Farewell LEO: o_e_l_e_o
I really had a busy week so did not find time to make the picks. I will be doing them now. I still have FJM to pick too LOL
By the way, not sure about other matches but for Liverpool I am going with a 1 - 2 win.

Talking about the pool, man! I really need to go a long way. This is where I stand LOL

My goal is to have be in the top 10 place this week

Gentlemen, welcome back to what matters in life.

@hilarious ludicrous scoreline is def coming for City but not against Soton for sure, they still bear scars and won't want to open wounds so soon. I actually took a 30/1 bet obviously silly but on the off chance Ings get back into form.

Tell you what looks good value, Wolves away win. Arsenal are light as ever and can't deal with some sass which the Mexicans can do. I parlayed that with pool for 6/1.

A few people still need to put their scores in.

What does everyone think of this weeks opening match between Bournemouth and Man U? Will United comfortably win or will they slip up and return to the previous poor form from a few weeks ago? I think United should win but I don't think it will be easy as Bournemouth are at home and also on equal points with them and for that reason I might go for the draw.

No real games I'm that interested in watching today other than the City game but only in the hope that it'll be a goalfest. I didn't actually realise that City played Southampton in the EFL cup on Tuesday. They beat them 3-1 but with a weakened team. I'll probably actually go for a 4 or 5-0 on the rematch but as I said before I wouldn't be surprised if it was much more but City might put another weakened side out due to the Champions League on Tuesday.

Also still looking for this:

BTW, does anyone have a SkyGo account that they'd be willing to share access to? I can pay for such. Tried to sort accounts for both Dazn and Hotstar but no luck so far.

It's both a good and bad thing (depending on where you are in the table  Grin). My only issue with superbru is the scoring. I think you should get more points for an exact score and with getting 1.5 points for a close score it makes the table even closer. Something like 1 point for the outcome and 5 for the exact score would be more preferable imo.

You say that because you have 3 exact scores and all other wrongs in the last round.  Grin

Lol. Well I actually didn't realise that but I have stated a few times that the points system would be better if it was changed, but since you mentioned it getting three correct scores and finishing mid table for the round is quite harsh  Grin. I think the BBC site we used when I first started the pool was something like 10 points for a correct outcome and 40 for the exact score and that was much better. I like that you can get an extra half a point for a close score on superbru but it makes things far too close in my opinion and getting a correct score should get you a significant bonus since it's relatively hard to do (and getting just the outcome right isn't that difficult).

If Leicester can beat them 9-0 away could it be even worse for them at the Etihad?
Nah, mainly because those kind of scorelines are extremely rare in professional football. How many times have you seen a team conceding something like 16 goals (or more) in just two games? Only in those 5th division games and youth academy football lol I'll go with something like 3-0 or 4-0, comfortable win for City but nothing crazy since they have Champions League next week.

One bad week & you can probably lose 5-6 places on the leader board.
I'm used to it, I'm stuck between 14th (decent week) position and 20th (a bad week) position. I feel like a mid-table team  Sad

I anyone going to go for a ludicrous scoreline on the Man City / Southampton game this weekend? If Leicester can beat them 9-0 away could it be even worse for them at the Etihad? City beat Watford at home 8-0 last month so could they eclipse that? Not sure I'd go for that sort of result but it wouldn't surprise me. I'll probably go for somewhere in the middle. No real thrilling games this weekend really or none I'm that interested in watching except for maybe the possibility of a goalfest in the City game.

That Southampton 0-9 Leicester was a freak scoreline, that score has only been matched once & it was Man Utd vs Ipswich in the 1990’s.

City will batter Saints but I don’t think it’ll be as high as 9-0. Maybe something like 4-0 or 5-0. The game against Leicester they had 10 men for most of it. You’d hole for their sake that the manager has kicked ass & they’ll fight a lot more on the pitch to avoid another humiliation.

Well I don't think it will either, but a team like City should be hammering the shitters regularly by half a dozen goals really. They've already had a couple of 5-0's this season and if they can beat Watford 8-0 and 6-0 this season then I don't think it's out of the question to see a similar score line again or even more. I know Southampton will want to bounce back but that's easier said than done against City at their homeground.

Just off to do my predictions now, going to take my time over them as this pool is too damn competitive.

I do not think it could happen again. Southampton they will play much more cautiously with much more respect to Man City than they had to Leicester. I think he will make maximum effort to avoid another humiliation, although it would be "acceptable" against the Man.City.
very interesting for predict is Arsenal vs. Wolverhampton and Everton vs Tottenham wherein each result is possible. I lost a lot of points on Everton and Wolves games.

Great weekend for me , feeling much happier  Smiley
Congrats to LFC_Bitcoin for the first player to break the 100 barrier.
I’ve got to say this has got to be the craziest prem season ever, apart from Liverpool and Man City it’s incredibly difficult to pick winners. Anybody can pull a result which goes against all form .

Thanks mate, I do my best but it’s incredibly difficult this season in our pool. It’s starting to look even more competitive than last year.

Life, Love and Laughter...
You know you were absolute dogshit when not only did you lose the game but your GK was the MOTM. Gazzaniga saved Pochettino from getting fired right after the final whistle because Spurs could've lost by at least 5 goals.

Fun fact: Liverpool have 28pts out of 30 in the first 10 games. The EPL only saw these numbers three times: two with Man City, and once with Chelsea. Those three times both City and Chelsea won the league title.

It's always easy to blame the manager when a club is losing...  But seriously, it's the players too esp with this current Spurs squad.  I think some players have given everything for the club for less money (compared to what they could've gotten if the played elsewhere) and no trophies.  They have nothing more to give.  Levy should bring in fresh players obv.

4 draws in total from this weeks games and Brighton/Everton and Liverpool/Spurs were very close with 3-2 and 2-1 scorelines respectively, so I wasn't far off. I was the only person to bag three points from the Watford/Bournemouth game ending in 0-0. Had a feeling that would be a bore fest.

What did everyone think of that VAR decision in that game?

I didn't watch the game, tbh. But it strikes me that you're not a fan VAR, I'm not a huge fan either but then with you, It's on another level Lips sealed

Bit of an exaggeration. Maybe watch the latest debacle though. If VAR did what it was supposed to then I wouldn't have any complaints, but getting decisions wrong after 2/3/4/5 minutes of deliberation is counter-productive and a waste of time. It clearly needs tweaking but I think we'd be better off without it at this point or not using it to check every possible thing that could go wrong after every goal.

The easiest game of the season is approaching Grin

I remember that time when Arsenal was the team I feared the most. They were always too fast on the ball and too technical for us, even for the good Benitez teams. Nowadays, it is one of the rare games of the season where I'm really 100% sure that we'll get 3 points. Yes, this team is the best in Liverpool's modern history, but that feeling that I have before the Arsenal game is more about them than about us. It is really a team without any substance, just some good players running around the pitch without any balance, gameplan and coordination.

@Pamoldar. Last season got me a lot of joy predicting 3-0 for Liverpool, if I recall correctly! And I stupidly stuck to it this season haha.

My performance is getting poorer and poorer, slipped to 27th after making a run for above 20. 2 entire points this weekend. Shocking, but I'm not unhappy at all. Won some good bets, lost a few small ones, but Liverpool sit atop the table after 10 games. This is new for me, and I've been following them for 20 years;)

That's a big hole I see there LOL
Jokes aside, yes we finally had it. Man! I was stressed after the first goal. I seriously thought that this time again we were going to lose points but thank god that it did not happened.

Now guess who got another correct score! Including this, I have five correct score for Liverpool in this season 🙂
