@Trofo: I've always been feeling uneasy about Liverpool ever since haha but no I do get what you mean. And yes, football is cruel, but I'm nowhere near the unease that I felt during the last two seasons when we also topped the league at Christmas (and definitely I felt the slip happening even before it actually happened with Gerrard). This season is not like that.

We could still get KO'd out of Champs League but no Reds fan will feel shortchanged this season if we only end up with the EPL. Only is an understatement as we've not won it for 30 years!

Everything else is icing on the cake..

@Pamoldar: 2/9 is 1.22, The odds I saw on my bookie was 1.26, which ended up 1.29x after price boost (13/10). So no, there's no typo, your bookie's giving you bad odds =p Alisson injured so 1.3 is about right!

P.S. So glad Mane took the second goal himself, he shoulda done it the first time too, thank God Salah's finish was pinpoint as the layoff was pretty shit haha.

Wow!

That didn't take long, I was going to take Liverpool to win after going behind, but I need one confirmation before my deposit could be confirmed  Sad

Looks like a rout is going to happen today
I was also very happy with odds and just deposit in Stake.com but confirmation takes time and now its showing 2 - 1 mean its good chance missed.

What are the odds of that happening again?  Cheesy
Let us have some results. This Liverpool vs Bournemouth might give some indications of how we will go with this round. So far not good though. 1 - 0 down!

0 - 1 Bournemouth.
I don't mind though. Now I need Liverpool to score 3 goals 😜

Edit:
Oh! Firmino.

Just finished making my picks. Didn't go too crazy with Liverpool and predicted a comfortable 2-0 win. Btw, starting XI's confirmed and no Robertson in the team today, weird..

Oh, a bit late but, don't forget to make your Majestic7 picks, guys. I've got Salah to score today (:

Weird...  Just checked.  I had like the lowest scoring week but then I'm having the biggest gap from the guy under me.
Man, you're totally gonna win this lol you've been at the top for so long, kinda feels like Liverpool in the PL, you need to fuck up really bad to drop from 1st place (mind games, a little bit of pressure Tongue)

By the way, I too hope that we do not have a miserable round like the last one.
Most of us had a terrible round because the teams in the top half of the league table failed miserably to grab the 3 pts last weekend (every team in the top 10 except for wolves and city dropped points). What are the odds of that happening again?  Cheesy

It's me under you and I was able to manage only 1.5 point from the last round. So obviously you are safe there with the points you had to stay ahead of me 😜
I thing the last round was the worst round I had ever.

Hope this round does not end up with another disaster.

^  LFC is at 1.26 (FJ line).  I think putting a little something something for the +1.5 on Bournemouth at 2.15 could be good.

Welcome back everyone! Looking forward to put behind a week of misery, so I did something I don't normally do outside of a big match: I put down a big bet on Liverpool even with the lousy odds (I got 13/10) but I'm full of hope in my heart, as the Reds say every week;)
13/10 odd for Liverpool! I guess there are some typo here?
I see odd for Liverpool is 2/9 LOL
What am I missing?

By the way, I too hope that we do not have a miserable round like the last one.

Some people are wondering if Liverpool will win a "less than vintage" season in England with poor teams and fourth place now looking like it will be a record-low points total, but to make it in a third final will dispel all that nonsense. You can't be a less than solid team to already make it 2 finals in a row with the best in Europe.

But one game at a time, Atletico is a tough nut to crack!

Hey you Liverpool supporters, are you getting a bit uneasy now? The week of truth is upon us. If Liverpool doesn't manage to win against Atletico, and they will probably need a 2 goal win (away goals) their season is basically over in mid March. They would be out from all competitions and league title is already theirs. This just shows how cruel professional sports can be. Until 2 weeks ago Liverpool had the best season in history and now they end up with nothing but league title. If somebody asked LFC supporters before the season started if they would be happy with league title and early exit from all other competitions I am sure they would sign up immediately, but after the start like Liverpool had I guess the appetites have grown.

Anyway, after a run of bad results I am expecting Klopp to hit poor Bournemoth today with everything LFC has to raise spirits and belief for the Atletico game. Could be a bloodbath at Anfield today. This is the game I would love to be able to watch live. Thoughts?

@tbct: I had no idea only Madrid have ever successfully defended the Champs League, it would be just something special to do it, but I'll be over the moon just to make the final 3 years in a row.

