quick question... has amd/msi released new bios versions for the polaris series that are not recognized by SRBPolaris?
Weirdest thing just happened.

I picked up a few rx 570 8gb refurbished by MSI from newegg.
They look brand new with matching s/n boxes (not brown boxes)
When opening the bios in SRBPolaris V3.5 (same for V3.3) it reports "Bios is UNKNOWN, card may get damaged after flashing"
It shows the timings and everything but so far I can't get it to work with 1500> straps

I saved the stock bios with Atiflash_293 (maybe that is the culprit?)

With stock straps it hashes at 28.7mh/s in PhoenixMiner_5.3b (27-28 pool side) OC'd to cc:1170 and mc:2100 both on mV:850
No crashes and Phoenix reports a 68C temp with 108.4W power draw.
Wattman reports correctly the OC settings applied by OverdriveNTool

If I copy 1500 straps > then flash the new bios, pixel patch and OverdriveNtool I can't find a setting that works.
I tried every combination possible from cc 1100-1200 and mc from 1900-2100 and mV from 850-1000
As soon as Phoenix miner starts and applies the OC settings it either hangs or bsods.

Tried 3 different amd drivers. same outcome. currently on blockchain driver

I can provide the original bios if anyone can or wants to help investigate

I guess it's not terrible with stock hash. It's been about 2 years since I last did this so maybe I'm not up to date on things. I remember stock hashes on rx 570 used to be in the low 20s

Any help is greatly appreciated

Well, editor is not supported for a long time, and manufacturers maybe put some new tricks into BIOS

Hello everyone Smiley
...

No, its 2GB version...but did you check memory type? BIOS on techpowerup is for hynix only, use
GPU-Z to check your memory type
...

This is what I see ("Memory size" is important part, not, not "Type")
...

But, who knows, its not rare occasion to see 5-6 versions of same card, that are not exacly "the same"

I found this BIOS https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/189667/189667 and will give a try. It did not show up on techpowerup site on their list...

Hello everyone Smiley

No, its 2GB version...but did you check memory type? BIOS on techpowerup is for hynix only, use
GPU-Z to check your memory type

In "BIOS Internals" of this BIOS there is:
"GPU Device Id: 0x1002 0x67EF
113-BAFFIN_PRO_160513_D5_2G_HY_0_SF_W83
C99401 BAffin PRO A1 GDDR5 128bit 4GB 214e/300m
(C) 1988-2010, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
ATOMBIOSBK-AMD VER015.050.000.000.000000
460P2SF1.W83"

Thats why I think something is going wrong with this bios. Other manufacters like ASUS or MSI have there 2GB instead 4GB. On BIOS from MSI card work with good colors when posting but I cant set high resolution in windows. On this xfx bios card posts with green stripes every second column, after loading windows colors and resolution is fine but it is unstable... On every one of 9 cards  Huh  I know - 1 or 2 can be dead but all of them? Especially when they were mining without errors.

I got Hynix and Elpida memory, I know this bios wont fit all of my cards.

Hello everyone Smiley
I have 9pcs of XFX 460 2GB Single Fan. I would like to sell them, they have modded bios for CN. Unfortunatelly I lost original BIOS... Can anybody share original bios from his card?

I can tell that this one https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/185795/xfx-rx460-2048-160727 is wrong and cards sometimes crash or dont start. Probabbly it is from 4GB version..

Thank you for hard work. I have Sapphire RX 570 8Gb (Hynix/Micron), after trying to open bios, SRBPolaris said - Unknown BIOS.
Can you add support for this card?

You can find original bioses for various cards here:

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/

Keep in mind that you have to be very careful,

as same card can have different versions with slight variations

(memory type, different cooler, even difefrent number os shaders

like various RX560 cards)

Does anyone have an original Bios (or any bios) for an XFX RX 570 8gb RS Black Hynix memory? I am having issues with this card.

You not the only one, I have drawer with around 22 of the RX 580 models stuffed completely. Same memory chips as other brands I own but they just died...

Hmmm. Haven't had good luck with PBE since latest 18.03 windows update.
Are there any issues with older drivers or do you rec the latest windows drivers for AMD? I have 18.3 drivers I believe.

No.
You need to modify BIOS for unlocking and that BIOS (modified/Shader unlocked) to flash in to cards.
That's all.
