I see another big whale wagering on Stake, but just cause he wagered so much doesn’t mean that he can empty Stakes wallet single handedly. Furthermore Stakes finances are sound and I doubt they can ever go bankrupt, hence all the fears about them going bankrupt are naive as that won’t ever happen.
No casino is beyond the reach of a wealthy person to crash them out. I mean obviously it would be very very hard to do something like that, but at the same time it is not impossible to happen neither. Aren't there any people who have billions of dollars? Yes there are, could they technically speaking gamble with max amounts? Or even go illegal and do multiple accounts on different places not to get caught (which they can afford since they have billions) and max bet on all of them? Hell they can hire 100 people or 10k people all around the world and max bet them all. Then all they have to do is hope that their bet wins, and that is how you can bankrupt a casino.

I am not saying that any sane person would do it, that is like just one super wealthy person hating stake for some reason to do that, and I doubt that would ever happen, I just meant "technically" it is not impossible for it to happen.

Technically nothing is impossible however in Stake usually play a lot of whales and I think they have the finances ready even if some whales hit some jackpots consecutively. The offer their bonuses as you go meaning the more you play the more you get and most likely this stake that has bet a lot on the site is now at the maximum VIP level of player in Stake which gives you really some "out of this world" benefits. This for me is enough if I were at his place. In fact I play little money daily as their moto is no bet of yours go unnoticed and I really like that.

Today aabb123123 guy won over 7 tickets so far but Eddie has done an awesome job with separating our tickets vs tickets won by Aabb123 user. Non aabb123 tickets have been won by 10 lucky Stakers, it is far at this point for both sides since no one can restrict his winnings due to wagering more than anyone else.

Guy wagered 1 billion in 22 hours, guess he will have enough with more than 1 million in weekly bonus.
Ofc big weekly expected for such wager.

My question is this.... What happens when a Highroller like that wins say 1 Billion Dollars and they want to cash out? A site like Stake or any other average size casino, does not have a Bankroll like that to payout 1 Billion Dollars.... and even if they do, it will bankrupt them.  Roll Eyes

The possible consequences for the rest of us, will be a drastic increase in the RTP to recover that size payouts and we will suffer major losses if they do that.  Roll Eyes

Paying almost $100 000 extra to him/her alone for the Weekly Giveaway must also hurt Stake's operating budget, if you take all the other expenses they have to pay.  Shocked
Count his losses too, since his average bet size is around $150k single loss streak will cover his weekly. And house edge will make him lose in the long run. I doubt his bets will make bankrupt casino.
Not really, if you watch the series of bets made by him. It is quite obvious that the spending gets compromised with the wins and not big win is taken back. Its very rare to see gambling platforms go bankrupt through such incidents and that too with Stake it won't happen. His bet size is quite big, but his winning will not be that big in my view. For now he'll be making good money out of the bonuses.

Don't know, But I think Ciryl Gane is in favor in UFC-270,
already placed a huge bet, waiting for 23 January, feeling so much excited.  Roll Eyes
Yeah he was a long time favourite, but not by much initially. I think the highest odds I saw for him on Stake was 1.91, which is why I mentioned I'd been waiting for it to go all the way up to 2/1 for an even doubler.

Unfortunately, I guess heavy betting on him kept reducing the odds, hence the value, so I literally swung to Ngannou just for the odds.

Too bad we didn't get the triple win as this was a unanimous decision. You guys at Stake must still be happy!
I feel like in fighting the odds should never be way too favoring of one person. I mean these people are not fighting others like you and me, they are fighting other fighters. And as a person who has never fought in his entire life ever, I could only assume that sometimes one big punch that lands just correctly could end it for anyone. Yes obviously if it was that easy then we would have no people like mayweather, ali, tyson (no idea who I could have named from UFC since all usually end up getting beaten eventually) who are famous for being great. However, even they would agree that just one punch and it could be over.

I would say ALL fighters should get at least 2.00 odds, because that is what it deserves, even people who dominate for a while end up getting dominated eventually. I am not a very well versed person in this sport, but even I can see it.

