He pushed Jesus out the way to take the penalty. He has a 33% conversion rate on penalties. Their most important penalty to date. Strange behaviour all round.

I wonder if Pep will punish him for that. It's not like City don't have plenty of midfield options.

Nice. Last week I put in a few 2-0 predictions and they all hit. This week 2 1-0 already hit, but I got nervous and changed Chelsea and Liverpool results now, after Arsenal scored 5. No one got a close result for Arsenal even, shows how well they beat Fulham, but feel sorry for LFC and Crwth, predicting 3-0 and still getting the same points as us who predicted 2-1.

Strange week for a lot of us, I'm lucky to get 10 points so far, it wasn't like the matches were upsets so far or anything, but maybe we went for draws? Congrats to Big G for climbing 9 ranks, and you guys are so hard to catch, especially LFC, slowly climbing up 1 or 2 spots every week.

^  Wut?  McGregor's camp vs Khabib's camp just had a tussle and both are rumored to have connections to some shady organizations.  Dun dun dun...  Grin

And yeah, could be a draw between City and LFC.  I feel City will be stale again.  There's something with Klopp that Pep just can't seem to figure out.

Damn it! I had Arsensal to win 3-1 and I was hoping to get the 3 points, but Emery had to bring Auba onto the pitch to make it 5-1  Tongue Didn't even get the 1.5 pts but only 1pt...Btw, why are the Fulham defenders so shit? That last goal was something you would see in 2nd or 3rd division football, where the ST takes the ball inside the 18-yard box and smoothly turns to score a goal...no defending whatsoever, though props to Auba for making that sweet turn LOL

Anyways, Ramsey's goal was a beauty, a counter attack with a bit of one-touch football to end it with a nice backheel goal.

@LFC_Bitcoin last time I saw you in the leaderboard, you were outside the top 10, now all of a sudden you're 2nd! Good job!

There’s this weird thing that every time Ramsey scores the next day somebody famous dies, seriously google it.
I had Arsenal to win 3-0 so I got the 1 point but nowhere near the correct score.
I’ve got Chelsea to win 3-1 so we’ll see what happens there.

Got a bad feeling we (Liverpool) will lose today but in our pool I went for a draw.

The table for our poop is really tight, a couple of good weeks can take you from nowhere into the top 5, it’s really close. Seems a lot of us know what we’re doing Smiley

^  Arsenal on a 9 game winning streak (League Cup and Europa League included).  Poch and co. at Tottenham should be worried right about now...  I think they're the weakest (ok, arguably the weakest, sheesh) among the top 5 at the table.

I thought to have done disastrously wrong in today games, but I see I have done 5.5 points so far and only two persons did better than me while many others did the same score. I am 11th and I have an 8.5 points difference with 1st place. It is really tight with this CLOSE 1.5 score of SUPERBRU.

Easily my worst week. Only two points so far. If Manchester hadn't of got that late winner that would have been even one less point. Kinda wanted United to lose though haha. Two nil down after ten minutes. I doubt Jose would have been the manager this morning if they'd have lost that game (or maybe even drawn). Looking forward to the Liverpool/Chelsea game but the result is too difficult to call.

Yeah, I notieed already 3 players dropped out since the last round, ensuring I'm not bottom with wooden spoon. It looks like 4 now, including Welsh.

@Welsh, it appears you're also one of the players not making predictions. Are you sure you put them in?

Yeah, looks like my No script is playing up. It tells me its "saved", but isn't working. I did these predictions a while ago, and didn't check. I'll use my laptop from now on to get these predictions done.

Absolutely! I remember 2 or 3 seasons ago when Liverpool's problems were really how they couldn't break down less illustrious problems. But at least since Rodgers, they can play so well against the big 4 (now the big 6?). And this hasn't changed, I remember all the past 4 games last season against City, and yes, they whipped us good after we lost Mane to the red card - that itself a worry for me, we lose Salah early on and lose to Real, we lose Keita early and lose to Napoli, these sudden losses seem to throw the Reds off balance for the rest of the game) - but we whip back really good when we get in shape.

