The loss of Watkins is a good argument, but 1.26... this is literally the quote of Athletic (4th place) against Granada (19th), but in this case we have third place playing against fourth. I understand that this is a distant analogy, but it makes some sense.
I think a lot goes into the determination of odds. Manchester United were expected by most to win Brentford but were given incredibly high odds and on the pitch they practically crumbled during the game.

City by all indication should win on Wednesday. Aston Villa are a strong opponent, but with the circumstances around the match they should win easy.

Can anyone explain this to me: City vs Aston Villa odds:

1.26 - 6.60 - 10.0

Recent games with Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal ended in a draw, meaning City, being a title contender, scored only 3 points out of 9. Aston Villa is in 4th place and their season is going much smoother than Chelsea. Why is the odds for City's victory so ridiculous, as if they have a two-goal handicap? I understand that losing points here would mean losing the title, but do tournament considerations have any weight on the field? Aston Villa also wants to maintain its advantage over Tottenham and guarantee its place in the Champions League.

Yeah, bookies sometimes do this - I don't understand it as well.
Could be that they know Watkins is unable to play - without him Villa is a different team after all.

Still - makes perfect sense to give it a shot - I think I'll try to go for a draw.

In general, I was going to place a bet on City (thinking that the odds would be 1.5-1.6) and as if I lost the bet, I would be happy in any case, since losing points here is almost equal to dropping out of the race, but now I don’t want to make this bet since the coefficient is similar to robbery.

Damn, I needed City to win for the yellow cap. Still, 1,5 points gained against Omikfuse and Joca97, I'm really close now. I was 10 points away from them 5 GW's ago.
The 1st prize is huge, so the fight for this one will be epic.

Boring game between City and Arsenal, I expected City would go for it more. This is a perfect result for LFC, can this really be our season?

I was thinking it was only gonna be a battle between me and Omikifuse but you came out of nowhere and are making things for us complicated a lot. Also made a huge mistake by changing close to gametime from 2-1 to 3-1 on Liverpool and costed me 1.5 points. Hopefully i gain some big points in the next round. First prize is really huge so i think the battle will go on until the very end.
I am having terrible week as all gone down for me on and off the field having first spoon in this season and most of the bets are also gone terribly wrong mean now need to be resettled things before next round otherwise I am going to have not good end in this season. Liverpool is now in the pool position with most chances they are not going to lose their spot and next 9 games are going to be interesting with full of action for the all fans having just 6 points in this round after winning round is terrible.
Next week looking better or the predictions and betting as well hopefully something recovery will be possible if lady of luck will give some favor as well.

~This is a perfect result for LFC, can this really be our season?

I can suggest that this is a great result for all teams and fans (except City) as the intrigue remains, and the main favorite is still holding back in third place. If City were in the lead now, then each round would be more likely to cause irritation than interest.

By the way, the latest quotes are encouraging:

Liverpool 2.20
City 3.0
Arsenal 3.55

Maybe bet on City? So as not to be too upset if they do take the title.

Congrats to Trofo, el che and Barcode_ for winning the Round 30 Yellow Cap

Speaking of three way, the current EPL table is also pretty much three way locked for now with only 3 points spread between 1st and 3rd. Im glad that we dont have to watch how dominant City in EPL like last season. Klopp now actually have a decent chance to end his last season with Liverpool by winning the EPL, good for him. Sir Alex won his last one as well

Palmer for me but no way he wins. They ought to do an MVP... hate the Americanism but you need an award for guy who carries his team the most. Maybe the most objective is points won for team in a season though Palmer may not actually even be in contention for that.

Maybe Nunez? Ha ha ha.

Missed the entire game but don't care. Now for a perfect City Arsenal draw!

If it's based on points won for team then Palmer will be in contention - he has won us couple of points from his goals this season more than any of your players can't say the same for Saka and Foden.

Yeah maybe Nunez since the FA is running mad. Hahaha  Grin

Too many hype about this game for two weeks and this is what we got? 0-0 really? @un_rank

I know Chelsea already did this in the past and doesnt have any good outcome, but..... how much time are gonna give them to Pochettino? He seems to not find the clue to make the team play better and become regular.

The owners needs to go - came with a fat cheque, splash £1b on some random Brazilian and English kids, sacked Tuchel, put us in a tight corner with the FFP and now we need to sell our experienced players to balance the book.

For me he is in the same situation as Ten Hag in Manchester United, he never ended up finding and building a good and compact team. And come on, they had enought time.

Lucky win. You have a couple of dirty wins in the run in to the title and I'm starting to feel you guys have almost exhausted yours.
I got to commend Alexis, he was brilliant all game. I always was a fan and knew he was class.

Boring game so far at the Etihad. Should not have started Saka, he has not been up to speed yet.

No chance Palmer is getting player of the season since Chelsea isn't fighting for the title, to do it in team that low down the table I think he should have double the stats of all other candidates. But young player reward should be his I guess. Not sure what age is the cut off exactly.

23 and below for the young player of the year.

Already lost the League cup final, no pushing for European position, Chelsea really kill Palmer shot but if it's based on individual performance and not club achievements then Palmer stand a good chance of winning.

Hazard and Bale won the same category without lifting the trophy if I'm not wrong.

I think that if Palmer is that good chances are high that he at least will get a tons of offers from world class clubs like Real Madrid,Inter Milan,Manchester City,Barcelona,Bayern Munchen and alike. He should continue perform as best as he can and chances will be there,I also think that if taken personally although that is not the case when deciding for a price,he personally deserves it yet I am sure he will not win it as Chelsea is really screwing up big time during this season with the likes of not winning yesterday against Burnley a much weaker team and with much less finance.

And especially a team like Chelsea, that rotates too many players and still can't agree on their gameplan.
Palmer is definitely in contention for the player of the season award, although I do feel that Foden was a step above everybody else this season.

Palmer - 13 goals, 8 assists, Foden - 11 goals, 7 assists, Saka- 13 goals, 8 Assists. Going to be a close call and title will play a significant role too.

Poor Mason Mount, got his first EPL goal for Manutd to secure important win only for Brentford to equalize 2 minutes later. What a game! The 2.22 Odd was just a trap.

Big winner Newcastle and Tottenham yesterday, coming back and winning 3 goals, in fact so many comebacks yesterday but seems like the one that didn't deserve any points actually got one, and almost got all 3, Manchester United.

Actually it's weird I don't remember now seeing about Manchester United fans here on forum, are you all being quiet guys? Tongue

The only drawback, which from history has shown to be a major one is his club's performance. All the last players of the seasons have either won the league or were in close contention for it. The only player I can remember who won it, but did not make top four in that season is Bale, the season before he left for Real Madrid, and they finished 5th that season. Chelsea are 11th now.

This has been my best week in a long, long time. Big push for a top 20 finish maybe.
