How is everyone doing this round?
I'm still down by one point against LFC, but I can still recover with the remaining few questions since I see Carlos Sainz starting in the first position for the Italian GP, and in the MotoGP, there are three Spanish drivers in the first five positions. I only need these guys to maintain their spot and i'll be securing a draw at the very least. Wink

I really need Ons Jabeur to win her own 3rd round match to get me a better advantage.

Better advantage, I thought you win if Jabeur win? I just checked this and if Jabeur win her 3rd round then you won this round against Jayce because you will have +2 SD. There will be only 1 question left between you guys but if Jabeur lose her 3rd round then the decisive question would be the H2H on question #8 so goodluck to either you or Jayce on this round

I guess my wordings weren't explicit enough by using the term better advantage, instead of saying It would guarantee my win for this round. However, for this context I was making reference to the question 8 H2H, I feel like I have a better chance than him, because  it would be my SGA and Willy Hernangomez for his Schröder and KAT, so I'm fancying my chances on that question with SGA, but I would prefer our round not to be decided by that question, because I've lost almost all the games that had to end with such questions in this season  Wink

Alcaraz finally dropped a set to Daniel Evans and thus go the answer 0-2 sets for him and Djokovic combined for set loss, with Rybakina loss as well, the margin for error is getting slimmer for me. I really need Ons Jabeur to win her own 3rd round match to get me a better advantage.

I think that Jabeur is going to win tonight even if she has difficulties. I'm still not able to understand how Djokovic got 2-0 behind. It is very interesting. By Pegula's winning today the challenge between me and casperBGD has been equalized again. And I don't expect this tie to be broken on the last question as well. casperBGD acted early to congratulate me again. Smiley

How is everyone doing this round?
It looks like a dead race between me and leea-1334, and so far we both managed to get only one answer correctly  Grin
Very weird betting weekend for me but I hope things will turn in my direction when time is ready and every point counts.
Shame to see Newcastle losing against Brighton today, they are slowly slipping in table and they need to make some corrections asap.

I mean at 36, it's really crazy that he can outlast most the young ones with ease, but Djere really did give him a run for his money,

TBH, Djere was nowhere near winning this match, and odds on Djokovic at 0:2 are showing that perfectly
tennis is a difficult sport, you need to win that last set from 0:0, and Djere was simply out in all those three sets early on, didn't even upset Djokovic mind at any time, losing first serve in each set from third to fifth

with all said, Towns scored 39, Milan won, and that is call for losing this round for me, congrats CLS63 on a win

I don't think that I have won yet. I hope you turn out to be right. It wouldn't be a surprise at all if I lose points depending on the result of the tennis match. Vucevic isn't among my predictions as well.18 points against USA is really not bad.

You must have both Pegula and Jabeur lose to win this point if only one of them loses then it will be a tie on that question 6 😁

How come? You have all yes and I have No on Pegula and Jabeur. So it means that I only need one of them to fail to have one more point than you on that question. For example, if all if them except Pegula win their three matches, you would have 5 points and I would have 6 (I know that one already lost but we both have her as Yes). Why would I need both of them to lose their third match?

EDIT: Sorry, I'm stupid again. If one of them lose, then it will be a tie Smiley

Trofo you got Rybakina right already, well done. Now I must hope Pegula and Ons progress otherwise you already will be ahead of me. We're both doing so badly this round, 5 questions gone and 2-1.

I guess I'm losing this one but Djokovic gave me a lot of hope, if Alcaraz loses just one set I'm even there!

The same goes for me too. I need Alcaraz to lose only one set to get that answer right and for Pegula or Jabeur to drop out to get ahead of Slissy. We have enough different answers to keep this round intense to the very end. I really need this win to keep me off the lower part of the table. In the last three rounds I'm up against the last three players who will try to do their best to avoid relegation.

I was surprised Djokovic lost 2 sets. When we look at the odds before the match, it was 1.35 on 3-0 in a set for djokovic.. As for Alcaraz, the odds of under 3.5 set are 1.36 right now.. This makes it extra exciting for both 😁 I still have faith that Pegula and Jabeur win today😁

I'm sure at least one of them will lose and that Alcaraz will lose at least one set so I get one point ahead of you Tongue I really need this win. But there are a lot of other questions where I can lose or win a point. It will be extra interesting Smiley

Djokovic looking really shaky, might even lose here.

Not sure, even though he lost in 2 sets the betting market still supports him odds @1.30 if we bet on Djokovic and @3.3 for Djere
The betting market predicts that Djokovic will make a comeback and it looked like he would secure the 3rd set without giving a single point to Djere
Regarding the 1st and 2nd sets, is Djokovic joking? I mean, deliberately giving gamblers a surprise  Cheesy

I wouldn't be surprised if he came back and won bro, I've seen this a lot this tournament already.

This is Djokovic at its best. I am sure there is plenty of data analysis about players losing 1st set and sometimes 2nd set if it's a 5 set game, but the discussion has existed for a long time and I think I remember a press conference where he was confronted with the allegation that he behaves like an actor in the early phase of a game although I think that might go too far as he did indeed lose more matches than he won when he was 0-2 down. But still the turnarounds are sometimes so confusing that there is hardly any reasonable explanation for that.

A game this like this is the best reason for people to think that something must be wrong:

I tried to find out whether Laslo Đere was injured, but seems not.

Not gonna lie I thought it was quite fishy but meh, it is what it is, hopefully Alcara loses a set today.

And there she goes what a headache WTA is Jesus SMH.
Come on, that was hardly unexpected. Going into the tournament I am surprised Rybakina even got this far, same goes for Jabour and Pegula from our choices. Maybe the other two will not lose in this round but I don't expect them to go much further. While I expect Swiatek and Sabalenka to waltz their way to final. Gauff is a though one to call, she could be a dark horse and even win the whole thing or just break apart and loose first time it gets really though.

Djokovic wasn't joking that's why most tennis loves him, he makes every game worth their money and time to watch him play, he just never look fazed regardless of what the odds are for him to lose, even if it's a 5 love game and 40 love match point deficit for him.

I mean at 36, it's really crazy that he can outlast most the young ones with ease, but Djere really did give him a run for his money, and puts us with the 2 sets or less on the line, because Alcaraz now needs to get the job done in straight sets against high flying Daniel Evans with losing any, that looks like a huge task, but there is nothing the young Spaniard isn't capable of himself too.
