Another weekend of football and the results are getting tougher to predict, especially between clubs who are in and around the middle of the table and down in the relegation battle.

I am looking out for which would be the upset of the week, Luton vs Aston Villa at Kenilworth Road is looking very inviting.  Cannot wait for Monday.

Can someone link the rewards distribution? Considering that I'm near the top, I'm starting to drool a bit Grin

The only thing I found is this:

Hey guys,

With the English Premier League set to kick-off on August 12, we wanted to give everyone the chance to get excited for what should be another fun and competitive season  Cool

Sponsorship
*  Sportsbet.io has agreed to continue the tradition with a generous 200 mBTC sponsorship   (Big thanks to Steve)
*  If we get our usual 50-60+ entrants, that brings the total pot to 325-350 mBTC+
*  The entry fee will be 2.5 mBTC and I'll leave the pot breakdown for hilariousandco to decide

Free Bets
*  There are 38 weeks in the season with the Yellow Cap winner(s) receiving a 3 mBTC Free Bet each week
*  In addition, there will be Exclusive Prediction Contests for paid entrants throughout the season; so plenty of opportunities to win additional Free Bets

Let's try to break last season's record of 61 paid entrants and get an even bigger pot  Smiley

There is some info in the OP as well, but it was edited last in 2022 so that is surely incorrect.
Very nice, good luck guys, I will be participted with us 'ext season,

Afaik hilariousandco hasn't decided the pot breakdown yet (I know it changes)

The last converse I recall was about reducing the reward slots from Top 20 to Top 10 or 15 for a larger payout. I guess he hasn't made a decision yet.

The Westham-Brentford game pushed me from 19th to 22nd, though I still have a greater chance of finishing above my previous season's rank (20th).  Wink

Yeah, not sure if I posted one. I'll figure one out soon but it won't be as many places as last year.

Guess I better go do my predictions for this weekends fixtures even though I suck again this season. I am 34th out of 56 man, the promise of a yellow cap always keeps me going though.

I’d like to try and finish in the top 20, at least to gain some self respect Cheesy
Good luck to all you guys battling it out at the top for the big prizes.

Congrats on the yellow cap hilariousandco, you grab it away from me in the last two matches haha. Was expecting finally to get the yellow cap but i guess i will have to wait.

You are first in the league and still didn't get yellow cap? Damn, that's some bad luck man Grin
I think I got 2 already this season but didn't get a single one last year. It's actually quite hard to get - fighting against 50 or so people for it.

I'm looking forward to our battle for the top spot. You have a decent advantage but 1 bad round could put you within reach.

Well done capt'n on the yellow cap... just checking in to remind everyone that United are struggling against Forest, they'll probably be thankful it's just the FA Cup.

Leicester were fun to watch last night and so are Southampton tonight, but have to say unlike the Foxes, I don't recognise the Saints lineup! That aside, the sneaky, sneaky deflected Koumas goal aside, the match stats doesn't look kindly on the Reds but if you're watching the game, we're playing far better football. Course, I'm biased to high heaven but we're slicker off the ball, more aggressive, and somehow more nimble. We do look a shade more lightweight though, I'm just wincing every time there's a 50-50 as our kids look like they'll snap.

Second half more of the same so far...

whoa, we got point deduction reduction to 6 points
not much, but it looks great, since that puts us above relegation line for 5 points

expected to get at least one point reduced, but ended up with 4, just enough to forget late equilazer by Brigthon on Saturday

Thought you guys were getting another additional 10 points deduction just few weeks ago, how did you guys turned it around and got the old one reduced.

there was an obvious mistake in calculating deduction points
commission did put out calculation method, and it led to 9 point deduction, instead of 10 deducted (would not comment on simple math and money involved)

that probably influenced independent committee to further reduce deduction, although there was no precise method that was used, or at least wasn't published

nevertheless, we and Forest are still in-case for another deduction this season, more fight off the pitch, less on the pitch this season

hilarious making a silent strike, well done!

No Prem League tonight but can be fun to watch a throwback Prem on this Leicester-Bournemouth clash. Niggly affair so far, more injuries than goals, good to see Coady, Albrighton, Vestergaard... even... Chowdry (sp.). Just waiting for Vardy to pop up in the next leg, I guess!

Strewth, fellas! After a bloomin' long kip and battling through a bit of crook health, it's a ripper to be back with ya all! Fair dinkum, hope's what keeps the cogs turnin', eh? I reckon if the big fella upstairs gives us a fair shake, I'll be chuckin' me hat in the ring for the next season. Cheers to catchin' up, mates!

Churrrr gawds Supremo, ye been so chocker meddling with health forgot where ye true chook bros are. So stoked dis Bruce is back whaling wit the rest of us. What dis about leaving fate to the big invisible wanker in the sky, you do us a solid and smash your razoos right ere man.

We're embarrassing piece of shit, can't even win against Liverpool generated AI players without names. ffs.

Guilty as charge!

Despite your team tryna use your billions to rob them of a very legal and valid goal (please don't insert some china wall of BS text of flimsy excuse as to why the goal is correctly disallowed).

If our first legitimate goal was correctly awarded, we would have controlled the game and likely scored another. The English referee didn't learn anything from AFCON. Well, it is too late. Our Wembley agenda continues.

The VVD disallowed goal was more of a "sorry Chelsea" for our first mistake.

...but it really begs the question of the FA on just when and how we'll ever get clarity. League table cannot be shifting throughout the season, depending on how clubs react, how they appeal, etc.
Was thinking same when I saw the news and I think the best approach for the clubs in and around the relegation zone is to have a separate table in their lockers with all gained points shown there and they work with that to know how much points they would need to stay afloat. This would mean Everton would have all ten points that were deducted reflecting on that table, putting more pressure on their players to work harder.

I also don't really think this is a fault of the league. Decisions are not set in stone and clubs always would have the right to appeal.

totally agree, didn't expect this much points back, but nevertheless, you can't shift points throughout the season as you like, and without clarity
overall, this should puts us on safe place, not much on us, more on Luton side, but also Forest is below now

and yeah, DCL or Beto had to start scoring, we are depending on defense to defend and score, and attack is just watching from a side

congrats on Carabao cup

I came in here just to post about that but should have known a Blue boy would get here first. I think it's a great development -- but it really begs the question of the FA on just when and how we'll ever get clarity. League table cannot be shifting throughout the season, depending on how clubs react, how they appeal, etc.

Now if you can just find a way to get DCL back on track scoring again... you can put this all behind you.

Luton gutted, naturally but Rob already says they can't be relying on deductions anyway.

Secondly, Endo obstructing?? There is no obvious error for VAR yet they meddled. This was again a case of referee making up for the earlier VAR mistake.

I don't get you, are you that was the right call ? Endo wasn't obstructing no one, all Endo did in literal terms was stood his ground in a position he had already established, If Colwill wanted to make a play on the ball does have to go through Endo with the field that wide ? he could gone left or right ways but he chose to pass through Endo, was Endo supposed to disappear from a position he his simply because an opponent is coming his way ?
