Is steem mineable now and how?Smiley

In theory except that he current version (which changed algorithm to Equihash) had a bug and the "mining" is really an exercise in using an exploit (though people are competing on it, to a point, so arguably it could still be called mining). It's only 4% of the block rewards, which aren't very high anyway, so not a huge deal.

More normal mining should come back with the next update.

Any news on an official (or unofficial but reputable) Windows miner?

I like this website and the currency but I am not yet sure the reward algorithm of steem. Some times, I got $17 for a post with 50 likes and 5 comments and sometimes, I get 5 cent with the similar amount of likes and comments.

I am really not sure on what basis the software is determining the reward? Is ther any way to increase the reward. I will be grateful if anyone can help me with this. Please PM me.

You just need 2-3 good whale friends to vote your post, thats it.

The content and quality of your post doesnt matter at all. It's just the votes from your big fat whale friends.

You are wrong.

You need quality and you need followers, if you have neither of those or only one, you will not achieve anything, I'm sorry.

Patience helps too. If you just posted your first great post and you expect that out of a sudden the whole world will find it and upvote it... you are wrong!

Thanks a lot. Finally some useful information in this thread...

What is the current inflation rate (supply growth) for Steem? I guess it has changed after the fork..?

Roughly 9.5% per year. It declines to about 1% over 20 years.

Thanks a lot! Its actually pretty good at 9.5%, much less frightening than it was before the last fork...

Nothing in common with the sites you mention aside from publishing. Completely different model, different backing, different players, different money, different legal status and more. Craigslist forums are a closer comparison to steem then reddit.

Reddit has billionaires and global players behind it. Steem has a controversial family who's name I can't quite remember. I think they were involved with some other bit-crap-share-coin that went nowhere but in their own pockets.

STEEM is currently stable at around 0.00023 and I'm sure it isn't gonna be moving any time soon..
Anyone here mining STEEM POWER?

Your prediction didn't last very long for someone who is "sure" about something. steem sits at 00017 a week later and declining.

Steem also went cell phone based recently so you will see a sharp decline in content. Its been shown over the years that fly by night and pop up companies suffer when they start asking for real world information.
Nobody with a head on their shoulder gives this type of information out to a coin site except for kids and young adults who don't know much about anything, thus the future of steem is headed towards childish publishing, content and commenting. I have yet to find anything positive about this platform besides the run up of the price.

so it'll end up just like reddit, 9gag and all those other mildly successful websites? man those kids know nothing
