I don't believe this was matter of bad luck since it happened two times in a row. Its simply lack of concentration and poor defending. Also, wining penalties has very little with luck as well as its mostly about psychology and composure. If it wasn't then everyone woould have similar percentage, while there are simply some who are better at it than the others (for example, Modric is not very good at it and it showed once again).


Our chances are indeed very slim, but this "we don't deserve to qualify with 2 points" is imho bs. Back in 2016 Portugal had 3 draws in their weak group (Iceland, Hungary, Austria) yet they managed to end as champions, with only 1 win in regular time (vs Wales in 1/2 final). I doubt anyone there is saying "man, we shouldn't have even passed the group when we couldn't beat anyone".



Difference is, against Albania we were chasing their lead while vs Italy were defending almost whole second half. And thanks to ingenious Dalic selection of players, we didn't have a single DM on the bench.

Man, I am still feeling absolutely gutted, maybe even worse than after that loss vs Turkey back in 2008(even though once again we were shit). Worst of all is, if we managed to beat Italy, our next opponent would be Switzerland and we woulnd't be without chances against them.

The odds are stacked. There are already three third place holders on 3 point and only one of them has played, others on 2 and 1 with a better goal difference and a game to spare, it will take an extremely lucky series of events for Croatia to go through, but luckier things have happened in football. The key is it may not be deserved though, the team has not been decisive enough or good in defense. In the 2019 World Cup they conceded only one goal in the group stage, this tournament they've let in 6.

I am still on tilt after I chickened out in the Germany - Switzerland match.
In any other competition I went for a draw and had 0-0 or 1-1 in mind but not on LMS
Hope that it won't backfire and very unlucky for Croatia yesterday.

I don't think that anyone expects Croatia so qualify with two points. We don't deserve it. I guess bad luck had to happen after all those penalties in the last World cup. We had incredible luck back then and now we had to have some bad luck.

I still don't understand what Beozovic was doing the whole 90 minutes in the game. When he was replaced against Albania, we changed the way we were playing and suddenly everything looked much better.

We had 2 right backs in the game at the end (Juranovic and Stanisic) yet that guy Zacagni was all alone on the left at 98th minute. What to say other than both of them went full retard...

Then again, it's no coincidence that this is the 2nd time this is happening to us during this tournament.

I had croatia to score 1 goal and I got my point from that but at this rate Im losing point from the pre-tournament question because Denmark could likely advance further than Croatia. Too bad though, if only Croatia kept that 1 goal lead till the final whistle

Man what a injustice in football looks like, Italy do nothing and in the last ball they ended up qualifying with that awesome last minute goal pure skills+luck.

The most sad part is Croatia now needs a miracle to go into the R16. The only good part i have them to score only one goal in this match.

Yes Croatia where initially dominating Italy up to a point they where leading that 1-0, but instead of the Croatian team to capitalize on that one goal and put more pressure on Italy and score more goals, Instead they relaxed and allowed the pressure to come on them during the die minute of the game, unfortunately for the Croatians the Referee added additional 8 minutes to extra time of play, and the Italian made sure they used the remaining minutes to their advantage, they eventually scored to make it 1-1. So Croatia and Albania are the least in Group B, Spain having 9 points and Italy having 4 points, so they both have qualified for the next stage of the competition.

Croatia almost got it qualified and they needed to have held on what they achieved,it is a shame they were equalized in the last minute of the added time of the second half after showing such a good performance,unfortunately they are already 5th of the 6 best 3rd ranked teams so they cannot move forward from where they are but credit to them during this game,they played really well against Italy and they came out third in the group.

Well done to Albania also in the second half where they had a lot of chances and Broja should have scored,in fact he should have played in the first minute as ex Chelsea player both in here and in Croatia game,in Croatia game he should definitely have scored,these were Sylvinho errors.So both Balkan countries out of the group unfortunately,more unfortunate for Croatia of course who had everything under control until the 98th minute.

I cannot believe that again we have conceded a goal in the last minute. We were playing shit in the first half and again started playing in the second half. And everything repeated the same as against Albania. But with the way we are playing, we didn't deserve anything but to go home.

I had 6 points by the end of Round 2. I'm still far away from the top of course but I'm still going to do my best. I started Round 3 decently first by predicting Hungary to win thanks to that last second goal. But I failed on the 2nd and 3rd questions already. Probably on the 10th question as well unless Portugal win by at least a 4-goal difference.  I hope that this won't be my last round. I'm having quite much fun here while watching Euro 2024.

By the way what a goal by Zaccagni in the last minute! Croatia were really unlucky to concede that goal in the last second.

I need Morata to score tonight for the pre tournament prediction but it does not look like he will even get on the pitch tonight, I do not see him coming on with first place already in the bag for the Spaniards.

I have Croatia to not score against Italy. It’s HT now and 0-0, I am not watching the game but looking at the stats Italy have only had 38% possession which indicates Croatia are dominating the match with the ball at least.

Maybe I have made a bad decision here, this is not a great Italian team like in the past.

That was pretty bad, I had that game on draw as well but its always kinda frustating to watch a late minute goal in this situation when I was expecting a draw. Anyway we both have Croatia to score 1 goal tonight but at this rate Im not sure if they are going to score, Italy is just way much better. Expecting Modric to score from free kick should be more realistic, I hope this happened on 2nd half

I just saw Croatia lineup for game vs Italy and I can't fucking believe it - Dalic decided to keep Brozovic despite him being fucking awful and on top of that we gonna play without wings and a classic striker. I sure hope that I am proved to be wrong, but the only way I see us winning this is we have shit load of luck, like we did when we beat Italy back in 2002 WC.

I cant believe that stupid Hungary scored a goal in stoppage time that was 10 minutes after regular 90 minutes, and ruined my draw prediction  
Yesterday I didnt even saw this goal and I was sure final result was 0:0, I think this ruined my chances in Last Man Standing.

I am happy with that point from Hungary,it was like a gift for most of us and honestly I was watching Germany game and was sad when it ended 1-1,checked the Flashscore for the other game and it was minute 90+5 in that game and result was showing 0-0 so I got to sleep and thought what a bad start with just 0 points after 2 games.Wake up today and just checked instinctively and saw 0-1 as a result,said to myself when the f did Hungary scored the goal and saw it was the minute 90+10 when they had scored,a bad moment to concede for Scotland but fully deserved as they were wanting the draw and when you want the draw you get hit,that is the unwritten law of football,hopefully I manage to get the free bet as I think that is the maximum I can get from such tournament,a good one really but almost impossible to win compared to the legacy format of Superbru which we all love.

Bad start again, Germany were lackluster for most of the playing time, I expected more energy after they went behind and hoped they will come back from behind to win, then I gave up on that and hoped Scotland will hold on for a draw. Lots of points still on the table.