I think the Napoli loss came as a good time. I know that might sound strange, but Liverpool got a good result against PSG, and probably something unexpected. Of course, a draw would of been much better than a loss to Napoli to keep the upper foot in the group, however can you remember what happened when Liverpool lost to Tottenham convincingly last year? They bounced back, and performed out of their minds. I'm hoping the loss to Chelsea, draw, and then loss to Napoli fuels them up, and they can dump Man city out of the race.

I'm sick, and tired of seeing City win the league now :p

No, I think you're right. Every team has an off day and I can't remember the last time I saw the entire team almost play badly, the 0 shots on target, pass counts, all evidence that we just ran out of ideas and energy... so to have that bad day against Napoli isn't the end of the world, even if it means we've had a run of 3 games without a win. I definitely do remember when we lost to Spurs... that sparked a big run of was it 11 games where we played like demons. I also remember what happened after we beat City 4-3, lost the very next game convincingly, so I'm hoping we beat them soundly this time.

And yes, for the good of the league, City must not win it, and must not win it so easily!

And I'm wondering why there are so many players who didn't made predictions in this round???

Well/ I got only 3 points in total from 7 games and I'm still not worst in this round. There are quite many unexpected results in this round and there aren't not many users who managed to predict correct outcomes. I hate MU and Mou, but this time I'm happy that they made a comeback and bring me 1.5 point for this game Cheesy.

^  Huh?  It's too early to tell who will win the league.  Lol.  Even if City wins this Sunday, you really couldn't discount LFC.  Chelsea is obv doing really well too.

And I don't think City will be as dominant as they were last season.

Yeah, I know its early days. But, we know that Man city don't usually drop points against the lesser sides, and last year just ran away with the league. Whenever possible points need to be taken from City. I think Liverpool has to get at least a point today. It wouldn't be very good for morale if they don't manage at least that.

Yeah, Chelsea are doing well. I think it'll be between Chelsea, Man City at the end of the season. I'm still undecided whether Liverpool can do it.

On a side note, my bets are doing pretty well at the moment. At half time just need CP to win, and the rest of the games to remain the same.

We are all watching City beat Liverpool of course!
I think you are forgetting that Liverpool almost always up their games against City! Alright, I'll admit it that Liverpool really need to start clicking today if they want to beat City otherwise city has the potential to just run away with the game. I'm hoping Liverpool click. They had a very good start of the season with getting results even when they aren't playing at their best. However, its time for them now to start clicking, and throw all the pre season rustiness off.

I'm really hoping for this game to be the wake up game. Actually had the wrong schedules in place too, thought it was today, but what other game is deserving of Super Sunday, yeah?

Don't get me wrong. I think United will win. But, I don't think its going to be easy for them. I've included a United win on my accumulator. I tend to have different results on my actual betting than this little pool though. I tend to go for more of a gamble here in an attempt to pick up points other people aren't. (its not working)

Same here. Like last week betting on west Ham, but predicting a United win. Doing the same this week, betting on Newcastle but predicting a win. As you can see from my stats, take out the 3 guys who seem to have abandoned the picks, and I'm bottom. Too many gambles, but you never know. I could get 9 exact scores when the stars align Wink

United will struggle against Newcastle I think. However, they should win, and I have gone for a United win. But, I wouldn't be surprised if they did end up drawing or even losing with the current shit show that's going on over there. I think Mou will be given until christmas (probably). I wouldn't trust the mirror personally.

That would be catastrophic for Man.Utd and I have them as my tip of the day in my tipping thread, they have not won from many games now and if they don't do it in front of their fans against a struggling Newcastle when will they do ? Going back to EPL pool I had 1-2 West Ham yesterday night and also have many surprises for this week, I may end with very few points or with lots of them depending if surprises happen today.

Lots of rumors flying around right now about Mou. The Mirror reported that "Senior United sources" said he was to be sacked this weekend, regardless of the outcome against Newcastle, and then Sky Sports reported that United have "dismissed" these rumors.

Regardless of whether or not they are true, they surely signify complete chaos at United right now. The moral and focus of the players has to be at an all time low right now. They should have a very easy win against 18th placed Newcastle, but having said that, they lost 3-1 against 17th placed (at the time) West Ham just a few weeks ago.
