I actually like what Lampard is doing. He switched, losing Christensen was a blow. Transfer ban is hard on Chelsea because you desperately need options, depth and quality and he chose to at least try to get it from young players. I don't really think Abraham will be that big, but Mason Mount is showing signs of brilliance so far.

I like this new Chelsea side, a lot more than I liked these overpriced and disbalanced teams you mostly had since Mourinho left.

But Chelsea - Liverpool was just against logic and felt plain wrong because the actual goal was very clear and it was disallowed because of a play made 10 seconds ago that did not provide enough advantage to Chelsea.

It wasn't our day as every decision, starting from our choice of players were just wrong. Lampard display his inexperienced as a manager once again by playing unfit players like Mount and Emerson while benching Christian Pulisic who was phenomenal against Liverpool in Istanbul.

Williams choice of slowing down the play was also costing us an opportunity to counter attack. The game didn't end badly as losing 1:2 to a side like liverpool isn't something we should be ashamed of. I knew we won't win that game although I presume we could score more than ones that's why I went with a 3:2 bet in favor of Liverpool nevertheless it was a great week for me via the pool ranking.

I can understand the disallowed goal for Tottenham against Leicester. Yea, it is unfortunate and it is 1mm, but if we have technology let's use it - even if they say that they cannot measure so accurately even with VAR.

@VAR: Still not a fan, even if it benefits my team. It messes with the flow of the game, it's against the spirit of how football should be. But whatever, we'll just get used to it. Just hope it doesn't screw with us.

Yes, I quite agree with you, It becomes very irritating when reviews are to be made every now and then in interesting games. However, that's the price we all have to pay to get a next to fair/correct calls instead having to rue losing an important match/trophy for some wrongs calls that could have been easily prevented by having a second look.

The efficiency of the VAR can still be considered to be suboptimal, mostly due some certain complicated rules guiding the refereeing decisions, but on an average I think it's been a rather progressive invention to the game.

I had United draw today, but I didn't thought that they are so bad to lose another time. If they wil continue like that, they can end without spot in Europa league Cheesy.
I had the same 2 - 2

The entire round was a disaster for most of us except few. The round was full of upset and exception.
Tottenham lost
Utd Lost (expecting at least a draw)
Newcastle with a draw
Everton lost

And for the 3rd time I got correct score for Liverpool 🤪
Chelsea - Liverpool : 1 - 2
Liverpool - Newcastle : 3 - 1
Liverpool - Arsenal : 3 - 1

My team is the best!

@examplens. Totally quote of the month. I hate kicking people when they're down but you know, you can't even see the fight in them, save the few like Auba who literally dragged everyone by their collars for that incredible performance.

Yep, VAR made some good changes and it is important to have certainty in borderline situations but I feel like it is influencing too much currently.

For example, they did not even check that Robinson penalty against Napoli and he touched the ball, or that crazy pull on Matip in the game against Newcastle and that was a clear penalty.

There needs to be some ruleset, if it is on a play by play basis it is not objective.

I took the bait on Superbru and bought the "premium" feature which would give more insight and suggestions, figured I'd try it out for a week and see what it's worth. Took their pick on all matches so far (except these last two games), 1 point out of 8 games. Hah!

Lol. I was wondering what that gold star was on your name. To be fair, I think most tipsters would have been wrong this round.

Yea, tough game for Liverpool, I feel that Chelsea deserved more. That VAR call is really not something I like to see, that offside call was actually a long time before the actual goal so I feel we are lucky it got disallowed.

Yeah. Ridiculous. And only a centimetre offside as well. They really need to change the rule. If the Officials don't spot the offence then forget about it. They're letting the game play on for a while in some cases then disallowing the goal which takes another few minutes to review. Five minutes later no goal. The worst one I've seen was the incident in the Portugal game in the worldcup. They gave a penalty to one side, then var gave the penalty at the opposite end of the pitch that wasn't even a penalty in the first place: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A8n8Ijvplk

Next round we have Machester United vs. Arsenal I'm very sorry that there is no option "both to loose". this is the most realistic.

Damn, you made me laugh with this one. That option would be great for matches like this.

Haha. Maybe -0 -0. Two Var disallowed goals takes them into negatives. Either way it's pretty much the only worthwhile game from the next round.

Also you could write that as El Suckico. Both terms are very good at describing involved clubs at the moment.

Didn't watch Arsenal game tonight but they managed to win it somehow after loosing a men to a red card. Probably another good performance by Auba. He is the only one in that squad really pulling his weight at the moment. I also liked Ceballos and Pepe in some matches but they still need to up their game a bit. Lacazette is also always dangerous when he plays, but he is out with injury at the moment.

not so much to blame Ole. The players are desperate like amateurs. De Hea, Maguire, Bissaka and James are the only ones who have some kind of quality. All others are below PL average quality. There is no any manager who's can make something from these losers.

When I saw that Villa leading against Arsenal 2:1 at 80 minute, honestly I didn't expected that they can make comeback while having only 10 players on pitch. So, I switched to LFC game and when I saw final score of Arsenal match it was big surprise for me.
I see that I'm up by 9 positions in the pool, but I can't say that was good week for me. Spurs and Everton loses simply cost me too much money and points...

Wow. This was our toughest game so far in the league. How did this team lose to United 4-0? The same team that fell to West Ham?

Adrian is a revelation. I still feel he's not as instinctive as Alisson, but whatever his faults, he has been every bit as important as our monsters on field in keeping that goal. Really important win, I got to admit we were riding our luck at times, I'm glad our front 3 seemed to have a bit of an off day. Salah should have scored and his control was not his usual at all. Mane also taken off early?

Kante beat City last season with a similar burst so hopefully he keeps one in the chamber for Citeh next visit!

And hey, credit to Arsenal to win the game with 10 men.

Who's Brainboss? 3-2 exact score, you deserve the yellow cap!

Loved him at Swansea, laughed at him at Liverpool.  No idea why, just felt he didn't belong there.  Kinda like Moyes at United.

Yup, he did not. Backstabbed his whole coaching team to get another year, then completely disregarded his gameplay and bought us Benteke.
Cost us Sterling by playing him as wing back.

I will remember that champions league squad in Madrid for the rest of my life. The happiest moment of his carreer is when we finally got rid of him Grin

OGS magic ran out spectacularly, didn't it? I don't know if any club now will ever go back to their old boys after Dalglish, and then now OGS, to take them out of the wilderness.

I predicted a 1-1 Utd draw only because they've been getting penalties almost every match but now at 2-0, impossible.

I'll lose my Wolves/Liverpool parlay but I should still break even with a Pool Moneyline. So itching to bet on Aston Villa now. Surely Arsenal can't kill themselves AGAIN though?

[Edit:  Oh and it would've been 0 - 1 for United if Rash didn't hesitate.  Lmao.
And I could have another correct score for FJM. I have Rash to score in Utd match and Ayew in Crystal Palace vs Wolves match. So far I have 2 out of 3 from yesterday. Already lost the 1BTC race but expecting to have at-least 30mBTC. I was very close twice with 4 out of 7 both times LOL
