Did not expect Bulgaria to comeback win draw this tie... not after playing most of the match a man down! I wasn't even surprised about Azerbaijan winning (incidentally making it 3-0 AFTER surviving red carded too) and Georgia almost beating Scotland -- I've been singing the praises of these Central Asia and Caucasus teams for a while, at the same time believing that Scandinavian football is regressing.

Meaningless to my round, though I'd have liked to build my goals scored count. You know what I learnt today? Dejan Kulusevski is... Swedish!

Oh, and India-Australia cricket final. Surprise...

I hope that I can win 3 points after the Argentina-Uruguay match tonight. I was going to be much more comfortable in this round if I didn't lose to buwaytress.

Shhh, we already got away with it, don't remind people.

Jannik Sinner with a blistering first set of tennis, He's got it by a 6-2 score, going by the first set, this should be an easy wrap for the second set as well, and that would see Rune eliminated from the tournament, I can only hope Sinner doesn't get complacent just yet, the job is never over until it is over!

Despite being 1 question ahead of my opponent I'm not feeling myself safe for the remaining 2 questions at all. Especially about the Belgium question I think that I made a wrong decision. 2-2 between Bulgaria and hungary which is a little surprising. Hungary scored an early goal and it looked like this would be an easy game for them. But Bulgaria managed to equalize but then Bulgaria got a red card and then Hungary should have no problem and win this match, but then they also get a red card and Bulgaria manages to score 2-1 before Hungary manages 2-2 in overtime. weird match 😂 and of course no points for me or mv1986😂

Do we have anyone that actually went for Bulgaria not to lose ? after that early goal from Hungary I just left the livesores app and felt that was a wrap already, little did I know that they were still much drama to unfold down the line. That result still, is of no relevance to me as opponent and myself have an aligned opinion on that match too. However, I'm keen on the Jannik Sinner vs Rune tennis game, it's starting in a few minutes, I'd be needing Jannik Sinner to win this game to have Rune eliminated, that would give me my very first advantage of my fixture.

There was one guy in division 1 who against made his pick against all odds! Tongue I know that jayce has taken riskier picks than this as it wasn't really impossible for Bulgaria to tie the game, but still he is the only one who got it right. It is a valuable point also in regards to potential free bets. Scoring when nobody else does is extra nice! Wink I thought that Israel would really win with the -1.5 handicap. I am really curious about the upcoming tennis match for Alcaraz. That's not an easy one because he has shown a couple of times now that he is still prone games fraught with (unforced) errors.

Football is not individual sport, things like this almost never happen. We are evaluating them on a case to case basis with info we have at that moment. When stuff like that happens usually there isn't an immediate ruling about points. Game gets delayed for whatever reason usual consequences are:
1. Game is played later that day or in next few days - we wait for result and award points
2. Game is postponed indefinitely - question is void
3. Game is stopped at 70 minutes and result proclaimed as valid - we count it as valid as well

I don't think your case ever happened. If it was the case, game would be postponed and new date would be assigned. I give it 1% for 3:0 for Hungary and even if that happened I belive it would come as announcement much later. Weeks after we void the question.

Hope that answers your question. This is a community project, not a multi-billion casino/sportsbook that has to cover every single case imaginable.

We do our best to cover as much as possible but more than half of players can't even be bothered to read first 4 posts. Or post answers on time. In our mind, getting late with answers is the number one issue and has much bigger impact on competition than one question per season that maybe gets voided. That sends a wrong message and could possibly break the good thing we have going on here. Rewards will not grow if we don't have more engaged players and we don't want to babysit players and tell them 5 times to submit their answers, that is not fair for engaged players. And if there isn't growth, there isn't progress and soon comes stagnation and then decay.

Definitely answers my question and I didn't raise this issue out of fun, I just came across a German article and it said how close it is to being evaluated as a 3-0 and I could see some questions coming up when that happens. Similar to what we have seen with Sullivan in snooker now. So no worries, I do hope for - but don't expect - BSFL to grow into a multi-billion dollar project! Tongue But I think if someone is aware of a small gap in the rules, why not share it and we can find consensus here before the problem arises.

