Oops indeed. I knew they were bad but I couldn't bear watching after 20 minutes. Take nothing away from Arsenal -- they no longer are the team that can't beat Burnley on a rainy day. Sheffield United displayed the worst 15 opening minutes I've seen in the Prem League for a long, long time.
Sheffield were terrible, not top division quality at all. It's all but certain now that they would be going under come end of the season and the players are playing like they've accepted that fate too.

Didn't realise you were a Gooner, good on you. That brittleness you share with Spurs seems to be disappearing with every season under Arteta.
Noisy neighbors.

Spare a thought for Jesus who subs on with them no longer needing a striker.
Must suck for him to see the team scoring so much goals and not being part of any, but it's a team sport. As he gets back to fill fitness, he'll most definitely seemore minutes.

I like Poch a lot, or rather, what he used to be with Spurs. I wonder if he's lost amidst the riches of PSG and Chelsea.

Poch was exposed during his final season at Tottaham, which is one of the reasons why the owners and fans never wanted him. Taking Tottaham to the CL final was what landed him the PSG job, not that he had a strong CV.

Sheffield United and Burnley are the two worst teams in the league, they reminded me of Watford's 2006/07 season (if I recall right), when every team used them to accumulate GD.

Most Arsenal fans I know were nowhere to be found until Arteta gave them a cause to be visible.

I think they took that a little too literally. Half way through and we've already knocked them for five. I think it's only a matter of time before one or both of the two clubs ahread of us slip up.

Most goals scored in the league, least goals conceded. There goes out all the criticisms about us vuilidngon our defense from last season and losing our teeth in attack.

I was thinking that Arsenal would be able to win comfortably tonight. However their starting this quick was a surprise for even me. If Arsenal go on with this tempo we could come across a historical score. In the 12th minute already Sheffield United fans started to leave the stadium.

It is a sad thing for me also that Gabriel who is in my fantasy squad couldn't make any contribution to the 5 goals scored in 40 minutes.
Arsenal were too quick to score this goal because of the ease with which they did so, but who guessed correctly on Superbru about this match? Grin Even just the first half could be a second half of more than 6 goals.

The Sheffield supporters obviously didn't want to see their team beaten again so left, but unfortunately it also seems that they are disappointed.

30 goals in 6 and a half matches. How good we've been in this second half shows when you realize we've only scored 67 goals all season in a total of 27 games. Almost half of our goals have come in 7 matches.

We still face both teams above us, so our future is still in our hands.

Come on Blades! Get some teeth knocked in out there!

To top it off, I'm sure he tells them to respect their opponents. Oh, I miss Jose Mourinho and his famous saying "if you miss the ball, don't miss the legs" and Mikel and Essien would draw the first blood and battle till the end.

Porch stated he was okay with the one point--man hooked me up with this lad 1-on-1, I'm losing my head Grin

Yeah, that's the thing, when you're challenging, you don't give opponents more respect than they deserve -- which is, very little. I've heard so much about Mou, I'm actually surprised I never heard about this one! But even Klopp, whom everyone would like to believe has every modicum of respect for other teams, must surely instill in his players the mentality that everyone is there to be beaten. The only respect they should give is that no team will give up points without a fight.

Has anyone ever seen Ten Hag's face light up this season? I think I did today. Not sure what I was thinking of before the game, saying that Rashford has to find the net today and oh did he... could have gone for a second but he miskicked in the most comical way after a brilliant cross found him, so maybe I shouldn't push my luck with him.

City of course can do another 45 minutes of the same and find their way, they're still too good but I'm pretty happy with the HT score and I'll take it for the evening. And heh, so is Ten Hag!

Another disappointing evening for Liverpool and Arsenal fans - Don't waste your time hoping Chelsea or Manchester united would do your any favors, we can't. Fight your battles mates. We're both shit.

Poch? Judging from the cup final, he tells them to be cautious. He needs to start asking his players to smell blood, and if they don't smell it, to draw blood.

Next time, you'll ignore Chelsea forever; I lost 4 mBTC on those jerks today. My betting game would be better without these clowns, but I can't quit picking them. Lol  Grin

What does Poch tell his players during halftime? I am curious since we always look worse in the second half.

