You have seen how the temptation of the game can make you last longer from gambling so that you run out of money when you should be able to stop at the right time, namely when you manage to bring your balance to $ 600. I've experienced it and I think other friends have also experienced it so from now on, we have to be even more careful in gambling. And if we have succeeded in getting a win and can increase our money balance to bigger, we must stop immediately. If not, we will experience events as you experienced.
I should have stopped gambling when I managed to triple my balance but the addiction and fun of it didn't stop me from gambling.  So I continued to gamble for a long time and at one point panicked and started placing high amount single bets and the balance quickly returned to $0. It was the result of my greed and stupidity. these teach me a lot. So I don't blame my mistakes.  Because I can learn a lot from them
It is because of this that not only we need to have limits when we are losing but also when we are winning, after all it is understandable that when you are having a good session you do not want to quit as you think about all the money you have lost and that you want to recover, but as we know luck is impossible to control, so at some point your luck will stop and then you will begin to lose, and when that happens you could get desperate and try to get back at least the money you were earning, and as we know once you reach that point most likely your session will not end well.

If a gambling addict isstubborn as you can tell from your personal experience then it really seems like only bankruptcy can make them stop gambling.
But if you think about it, even though they are broke and have no money at all, they can borrow to keep gambling.
But believe me, not all gambling addicts are like this, there are only a few.

Yes, that's how things are now, they don't even just borrow, they even dare to "beg" their friends.
I agree that not all gambling addicts are like that, but I say here is the worst effect that I have seen with my own eyes. Intentions are indeed the main thing, but what steps does he take to realize his intentions. If you only intend, then everyone can do it, but not everyone can align their actions and intentions. I just hope, even though I'm also a gambler, but I hope I can control what I do so it doesn't make things more difficult.

It is easier to say it than do it, gambling addictions are of different levels this you must understand, there are level of addictions that will only take the grace of God for the victim to come out of it, it doesn't matter how many books the victim reads or how many card tricks the individual try to perform in a day, this can not replace the urge to gamble, most especially when the individual involved have easy access to money 💵.

Same with the story of my gambling journey.
More than one year ago I was a serious gambling addict because all the money I earned from work and business was just spent on gambling all the time not only in online casinos but also in street casinos.
I don't care how much money I lose when betting, but as time goes on the business is experiencing a decline in work, a problem occurs which makes me have no money to bet and have to stop gambling immediately in order to keep my family so that I can still be harmonious and financially adequacy.
Since that incident I can think that gambling addiction almost made me lose everything including my family and now I control myself more to gamble, only playing once or twice a week, also with small money.
Yeah, gambling addiction is not a habit anybody should ever pray for, your story is almost similar to a friend of mine, the only difference is that, that of my friend is way worst than yours.

Him and his wife were both working for the same company, at the end of the month when salary is paid, my friend will gamble with almost every thing he got for the month, leaving a very Little amount for feeding, which eventually can not carry him and his wife and children all through the month till the next salary.
What this guys does is, at the middle of the month when he no longer has money to gamble, he will start stealing from his wife's purse to gamble..

At a point, he told me everything and asked me to help him, I told him to just stop, he said he has tried, but just can't help it.
He was still battling with this habit before I traveled out of that state, and eventually, we lost contact with each other, i leant his wife later left him, together with his kids, I just hope he's doing fine now though.
From my experience and the experiences of your friends, we can all take the positive side of not being too dependent on gambling.
If gambling addiction is too severe, not only will the economy be destroyed, but families that have been built harmoniously for years may also be destroyed, and in the end, feelings of guilt and regret will always overshadow the lives of gambling addicts who have lost everything.
I am very grateful that I was still able to stop gambling addiction in the past because at that time all I thought about was family and family so it didn't make me experience the same as your friend.

Something that is easy for gambling addicts to do is just to keep themselves busy with all positive activities or work in a place where many people can interact directly, that will slowly change the mind of the gambling addict to forget about gambling.
But it all also has to have support from people around or family who can make the addict become more eager to recover.
A gambling addict may not see even the easiest one because it is difficult for him to carry out other positive activities. This is almost like the situation with someone addicted to playing games on his cell phone, which makes him forget what he has to do that day. And he indeed needs support from people around him or family to help him recover from his gambling addiction and not fall deeper into gambling.
A person addicted to gambling is always irritable and rarely gets angry and rarely thinks about anything other than gambling. And to get himself out of this addiction he must need the help of his friends because family members cannot be told everything but it is possible to share everything with friends.  So a wise friend can save another gambling addict friend from deeper gambling addiction.

It is very easy to get addicted to gambling.  I don't gamble regularly.  But today I got addicted playing live blackjack on stake.com and made a lot of profit. I started playing with $200 and after 2 long hours of play I managed to make my balance $600.  But its addiction doesn't let me off the gambling board.  And I play more and play like that for 5 long hours and finally I make my balance to $0 Lips sealed Gambling is actually an addiction that easily passes the time.  If someone gambles just for entertainment and wants to pass his leisure boring time.  And if money is no matter to him.  Then he can gamble it will pass his time easily and give him huge pleasure

I talked with a psychologist before and the best way to replace and addiction is with another harmless addiction most of the time. All kinds of addictions have a trouble, but for example if you are a gambler, the closest would be doing card tricks, doesn't need to be related to gambling and you could just pick up reading which is awesome and you would read hours per day instead of gambling, but since most gamblers love cards, you could do card tricks and that way you would be still doing something that is also in the gambling world, and you would be losing no money. You could play games, watch shows, do whatever, just replace that hour with something else that is fun.
Yes, I know that and the same as I said, namely gambling addicts must find or choose more positive activities such as work or other activities so that they can slowly forget about gambling.
But in order to be successful, a gambling addict must have prior intentions within himself and be encouraged or supported by family and relatives to be more confident and determined when he wants to stop gambling and become a normal person who is not addicted to gambling.
But when someone experiences a gambling addiction, most don't realize they are starting to become a gambling addict. They forget that a gambling addict is someone who really likes to spend his time gambling and is engrossed in many gambling games. And most of them don't think about wanting to try other activities that can make them reduce their time playing gambling. For this reason, maybe a gambling addict must have someone or several people around him who can judge that he has become an addict. Otherwise, he would become a heavy gambling addict with no chance of recovery if he didn't have the strong will to stop.

