Trofo and myself are playing ofc, this pool is already legendary and the rewards are amazing again so take a look and join if it's something that interests you.

We might even have questions in the BSFL on who from forum members will do better in this pool Grin

Ruud is out, my bet was on Medvedev not to reach his best Wimbledon score so far, 4 round, but Ruud happens to blow first
Rybakina is also close to be out, on medical time-out, although she lead at the moment
edit: she survived, but questionable can she do another win, after knee injury

Damn it! I seem to can't get a hold of myself this season. I really thought that all four will advance to the next week of Wimbledon. If only Tsitsipas was in question... Then I would surely answer to not to advance to the next week. Now I'm down 2-0 against jeremypwr who usually gets 5-6 correct answers this season. Thankfully Scotland didn't qualify in cricket so we got a draw on that question...

Today we have Norrie playing his second match against Eubanks. He should be able to win it.

/snip

Swiatek plays her 3 round tomorrow, although against a tough opponent Martic Petra world No. 30, Swiatek should get her own job done first then I can fully root for Rybakina to do hers too.

Petra Martić doesn't have good record against Swiatek as she lost both of their games so far with a straight 2-0.

That being said, I'm 9/8 on basketball 1st half overs picks since last week, and I got some big money from the U19 championship. I cannot wait for the NBA season to begin.

I know good you are with risk analysis and your stuffs too, but NBA should considered as the 2nd devils sport right after Tennis (as regarded by Nigeria Gambling Twitter), I'm sure your perspective will change in the regular season, because the summer league is a completely different ball game my bro! It's a completely different ball game entirely.

Nope, nothing would change. Last season, I got my first seven-figure payoff from NBA picks. Nigeria gambling Twitter players have been sucking millions and millions from NBA, tennis, and baseball; these are the most popular sports betting in Nigeria now, and football picks is on its way out; the odds are not worth the risk, unlike NBA and other stuffs.

Most bookies with NBA lowerlines do not allowed Nigerians anymore, those guys wreck alot of bookies last season.  Grin

Yes, football is the becoming the most worthless sport to bet on due the low odds that doesn't get justified by the chances of occurrence, even the over and under are becoming the same thing, you can't comfortably have Barcelona, Bayern, Man City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and PSG on Over 2.5 as a parlay for each of the 38 game weeks and expect to win between 30-50% of the time, while they are the team that are expected to be score a lot weekly and the chances that you'll get up to 10 Odds for this selection is also going to be quite low.

Again this DOTA talk guys please, dont you have separate topic for that? Or even better separate Dotatalk forum?  Wink
It is all Trofo fault, and I blame him for my bad start in this round with zero correct answers until now  Cry
There is still time to turn result around like last time, but slaman29 already have a nice lead.

Someone tell me about Tour de France how to see? They have GRAND standings and also winner of each race. Is it points system for wins or just total time taken?

it is total time, so what you make in one round/race/stage whatever you called it
and Vingegaard took the lead in front of Pogacar today, although Pogacar won this stage, mid-mountain stages usually decide whole race (and some mountain as well), and they are both good in mountain stages, not sprinters

Ruud is out, my bet was on Medvedev not to reach his best Wimbledon score so far, 4 round, but Ruud happens to blow first
Rybakina is also close to be out, on medical time-out, although she lead at the moment

If I'm not mistaken didn't Cornet suffer the injury?

Yes, it was Cornet that suffered the injury not Rybakina and her round 3 would be against Boulter, so she should be able continue with her streak and get a win again, and that could also be her last game for the week which would mean just Iga Swiatek left to look out for.

Swiatek plays her 3 round tomorrow, although against a tough opponent Martic Petra world No. 30, Swiatek should get her own job done first then I can fully root for Rybakina to do hers too.

Liquid is really on fire! Took a look at Bali, nice to see BetBoom getting punished for... one of their players alt-tabbing a stream during game pause (can anyone explain why that's a no-no, and if so, why he did it when it was clear he would be caught?).
It's not allowed because watching the stream gives them information and it was on the same level as cheating since the game is paused for quite a while too. I also don't know why he'd watch the stream out of the blue, but I guess he didn't read the rules or did it without thinking. On the other hand, Team Liquid should have an easy time beating Tundra tomorrow.
One more piece of info that ralle14 forgot to mention because it is probably obvious to regular DOTA fans.

Watching streams is forbidden since DOTA game is a lot about positioning and players don't see the map in a way we see it. They have fog of war which basically means somebody watching the stream has great advantage. Streamers also always comment on new items and state of game which is info that other team does not have. Blink or BKB reveal can mean a difference between lost or won fight if you surprise the opposition. And those are relatively cheap items.

^ Yeah Ruud out, sucks ass. I was more worried about others, not Ruud. Thankfully, not one of the few questions where I differ from LTU.

I picked Liquid and Gaimin, the two teams from memory have the best records. No idea if they were favs even. Seems pretty hard to say.
I also went for them because it'll take a few rounds before they meet, and it's looking good. If they both win on Friday, we're guaranteed to see one of them in the final.

That's right, fellas, that's me reading Bali Major news... and is it me or is it 10x better covered by the media than all the other tourneys in BSFL so far? I mean, my feed was full of news when I searched, fresh, fresh ones too. Wasn't at all that way for Dreamleague and previous tourneys.

3-0 is the default 'forfeit' result in football, that's why that one was implemented. We can think it over, but I really hope it won't be necessary.