Liverpool will win the title comfortably but losing to Chelsea means they’re out of the FA Cup. The fans will not be happy if they don’t get past Atletico in the CL.

Let’s see what happens.
I consider the Liverpool's defeat to Chelsea is a good thing for them. FA Cup is an old cup but to compare FA Cup to the Champions League, oh no it has no thing to stay at the same level of Champions League. From now, Liverpool will fully concentrate on the match with Athletico Madrid. They want to defend their championship title and it is their first priority now (Premier League has nearly been done for Liverpool).

If they successfully defend the Champions League's title, they will be the second club does it (after Real Madrid).
Their fans should better get use to the fact they won't be defending the champions league title as they're already out of the competition. The sooner they realize that, the easier it would be for them to forget the disappointment their best season so far has brought them. First they lose the invincibility quest, crash out of winning the FA cup and next in line is the champion league.

Assuming we still had more games to play in the premier league, they would had probably blew their chances of winning the league too but luckily for them, we just have 9 games to end the season.
9 more games left and with the big point gap, Liverpool has done their task in the league. It is an easy task for Liverpool to finish in next games.

For Champions League, it is too hard to defend the title but Liverpool has been strength enough to defend it. Of course, it will depends on their luck in next matches (begins with the match with A. Madrid).

Heh yeah I remember that letter. Klopp actually signed a letter back. He's done it before too, so no worries, that wasn't a jinx. At least last night I saw Bobby looking like he was fighting. I still feel we shoulda fielded our best team.

Won't deny feeling super deflated because we could have gone strong on all fronts but whatever it is, we trust in Klopp. We have to, that's how it works. Can't cherry pick what we don't like.

Cheer up boys (and I mean LFC and meself anyway eheh).

Perhaps the mid season break didn’t work in their favour and they’ve completely lost momentum?
Hmm:

Jurgen Klopp is set to reward his Liverpool stars with a week off rather taking them on a training camp next month.
He's been taking his players to training camps in past seasons, but he decided not to do it this year because of the winter break given by the FA  Roll Eyes

3 losses in the last 4 games, conceded goals in all of them and scored only 3, i think this is Liverpool's worst run in the last two years or so...that says a lot about this team, they've been in top-form for so long that this slump was bound to come sooner or later.

Lovren didn't play yesterday, but Liverpool looked bad again, especially in the second half. the complete defence seemed amateurish and it is only Klopp's fault.
it is good for them because they have already provided PL title but it's bad they have an Atletico against them in UCL and it will be very hard with such performance, and the Atletic will endeavour to use it for sure.

Someone remembered few weeks ago, and one 10yrs old kid (Manchester United fan) sending a letter to Klopp and asking from them to lose one game, so he got the answer that he could not? Liverpool lost 3 of 4 in the meantime  Cheesy

Liverpool fans need to calm down, they’ll win the title easily. One loss changes nothing, if you guys were offered to be in this position at the start of the season you would have thought it was a dream.

I haven't seen any fans crying or worried, but it will be very interesting if they happen to lose their next game in the PL and then the CL. Obviously Athletico will be much harder than Bournemouth but they're both at home. I actually expect them to win both but the CL game could be dicey. It would have to be the greatest fuck up of all time for them to throw the PL away right now though. I think they would have to lose seven out of their last ten games and that's assuming City win all theirs (though City do have a game in hand).
Yep, no need to panic yet LFC fans. Saw the match last night . Liverpool weren’t bad , just not their normal self. Their last 2 matches I’ve been waiting for them to go up a gear 65mins + , but it just hasn’t happened ! Perhaps the mid season break didn’t work in their favour and they’ve completely lost momentum?
They can’t lose to Bournemouth!!!!!?

^  It would've been cool to witness greatness tho (not that they aren't great).  EPL trophy, CL trophy, FA Cup trophy and 2019/20 Invincibles.  That's gonna be a feat that's never gonna be repeated again for decades.

If not a century. There's definitely a reason Arsenal got their gold trophy, it's unique and they won't care they held on to draws to keep that intact (but as Liverpool learnt last season, you can't draw in this modern decade when you have City toe to toe.

Chelsea up 1-0 and Adrian will feel he should have kept that out. Can't blame him. Fabinho basically cocked up so early on...