And here we have people who have high level vip, which means they are gambling insanely high amounts and they have absolutely no clue how much they gambled so they ask the host to give them the number instead.

It's not what you imagine, here we can see all wager statistics daily/weekly/monthly with just one click without the need for anyone's help
it's really easy and simple Stake.com has provided this feature to facilitate its users and no need to wait for the support team to share it
It's just that some people do not care about how much he gambled they will only compare deposits and withdrawals yes that's all they want.

I also noticed that feature in Stake, which can be useful for those who want to keep a register of their profit/loss ratio.
I have not used it yet, personally.

If I had to guess, those who make use of such feature must be people who are not rich enough to disregard their possible losses but are not small-pocketed enough to consider their losses as neglect-able and easy to forget.

In my opinion, keeping track of ones win/loss story can encourage to chase losses.

For some reason my email provider does not get the statistics email when I request them.
I asked support about it and they say "check spam folder" and so on but obviously I did that already. Really wonder what the problem is.
Also when I asked they said they can't send it to me in the chat, I have to request it.
Thought about just changing my email to maybe receive it there but that's an even bigger task at stake. If you want to change your email they require so much information, it's crazy. They want to see the wallet of transactions way from the past, sometimes that's impossible if a person deleted that wallet for example.

That is weird, to be honest. I have never had any trouble when dealing with emails coming from Stake. Perhaps your e-mail service detects somethings they consider to be unusual on your receiving those mails and delete them automatically.

Instead dealing with a email change on Stake, it would be worth a shot to try to contact your provider and see if you can whitelist Stake emails, so you will receive them without inconvenience.

Also, It is understandable to some extend Stake takes security so seriously, by the way. Hackers and bad actors are rampant these days.  Sad

High VIP ranks can ask from VIP Host for specific wager periods or overall account statistics. Usually, support sends statistics in form of crypto but the Vip host can send the overall turnover amount in USD.
Does the VIP host really send overall statistics in USD value? We can check our daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly statistics in USD value by requesting it from our account statistics page. I have never asked for such information from my VIP host, actually I'm not aware of this. I only focus on my overall crypto win/lose stats by requesting it from the support.

Without having to wait for bankruptcy and having no money at all, a person can actually stop gambling, but not stop completely, but slowly.
Everything depends on intention and effort, when a gambler who is already addicted and has a strong will to stop then he slowly reduces his gambling activities and prefers to look for other, more positive activities such as work so he can forget about gambling little by little.
Nothing is impossible if there is a strong intention and determination accompanied by an effort.

Harmless addiction really? Are we sure that he is a real psychologist? Or maybe what he mean to say is hobby because you are right, that there is no such thing as harmless addiction. If you are once a gambler, it does not always mean that you will pick up a hobby which was related to gambling. Doing so will only trigger your brain to play gambling again.

Reading is much better than doing a card trick but you should also limit your self and don't just read for hours and hours because you are still considered as an addict that way. I wouldn't recommend playing games and watching some shows because I think they are close to gambling. They are highly addictive.

I view addiction as a sickness or a disease. If it is a disease or sickness, it can be healed. It can be cured. It may be hard, but if you put enough effort into it, you are serious and there is enough support from the people that surrounds you, it can be done. There is no easy fix but it is doable. There are some addictions that I personally have eventually dropped. It is not gambling addiction, but it is equally hard to drop.

No, that is a easy cop out for some people that has this problem. Most addictions have some link to the hormones in our brain...and gambling is one of those. The brain will secrete certain "feel good" hormones when we do certain things, like using drugs or the adrenaline rush that we get from gambling.

So people will get addicted to that adrenaline rush, which is a substitute for other things that they do not get from life. You will often hear about someone being addicted to one thing and when they stop with that thing, it is normally replaced with something else. (Eg. Smoking and food)

It's hard to stop gambling when we are already in it, unless we are broke and have no money at all. But that also can't stop them, because some people I know also do everything they can to satisfy their ambitions, that's the real problem. And also they play with real money for their daily needs and can't afford to lose, it becomes an additional problem.
I think they are old enough to think about this. It really comes back to them, because it comes from within them too.
Without having to wait for bankruptcy and having no money at all, a person can actually stop gambling, but not stop completely, but slowly.

It's true they can stop with a strong intention and that will encourage them to stop being gamblers. But the problem is that those who are addicted don't think about it that way. This is my personal experience when dealing with people who have gambling addiction. I tried to advise him so he could control himself and as much as possible to slowly reduce his gambling activities. But the answer I got was one that wasn't pleasant, he answered in a high tone. he says what right do I have to advise him, because he gambles with his own money without harming anyone.
I have the notion that those who are addicted to gambling don't have clear thinking, therefore I say they will stop when they are really broke.
If a gambling addict isstubborn as you can tell from your personal experience then it really seems like only bankruptcy can make them stop gambling.

If someone has a real gambling addiction and that is very hard to admit also, than the only solution is to put yourself on the black list and exclude you for all casinos (also the crypto casinos but that is more difficult to do). Some persons are more prone to others and specialized help can do wonders than.