I hope it won't even be needed at all for this season, so there is no complicated issue needing you guys to make an uneasy decision.

Is anyone else watching the World no 4 getting RUUD out of Wimbledon by the No. 143 ranked Broady ? 6-0 in the 5th set, there goes the biggest upset so far in this tournament, and for everyone who went for No in the 4th question have their answers already  Roll Eyes

DOTA is actually on of the easiest sports to predict when I am watching a lot of games on some tournament. This time that wasn't the case, did not watch a single game and made a ticket just by hunch and results I checked. Not something that I share usually and you can see stake is small. For instance if you want for today, I believe all 4 games will go over 2.5 maps but again that is far from certain but odds are good and that is what I played. Singles and one multi.

I played the Betboom and Team Aster  over 2.5 maps @3.9 odd just exactly what I needed toda, the other two games are already started.
If we ever meat in real life I expect at least a bear for shares like this. 4/4 correct, each with odds @1.9 or more. Damn I am really becoming DOTA specialist. This is now 8/8 in two days. Too bad one game got changed and my initial multi got partially paid out but still a nice boost to my bank Smiley

Where are those cricket or formula specialists. I want some free picks as well.

Thank you for the great pick, but I was too late, so I just played 2/2. I told buwatress the same thing, and I'll tell you again, the world is a tiny place, and I'm relocating to Europe next year, so there's a strong possibility we'll meet and drink to stupor, a great 40 years old whisky to begin with.

That being said, I'm 9/8 on basketball 1st half overs picks since last week, and I got some big money from the U19 championship. I cannot wait for the NBA season to begin.

BetBoom Team is out of tournaments so there will be no finals for them. So I have a slight advantage there.

Ruud is out of the tournament, he was crushed 6-0 in the last set. I wanted to answer YES but Ruud was the player I was most unsure about. Luckily I made the right choice 😁 Unfortunately my opponent has the same answer 😂

Edit: Portugal-Italy 1-1 after 35 min so both team to score YES

I don't know about the others, but I absolutely wouldn't mind if you decide to set up a rule where being late to submit answers equals to losing the round (for example you can set up beng an instant 3-0 loss like in football).

I think that we are all given more than enough time to answer those questions, and those who are willing to wait until last moment for a slight benefit will have to accept the risk as well.

If we didn't have 17 new players this season, we would have went that way for sure.
Eventually it is planned to work like that, and will probably happen already in Season 3.

I think this have been discussed at some point on this thread before, but what I might not really like is it just been a 3-0, and 3 points too, I proposed 3 points, but just 1+ goal difference for the user getting the 3 points, because the points difference might end up being a very significant factor here by the end of the season, because the score line difference are often very marginal, for example there is just 3 goal difference between myself at 5th position and CLS63 at the top of the table, while he has 5 points advantage over me, so the 3+ SF might be quite a stretch in the threshold of having an unfair advantage, after getting 3 points which already isn't fair to other participants, while I understand that if the user that submitted their pick score is counted against a user that all their answers are void, it could be a lot more than the proposed +3 SF, I just think we should also be conscious about finding an even ground for other participants too, if such a change is to be implemented.

Maybe England might really pull this off and lift the trophy, but It's not just as going to be an easy stretch and I don't know who even the bookies would have as favorite here

England @ 2.65 is the bookies favorite to win the final.

That's just as I expected, that is for England to be the favorites even if slightly, but with the odds for a potential draw being involved, this is more like 50/50 odd for the bookies, upon checking on the Flashscore average bookies odds, Spain is the slight favorite now @ 2.75, while England to win is valued at @ 2.77, with a 3.46 Odds for stalemate.

I might end up chasing the Odds for the draw, that seem like the most valuable of all 3 options so far imo, except I get extra insight or let's call gutsy inspiration to go with just either of them to win.

We hope that we won't have to take that route, although even that would be more fair than this 'case per case' stuff that we are trying to keep in place just so that the penalties aren't too big for being a bit late.

I know that this way you are trying to sort of "force" people to stop procastinating and submit their answers in time, but if he didn't get any real advantage over me by being late I woulnd't mind if you counted those 4 answers.

Nah, trying to force them is the last thing that we want to do. We just want to keep it fair, and if somebody is in a different time zone and is sleeping at deadline time he's already at a disadvantage.
If in the future rounds we'll have just 1 question that carries a negative point, we risk that people might calculate and submit on Thursdays.

It really is hard to make these decisions on a case to case basis, and we don't want to make a rule in which submitting the answers late means an instant loss. We hope that we won't have to take that route, although even that would be more fair than this 'case per case' stuff that we are trying to keep in place just so that the penalties aren't too big for being a bit late.

My opinion is that a rule must be the same for all. If the rule says that answers for questions whose games have already started will be voided, they should be voided. In all competitions rules are there for a reason and if you start making exceptions, there will always be someone who thinks that he/she deserves an exception. It may sound hard, but it will be easier for you guys. There are a lot of us in the competition and you should make it easier for you to manage the competition.

I see that the majority of people answered as "Mercedes" to the 9th question. This made me really surprised because Ferrari have brought serious upgrades to the car. I thought that they would be potentially ahead of Mercedes on paper.

Me too, I thought everyone would go for Ferrari actually, and thought maybe I would be a smart guy to pick Mercedes, but mainly because I think Hamilton would have an advantage in this track, I always feel like locals get such a big boost. Guess a lot of others thought the same Wink

@Jinetics1111 looks like we have something to fight for next round!
