Trading is not that cheap as you might think because when people said they are trader it gives the impression that one can easily learn trading within some limited space of time but as we know is not that easy, although I am not yet dip myself into trading but from the knowledge gaining through here I can be able to tell someone that trading is not that cheap and common as lot of people might seen it. If you develop yourself to be a trader then you must learn to be patient to learn even though you can use demo to trade then it will help you to build your skills and give you little guide on how you can succeed in trading.

I don't really encourage many people to go youtube to learn trading because there are lots of people who are there but doesn't know what they are doing rather they want to build their youtube channel for them to be paid while people keeps viewing their videos even if you must watch youtube videos it should be some known traders on youtube.

The benefits of investing in paid trading education may surpass what's available online. Rapid learning is essential to capitalize on bullish markets. Paid mentors can unveil many trading secrets inaccessible online. Numerous undisclosed strategies exist in trading, concealed by online deceivers who may also serve as paid influencers in certain projects.
You are right in there. If you happened to have a trading mentor that will surpass all your expectations and will open you to the realities in trading, hence you are learning more than what you paid for, or more than you can find online from those free resources. Although we might have a lot of gurus found in social media that have always been self-proclaimed traders but we don’t be needing them as much as possible, that’s why we have to DYOR first so we can come up with the real experts in trading, and it would look more legit if it’s recommended by a common acquaintance.

However, you hold the final decision. Whether you learn trading free or paid, that’s not a big deal really, because what will exactly matter is how you become after that learning process.
arguably trading mentor only effective if you know him really close, i've tried finding trading mentor back in the past and they are all about courses nothing more its always having connection to pro trader that actually did the job.
at this point I prefer to find my way into profit with investment instead of trading since I guess it requires hardwork and aptitude added with always need to keep up to date with the information.

i find it myself that demo account with learning principle and basics of investment and trading to be the most effective if someone doesn't have that connection to the pro trader so that they can be your mentor.
finding out using fake money how trading and investing works.

but there are some people that just plain fails when they are trying to learn by themselves and need some kind of course like visualization by other people to be able to learn something.
thats where the so self-proclaimed trading gurus trying to sell their course even though its all just speculation at the end of the day.

I didn't come across this topic on time hence my lateness to replying this very interesting topic. I'm going to skip right through whatever any other person has said and just add my opinion because I have often advised people about this sort of situation before.

Paying money for knowledge is never a waste because by the time you spend and commit money to learning something, there is a psychological benefits that you have knowing that you have invested in it hence you must want to see the profit from your investment. Also, if some people do not pay for knowledge, they will never value it.
I can't entirely agree with you on this. When it comes to knowing something all excuses should be avoided. Whether a person pays for learning trading or not, if he is not committed to the learning he won't be progressive. Self-motivation is enough, it will trigger determination and consistency.

I think there are other ways to teach people how to trade rather than selling 10 minutes of introductory knowledge for 100 bucks. If he makes so much from trading by using the method they are teaching in the video they won't want to extort money from people who need the knowledge. What am saying in essence is that anyone can come up with a crash course online and sell it online to make money..

Maybe it depends on the seminar session you will attend. If the speaker is really a well-known or reputable trader, I think the price is worth it, and what will be taught is okay. But the others are just pretenders; they just wear formal business attire, and when the session comes, the teaching is not worth what they paid for.

but most of the seminars about the trading session were actually turned into business. only had a little knowledge of trading made for work. As a matter of fact, there are even more good people here in the forum who are good at explaining trading or blockchain technology, not because I am here in this forum.

Also, anyone who tells you that you can become a profitable trader in just two months is a liar. Trading takes time to be acquainted with. It takes 3-4 years before a trader can be seen as a consistent and professional trader.
I’m absolutely agree with what OP said.  There is no quick way to learn trading.  There is only the effort to continue learning and becoming an expert in one's own style.  Many are looking for a quick way but always encounter dead ends.  Trading is a skill that must always be honed so that it becomes sensitive and controlled.  In my opinion, taking a course is not wrong, but don't expect too much on that.  Because the course only has a very short time so it is not enough to study.  Looking for a mentor is much better because we can continue to communicate to ask for opinions and suggestion.  But self-study is the best.  This will truly form a trading style that is purely based on personal instinct.