Funny side note: I completely missed the Israel game and the last post I saw was from cryptofrka saying that Israel is about to lose 1-0. Good news that there was a surprise in the making when I looked it up.

@Slissy that was my lucky punch in the last few minutes for the moment, let's see if you can hit back hard! Wink Good luck!
Damn switzerland for conceding that goal so late in the game 😁😂 But israel deserved that goal I think they were the best team in this game, they could also have won the match. Bad start and being 1-0 down, but we still have many other answers that can turn the game around 😁

First of all, I need Israel to score 1 goal tonight to get a lead Smiley
You got your wish granted Sad
I told you, you are the favorite in this match.
Damn Israel scored a goal in 88th minute of match against Switzerland, and I am starting this round negative point on first question  Tongue
International matches can be very tricky, especially when teams already qualified for next round.
There is still plenty of questions I answered differently from my nemesis in this round and I am not giving up easy.

Yeah I got that one but there are alot more question with different answer between us so thats going to change nothing for now. Anyway, I guess we can take it easy for today because both of us got the same answer on Hungary vs Bulgaria. I actually changed my answer before I submitted them, I should be taking Hungary to cover -1.5 handicap but changed it when I re-check my answers

I think Im going to hedge a bet on Hungary -1.5 so that I wont feel bad if they ended up winning with over 2 goals difference today  Smiley

South Africa played miserable in their round against Australia, and is close to lose semi-final
Australia needs to go over 212, which should not be a problem for them, as live odds suggest, with @1.16 on Australia to win

hope to see rain and game washed out, but didn't happened

had to start a point down, three different questions remain

Regarding Snooker - the question is worded like this:
Exactly what I was going with my post. I just didn't know how to word it better so I guess I was misunderstood. Since O'Sullivan didn't actually play any games and another player took his spot in the group, he was never in the group stage of the competition.

I'm not sure about this one, but it's all awesome man! If we don't have clear rules on vold question, we'll be having discussions like this tomorrow. He already had group stage games scheduled, and in any other sport, that would have been considered a loss.

FYI: This is not for my interest and with or without snooker question I'm woffing FM ass this week.

Regarding Snooker - the question is worded like this:

7. We have Champion of Champions in snooker this week. Ronnie O’Sullivan is a sports legend and defending Champion here. In which stage will he leave the tournament?

Options were:

Group Stage
Semi Final
Final
He will defend the title

As you can see, neither answer is correct. He did not leave the tournament in the group stage but before it, Ding Junhui took his spot in the group.

Therefore, even if the answer was not made public before we would have voided it - Group stage is not the correct answer.

Nobody wins snooker seems that's the best answer Smiley

Another week of BSFL, another day, and another moment of broken dreams in the final minute, which is why we love football the most. Israel saved many people and broke so many, for once I survived and did not fall behind. Ahead after first shot 1-0, lets go vd309! Hungary same answer so I don't care, but come on Uruguay!!

You guys are not reading the thread. Snooker is already void, mostly because it was made public here before the deadline and that forced our hand a bit. Browse a little and you will find couple of my posts on that topic. In short it is not fair to give a 100% correct answer few hours before the deadline.

Tennis question stands for sure since Tsitsi played one whole match and question is worded in a way that makes it full proof even if we have multiple forfeits. We also have that in the rules.

I don't expect problem with Hungary game but I also wrote about that few posts above.

Isn't is what the VAR is for if the News was already on the thread? Like the majority of us did in Season 2 when the News broke on the thread?

Secondly, there have been situations where the majority of the team went into the round knowing 100% of the answers;

 1. The Manchester City attackers lineup between Foden, Halaand, and Alvarez, where those who waited until the deadline saw the lineup and the question wasn't void.

2. The Messi vs. Bolivia game, where most of us who answered early didn't find out about Messi's injury until it was too late, and those who answered a few hours before the deadline got into the round with 100% answers and the question wasn't void.

