Hi everyone, it's been awhile, just wanted to tell you that I still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too!

Some of you may say it's a dumb decision or risky, but I'm all for BTC and positive about it. To the Moon!
It's very impressive and inspiring, actually, that there are people like you who have enough patience and have been through many ups and downs with Bitcoin without selling. That being said, I think it depends on one's financial situation: are you living a very moderate life and hodling BTC or are you enjoying a pretty good level of life financially without your Bitcoin hodlings, so you are not really motivated to sell? If you're not travelling, spending money on hobbies or big purchases like an apartment (if you don't have one), kids' education (if you have them), a car (if you need it), then I don't fully support you. Hodling for the sake of hodling makes one's funds effectively worthless because they only mean something when they make a difference to one's life and can improve it.

You are not tempted by anything including luxury goods at the price of bitcoin being skyrocketed but you are strong enough to hold on until now and in the future, I admit you can't do that.

How can you do this if you never see the market at all?
Or be silent and try to hold it, try to imagine when the price of bitcoin ATH $68k and you have been holding it since 2013 how many hundreds of thousands of percent of your profits at that time were sold.

Are there plans to sell? what year is it?

Thats interesting, a lot of people would succumb to the enticing prospect of owning
luxury items but they all pretty much lose value and you can only sell an amount of
Bitcoin once. I like the idea of HODLing for longer and being more considering to
when and what you buy.
We could able to identify which one does really raises up its value as years go on comparing into those things in the world which do depletes or becomes have no value
as the time flies by.For those who do able to see some potential and this is the result on where you could really be able to have that investment type of mindset
whether you do hold your assets for long term but if you are really on situation where money is somewhat a problem then it cant really be avoided
on having this kind of behavior.

Yes indeed but in this case it seems the OP may not have over extended themselves
by spending what they couldnt afford, although back in 2013 that would have been
difficult to get heavily into debt as the price peaked at around $30!

Am not sure I can be as tough as you to hold btc through these years and through all different ath without being tempted to sell, you are one true holder bro, 2013 till date is a long period of holding and it looks like you will continue, you have made yourself a fortune, congratulations for your determination.
Well, all you have to do is to hold or let it rest like you don't care at all.
Besides, it's best if you can just don't care or keep watching it every now and then if you see a pump because I'm not sure if you can hold that longer if you do it very often.
Be like what OP did, has a very tough decision to let it hold for years, I can't imagine how tempting it was if I was on his side.
Imagine, during $60k he never touched a single penny from his wallet, that's very tough since most human would be greedier to just sell some or dump.

This is an extraordinary decision and I believe no genuine cryptocurrency will see your decision as a dumb one.
I will be happy to have the ability not to sell a bit of my Bitcoin in this downtrend season but to be honest, if we want to see Bitcoin as a currency we also need to make use of it as a currency not just as an asset.
This is one of a rare story that I've encountered, I mean I believe everyone has the ability to hold bitcoin but knowing that OP is hodling btc for 8 years now I'm speechless on his patience.
We have people that hold their BTC for more than 8years but what I am speechless about is the OP not selling any portion of his BTC portfolio which is totally strange.

For all of the chances that passed which he can sold a bit of bitcoin in the all time high of bitcoin he didn't even dare to sold it.
She probably set a certain year she will hold the BTC before selling it or maybe she's planning to wait till all 21 Million BTC are mine.

I'm wondering, does he didn't come to time that he has been tempted to sold it, imagine he was a self made millionaire if he'd sold it at ATH.
This shows the degree of her discipline.

Now those are the "Diamond Hands" I am looking for. Although I don't hold much BTC I kepp trying to accumulate as much as I can every year.
I also withdraw them when I "need" to but otherwise they stay in my wallet. So far I am happy with the investments I have made in crypto.
But these dips are really tempting. I wish I had more fiat to buy these wonderful and lustful dips but unfortunately I am out of cash and I don't plan to get a loan to buy bitcoin.

Rather than keeping it idle for such a long term, Op could've done something to increase the holding. From the statement of Op he has never sold bitcoin which is really appreciable. Everyone isn't able to do it, because of the difference of understanding about the market as well as the difference in financial status..

Myself too very confident about the bitcoin growth though I believed it without any big understanding at the beginning. Due to the financial need I wasn't able to keep hold for long term. As said, if OP can do others can also do which is true. Maybe users who have good sum of money after meeting all needs can keep buying bitcoin forthe long term profiting.

Thats crazy and thoughtful however, you could have sold them at ATH and they rebuy more bitcoins when we are surfing through the bearish movements right now. Courage and all is fine but have you ever thought of multiplying your own bitcoins with above strategy? Since you are already in enormous profits, you have nothign to loose.

I am not telling you to sell them because you have held them since decade+ but I am telling you to be proactive with your bitcoin which are literally valued a lot and you can simply keep on adding more bitcoins with this investment.

Your signature says 1 BTC = 1BTC, but what would you do when you are out of 1 BTC? You need more, sell, re-invest and keep growing.  Smiley

Only a few people dare to make decisions like you do now, holding bitcoin for a long time is not an easy thing for some people to do, because sometimes we will be a little shaky and panic when we see bitcoin experiencing a significant decline in the market, so also when the price of bitcoin rises, of course people will prefer to sell and take profits even if only with a small percentage, if it is converted to the current bitcoin price with the price of 2013, I believe if you have earned a large enough profit, and it seems the risk of loss if experiencing a decline in prices in today's market of course no longer applies to the bitcoins you have, because you might buy bitcoins for only $600-$1000 at that time.

The only thing I can't help but imagine right now is how much profit you would have made, the difference from when you bought to BTC's current price is very clear. And then I ask, when do you have plans of selling them up or are you storing them for a purpose???

Anyways, that you can do it doesn't mean everyother person would be able to afford it to. They're many persons with different problems that doesn't permit them hold funs, but it's fine, I believe with determination every one can store value.

Very cool and amazing and I can't imagine how you can do it from 2013 to 2022 you still keep your holdings and at that time if I'm not mistaken bitcoin price was still around $1,150 at the end of 2013, if multiplied by ATH yesterday it was around $65,000.
I can't imagine how much profit you can get if you do it yesterday, although I don't know how much you hold but at that time the price of bitcoin was still very easy to get in large quantities, because the price was still cheap.
and if you plan to continue holding it I think it's a very good choice because even though the downside is always there, the bitcoin price will continue to rise from the previous ATH, and I wonder what kind of strength and patience you have if it continues.

What you have done is definitely good. There are many more like you for whom the unfulfilled future will be bright. But it's very easy, if you can't afford it. Most people can't because they sell for half the trouble.

To whom you gave it? That person can be the happiest person living on earth if he still holds that btc you gave until now and if ever he solds it I think he will still gave you something so cheer up man. You may loose your btc but what important is that you helped someone. That is a rare trait and not all people can do that.

If I had to bet, I'd say his BTC went to Brian Armstrong or maybe Changpeng Zhao - are some things clearer to you now? Wink Maybe he mispronounced, but I'm sure he meant that he sold his BTC probably because he thought that was the max price he would achieve. I agree that his move made someone happy (billionaires who have become even richer), and I also agree that not everyone can do it - selling BTC just months after halving and missing ATH last year is not a smart move.