I am happy that Ngannou won but a pity indeed that it was via unanimous decision, would have loved to receive a late Christmas gift in the form of triple winnings  Grin.
I also hope that the contract dispute between Ngannou and the UFC gets solved as it would love to see more UFC matches with Ngannou!

Stake isn't new to crypto gambling industry. I believe Stake team has gained huge amount of profit from their old casino Primedice. They didn't even shutdown their business after giving 2037 Bitcoin to a user who made it by using some tricks in 2014. And it was worth $1 million during then. Stake is one of the most popular crypto betting site now. Players are wagering millions of dollars everyday. Perhaps, Stake is generating pretty good amount of profit every day for the house edge of the games. Maybe they have few hundred million dollars bankroll now. Do you think a player will be able to make such amount of profit by playing against the house edge?

Paying almost $100 000 extra to him/her alone for the Weekly Giveaway must also hurt Stake's operating budget, if you take all the other expenses they have to pay.  Shocked
Seems like ‘aabb123123’ has lost big amount in recent days. Otherwise Eddie wouldn't giveaway extra $90k to him during the lottery draw Cheesy

AFAIK almost all casino has their own maximum winning limit as well as withdrawal limit. I doubt there is a casino that able to have max winning as huge as 1 billion dollars unless the bankroll is at least 100x of that amount. Once a whale is able to win 1 billion dollars (not in a single bet) and want to cash it out, it will be depending on the withdrawal limit so it may take few weeks or months to complete the 1 billion dollars withdrawal. I am not sure about the withdrawal limit in Stake, but I believe the max winning limit is not even half of a billion dollars.

Ngannou was slow and Gane kinda picked him initial stages but thet takedowns in round 3 and round 4 was so much imprtant and that put Francis right into the game. Game kinda had a good tactic initially but there were some poor choices and Francis took those chances really well to come out as a winner. My first UFC bet for this year came out as a winner..

Just a question , with promotion going on that line we will get triple winnings right?

Hey guys, probably spent WAY too much time fussing over this triple stakes game. I was actually waiting for Gane to up to 2/1, when I first started checking odds were 1.91 but I missed that boat as his position as the favourite just got stronger and stronger --  so I've gone done and said enough and put down some money on Ngannou, that triple winning thing a bit hard to ignore!

What happens if I only deposit and gamble and have like a very high VIP level account and then one day I get super lucky and win something big and I want to withdraw that and I am asked KYC. That would indicate I would end up leaving a high VIP level account if I do not want to continue, still not cool.
This is a big con associated with many crypto gambling sites these days and I don't expect it to ever get resolved. Gamblers who hate KYC and win big end up providing their KYC documents in order to retrieve their winnings.

Only an idiot would choose to forfeit their winnings in order to avoid providing their KYC information.

There are some crypto gambling sites out there that keep their No-KYC related promises and only ask for KYC when they spot something very shady or suspicious.

Requirement of KYC for gambling is still bad, but not as bad as requiring it for withdrawals of course because that is just horrible. Stake (and primedice when it first started) never really had any issues with KYC requirements, nobody really blamed them with anything.

You get to gamble without KYC as much as you want, you could also withdraw without doing KYC as well and then maybe even continue gambling without KYC as well. So all in all you could spend years here without KYC, then one day if anything suspicious happens you end up with KYC option, either you do it and keep gambling or you don't and just stop, but you lose nothing in either cases.
I both agree and disagree. I believe that KYC for withdrawal is definitely bad, there is no question about that, however I do not think that KYC for continue to gamble is not really fair neither. This is why if there will ever be a KYC situation then it should be either way before you start gambling, like when you sign up, so that you would not face that ever again, or it should never exist and should never be asked at all.

When you let people do what they want, and then suddenly ask for it, then you may let them get their money but then they have left you an account if they do not want to KYC. What happens if I only deposit and gamble and have like a very high VIP level account and then one day I get super lucky and win something big and I want to withdraw that and I am asked KYC. That would indicate I would end up leaving a high VIP level account if I do not want to continue, still not cool.