I've been speaking out against the void rules since season one; let's not do anything to discredit people that conduct research and favour the lazy ones. This question deserves to stand.

I know most of you want this as much as I do but y'all let me play the bad cop. Yes I'm sheriff.

I noticed that the spreadsheet's snooker question area is yellow. I hope we are not planning to cancel the question because Ronnie O'Sullivan was in the competition until yesterday morning and there was plenty of time for anyone who did research before entering answers to use the VAR. In case there is any doubt, the question remains legitimate.

The Cro2 duo will decide, but I think that this question should stay void. O'Reilly gave up before the competition started and that means he didn't even get to play the group stage of the competition. For me it's all the same because both me and buwaytress answered that he will pass the semi final. Buwaytress answered that he will reach the final and I answered that he will defend the title.

No, he was in the competition until the final minute, and the same thing happened in season 2 when he withdrew from the competition and those of us who got the information used VAR (I was one of them) and the question wasn't void, so what's different this time? Questions like this should benefit those who care about each of the questions.

Tsitsi also withdrew so are we going to void the question for those who picked him?

We already have the Hungary question hanging, the snooker question hanging and potentially the tennis question so what's left to play for?

Just my 0.005 cent.

Damn with that late goal. I really thought that they won't score against Switzerland who conceded only 8 goals in 7 games. I guess I was wrong so now I'm again starting this round with a negative score. I hope that Sinner can win today's match against Rune to level the score 1:1 between me and buwaytress.

Guys I have an interesting question regarding our rules because maybe it becomes relevant one day and I think is not precisely defined or covered with the rules we have in place.

Quote
Forfeits in sports like Tennis or loses due to technical problems in eSports are counted as regular ML wins.

How would the game between Bulgaria and Hungary have been evaluated if it had become true that it doesn't take place because Bulgaria's stadium (that was originally planned as the venue) was a threat to human lives for technical reasons? In some articles it says that the game is about to be evaluated as 3-0 for Hungary. They now found an alternative venue, but what would have been the implications for our BSFL picks? As it was a high risk game, someone could argue that they took into account the game being high risk and therefore had a cancellation and a 3-0 for Hungary in the back of their minds, hence went with a -1.5 handicap win.

@cryptofrka @Trofo maybe if you have a moment of spare time you can address the question I posted here. I get you guys are very busy, so no hurry. Just thought maybe you missed it.

I have just spent a while to figure out how this tends group stage works and what all the possible scenarios are, especially in the group with Alcaraz and Zverev as that is what will decide between me or Slissy getting the point. These group stages are kind of wild. Since there are ist just a single round robin match between the players of each group, there are sometimes quite some weird constellations possible. But I think for me it is clear that Alcaraz has to win.

I wonder whether the bookies get the odds right because Alcaraz isn't the strongest on hardcourt whereas I think it is Medvedev's strongest surface. But they still make Alcaraz the favorite. I thought the odds should be about equal. What do you guys think here?

Honestly our division frustrates me my win in round 2 has become absolutely meaningless and my hard fought win from last week will most likely become meaningless too...looks like that Danydee is the next who will leave.

Yup, this is understandable.
We have Rikafip as the next one to leave, he played for 2 seasons without issues and then did not submit 3 rounds in a row.
It is hard to prepare for stuff like this in advance - you have Kanapka in Division 2 with 2 failed submissions so far for example.

We want you to know that we're tracking this, we don't like it as well because it leads to a poor experience and we won't allow it to spread into the following seasons.
We are already discussing a single Division 3 with 16 teams from next season, with only criteria to enter being the submission consistency.

The problem with Division 3 is that we have to be more lenient, SB of course wants more players and we can't stop submissions, so stuff like this happens without us being able to influence it much.
Anyway, we'll do something - just give us this season to properly analyze it.

Thanks for addressing it.
Maybe it's just me who doesn't like how things are going in 3B and maybe it's me who should leave.
But a Division 3 reform would of course very welcomed from my side.
I personally would even pay a fee for Division 3 but I guess that's something not everyone would like if Division 3 comes with a entry fee.
