I didnt wat h the game, but it's hard to predict an ice hockey game where USA is playing. It all depends how far is their NHL season because players which clubs gets kicked out of the playoffs are free to play for the national team. And it's a big difference when NHL players are playing for the national team and when they are not playing.

I actually prefer when it is like this and USA is missing a lot of players. Then bookies always underestimate them like yesterday. I don't know exactly the team that they brought this year but usually it is full of very good young players that will give their best to prove they are good enough to play play offs next time this competition comes along Grin

Mitch picked "Aston Villa under 5,5 shots on target and over 1,5 goals". Now that can happen of course, but I thought that the under/over in this combination narrows down the range of opportunities quite a lot. If Aston Villa scores 2 goals, that is already 2 shots on target. If Aston Villa has 4 shots on target but has not scored by then, the point is gone. That is why I thought I would either go with over/over or under/under.

And after all I have no idea what Tottenham's plan is for tomorrow to surprise us all! Cheesy

That's right. As you know, I am a fan of the underdogs. I had placed a bet in favor of Sevilla, but in the end, they couldn't hold onto the goal they scored in the first half of the match.

I think we will see many surprises this week, so I will choose some underdogs and bet on them. Maybe we will have some luck and get a share of the winnings. Grin

I have to admit that watching soccer while hoping that not too many goals are scored is a bit weird. I usually rarely bet on low goal count because I can't enjoy the game as much when I watch it.

mitchr4 doesn't care, he can cheer every single time when there is a goal, I have to hit the bull's eye with 4-5 in two games. But the game between Ac Milan and Inter showed that it can even stop after 11 minutes. Those who bet on over 2 goals probably went crazy towards the end.

That's why coaches tend to pull a goalie out and attack in the last two minutes. But the problem is when a defender loses control of the puck. Not really expecting this but against AC Milan, its just seems reasonable that he is able to score but I dont really see how he will score when Inter win then meet either City or Madrid on the final. I was betting handicaps on hokey for a season or two when Medveščak was playing in KHL and I was watching many of those games live. Anyway you would be surprised how rarely that handicap actually passes. I was thinking exactly the same, if you are trailing 1 goal difference you pull out the goalie and either draw a game or loose with bigger difference, wrong. It usually comes to nothing in hockey, I guess we are preconditioned by futsal where playing without goalkeeper almost always results with goals.

I was really hoping that Haaland gives Real Madrid the knockout in extra time. That would have been the 2-0 for me against @mitchr4 Wink

Today nothing can happen in my semifinal as we both gave the same answers. It will all be about the Europa and Conference League and I see it coming that we'll end up in the final Espanyol vs. FC Barcelona game. We have completely different answers on that one except for the end result that Barca will win.

The reason I picked "4,5 goals" in both games of the EL was because it is the first leg. They way the Real Madrid - Manchester City game ended was typical. Both teams didn't push through in the end and I kind of expect that in the EL as well. But of course one goal festival out of coincidence could always happen and then @mitchr4 could come out on top.
