to sell to buy this year, and the only way we could sign Mbappe would be if either Mane or Salah left, and a bunch of other players along with them. I can't see it happening.

As for Coutinho, I haven't heard of these rumours. Although, I avoid most mainstream news websites, and only pay attention to certain journalists which are close to the club. Though, Coutinho used to be my favorite player, I'm not happy about the way he went with leaving, and I'm sure Klopp isn't either. I don't see him coming back to Liverpool.

Hey, guys! Smiley I'm new to this Superbru predictor, and the site itself, and the more I learn about the site, the more I'm amazed about how it's organized. How easy and convenient is to find various intersting stats there!

Take this table, for instance:

Idk, maybe I like it because it's one of my best results so far, but to me everything, the colors, the fonts etc, looks perfect in this table. Smiley

Btw, I'm impressed by how many of us picked the exact result for this game. I mean, everyone knew Liverpool was going to win, but picking 3:0 wasn't that easy.

What are your thoughts on Saturday's match on Anfield? I made this prediction

but I didn't lock my pick, and I'm really thinking on changing that 1 to 0.

Glad to have you in the pool, it’s a pretty cool group we have here. We’ve been doing it for about 4 seasons now (I’m sure somebody will correct me on how many seasons but i think 4).

It’s fun, we have some good banter between us & obviously the paid prizes are good + the chance of free bets from sportsbet.io are great too.

Coutinho is struggling with Barcelona and he is unwanted there so better for him to move out while Aubameyang is at Arsenal without European football and the team is struggling in all fronts.

I don't think Arsenal would be interested in him as long as they're trying to sign Odegaard on a permanent deal.

I mean, he got beaten 3 times in a row by Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel last season so....  Roll Eyes

Why the dig on Tuchel?  Something I don't know?  He had a great run at PSG, and so far Chelsea looks far better since his arrival.

It was a dig on Guardiola actually, I imagine most of the other domestic clubs he's been beating last season are out for revenge this time around.

So much crazy news in transfers I see even Coutinho linked to Arsenal huh?Smiley It will make them a lot better in midfield though but their problem is actually finishing and defence,,, not really midfield (to me).

I think it's just British reports rumors that Barcelona strongly desires to sign the Aubameyang, and that the Catalan club is ready to transfer its Brazilian player Philippe Coutinho to Arsenal as part of the deal.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert in Europe, wrote on his Twitter account: "Barcelona is not currently negotiating to include Aubameyang from Arsenal."
So there is still just rumours but if it is happening this deal going to get the the players the better of the deal then the teams.