Yikes, yeah. They still saved me in BSFL by getting the draw but this just means it's wise to bet on them next game (since they're yo-yoing). I get your problem. Doesn't matter if Liverpool is good or bad, I'm betting on them regardless.

Don't blow the whistle until Liverpool scores. Happens over and over again.
I feel Forest could have cleared their lines faster after defending the corner, you have dragged on this long no need to be neat and tidy. But yeah, that game should have been over once that corner was defended, but still, just put your foot in and clear your lines for 1 point against the league leaders.

Was already excited that with a draw for Liverpool and a win for us, we go level on points and ahead on GD.

Ref Tierney Paul is always the 12th guy on the pitch, and he is the most controversial referee this season. From one awful game to the next, he is so constant in his bad officiating. Adding more than 20 seconds to the initial 8 minutes was ridiculous, and a defender mustn't clear the ball for the ref to do his job. End the game on his fuckin feet.

Gotta feel for Arsenal fans - you're competing against two corrupt teams. Not gonna end well.

Guess the prize breakdown won't matter so much if we don't place anyway. Not quite out of sight for me just yet but will have to really start playing with a bit of mind over heart. United and Chelsea also picking up form so time to really ask myself if I need to back them more.

United upset the most tempting. But odds barely above 5/1... not a fair reflection of how bad they are against almost full strength City.

Chelsea hurts me badly as well because I was expecting good win for them, but they don't like to give back good response and every time while I am positive about them have big setback today both in betting and pool they give me setbacks.
Everton were doing good even they lost penalty kick, but suddenly we have some good charge from the West Ham in injury time which also hurt and create problems for them and backers as well, but West Ham is now again doing good as now they score 7 goals in two games with next game is also looking good which will give them success and strong case for staying here on this spot.
Liverpool is surely lucky at the end I was not sure whether they will be able to score goal but Nunez done good.

we had everything in our hands, first penalty this season, but Beto missed it, although scored later on
but late goals from West Ham put Everton hopes for some points today down

nevertheless, competition was on a same train, Forest with a late goal by Liverpool, Luton conceived last minute from Villa, Brentford was the only one to take a point from four relegation fighters home games
that one point sums up completely why all are in relegation fight

yeah, this one does seem tempting, but for a double-digit odds, on 5/1 would not try it
and United really doesn't stand a real chance there, it is mostly related to eventual bad game by City, not to United outperform themselves

Funnily enough, when I checked a few hours earlier, odds had actually gone spot on 10/1 on Sportsbet (I took it, of course, at 10.9 with a price boost). United are terrible, and without their goalscorer who was finally coming into his own if but for injury.

Still, City can have a bad game in ten, hence my bet.

They sleep well tonight knowing that nothing will be changed in the standings no matter if both City and Arsenal go and win their games while if some surprise happens in the remaining games it would be even better for Liverpool.s.

If I know Liverpool under Klopp, they don't sleep better knowing anything else. They sleep only with a game played well. Of course, that was the vibe under Hendo and Millie etc. I can imagine the new kids aren't as used to the methodical game-by-game approach but I don't care at this stage.

Another weekend of football and the results are getting tougher to predict, especially between clubs who are in and around the middle of the table and down in the relegation battle.

I am looking out for which would be the upset of the week, Luton vs Aston Villa at Kenilworth Road is looking very inviting.  Cannot wait for Monday.

- Jay -

For me it does not matter anymore as I lost 3 weeks without putting the predictions and I just put the picks for the sake of doing so.The results are getting really tough and Liverpool barely managed to win but 3 points are 3 points and they are still at the top of the table no matter what happens to tomorrow games. They sleep well tonight knowing that nothing will be changed in the standings no matter if both City and Arsenal go and win their games while if some surprise happens in the remaining games it would be even better for Liverpool. For me 3 points are important and not the way the games are played, late football is showing that the most pragmatic teams usually end up being Champions.

but Everton has fair chance against West Ham to work on reduced deduction, and cool of a bit from relegation zone
hopefully, Watkins will have his afternoon against Luton too, so the difference increase
as it stands now, Everton can lose addition 2-3 points in hearing, but Forest is set to lose up-to 6 points, so Luton should better chase Forest than us (EPL becomes green-table league)
