The Lazarus group is certainly the most powerful and the most feared hacking group of the world currently, you must have heard of them before but you should not remember. People avoid to talk about them on internet in addition. It's not a very good news for Stake, if they are targeting by them to be honest. True, which is weird when you think about it. Country where citizens doesn't have an internet access or real computer education manages to pull off somehing like this is mind boggling. I am assuming that most loyal people will get some sort of access to education about cyber security / hacking. But it's still weird compared to western system. It is well documented that autocratic countries send their most loyal students abroad to the best universities they can pay, so they can return back and offer their services to the regime. It is something which have been well documented, how China pays for students to go to Harvard.
So it is easy to picture a country where internet is forbidden for the normal and common people but it is widely available for the North Korean elite and their hacker groups who get money for them, literal fortunes without having to be afraid of prosecution for years (if ever).
Hopefully after this unfortunate attack, casinos will get some extra security measures to make those criminals to put infinitely more effort to even have a chance to succeed again.