But this time it is foolish to expect anything for free you have to train with money then you can do better.
That is the n stage of all processes, it would be foolish if you skipped some of the learning processes that you should have gone through first. Anyway, the essence of this topic, instead of wasting money on paid course, it is better to use it for initial caps of the real trading.
I do agree that spending your money on initial trading moves would make more sense. I mean there are free resources that you can use, and you may learn from them and after you learned enough then you can use the same capital for trading and if you do well then that means you learned, and if you do badly then you can go back and learn some more. That way, you are still spending the same amount of money but at least this one gives you a chance to make a profit, I believe that's quite an important difference.

It is quite important to make money when you know what you are doing, and for you to know what you are doing you should be learning as much as you can, for months if you have to, do not start before you are certain you know it all.
But even though this thing is basic, still a lot of people don't do it. They want quick results, quick money. They then buy a course and watch all of it in a short time (and I'm sure they don't understand over 30% of it) and join the market. But on the other side, when they lose money, they suddenly understand it all. All the things from the internet, all the things in the course they bought. Sometimes they need to see it in real life so they can understand it.

Would really be more worth and would really be more sensible on doing so rather than on paying something which you could really actually get it for free. There are really just that people who are really that rushing or liking to learn up things on the most fastest way without even trying out to think up well that it would be worth if they do rather make it use of their initial capital on doing trades. You could really be able to learn up along the way with those amounts which is more worth than on paying up those so called experts on which they arent really that experts. If they are really that indeed making money then they wouldnt really be that making themselves
trying to create some group and asking for sub fees. It is really just that contradictory.

Bettter that you would really be that learning on your own on which this is something that could make you sustain for long term and this is much more better rather than
on relying yourself into others. It would really be just that slowing you down. Trust me.

          -   Until now, there are still such training courses that are paid for, but I learned to trade on my own if I worked hard, and if I read any studies about trading, I see other sections in the platform that teach a tutorial about crypto trading.

And the others that I even read here are even more credible to understand based on what I have observed and actually noticed. So those who pay are just wasting their money; it's even better to do your own research.
While paying for learning is not ideal, but if you are given an opportunity to be train by a reputable trader that also comes with a good price, then why not? After all, what you paid for now will be worthy for all the techniques and strategies you will learn from him. Not all trading methods are listed in books or any trading resources, as they’ve said there’s always unspoken ones that only experienced traders are well aware of. So grab that chance even if it means paying for a good amount, you will still be able to gain back all those money once you have become a well experienced trader as well just like your mentor.

While I agree with these points you have raised, it's also worth mentioning that it's way easier to learn something if you have a mentor that guides you or have someone else to learn with. This does not necessarily mean you have to pay, as there are some free mentorships online that you can find nowadays.

If you're learning something in this day and age, it's best to record your progress or share it to the world. Also, the best thing to learn is to do it, and you don't even have to spend real money in learning how to trade. Lots of platforms offer free trading tools that you can play with and learn at the same time.

Discipline is the hardest thing to keep when trying to learn new things. Many newbies end up paying for someone to teach them because it keeps them responsible or somewhat disciplined to follow a learning plan. It's okay if you have the money, but it's always better to learn without having to pay any $ at all.
Nowadays, it’s never that hard to learn everything since you can find free resources all over the internet. You just have to do your due diligence to learn so you can maximize your learning. However, it’s still easier if you have someone to guide you to help you in the process in learning all those trading strategies and learning how to make good analysis in the market through reading some charts and patterns. If you know someone that is a good trader, I guess even if you come to pay its price, that won’t never be an issue as long as you know what you paid for is definitely worth the knowledge you have gained.

However, while learning these days may have its own price, but if you can learn without paying, well that could be a lot better. After all, learning don’t need to be rush, most particularly in trading as it may take couple of years before you can say you’re now a good trader.

I will say what you wrote over there is not accurate. I wouldn't say you are wrong, you could be writing from your own experience but don't generalized what you know with what is out there because human are different, we learn different in different ways in different time. There are people thay can learn trading in few months and they will get basic things, it's their experience over time that will be teaching them the rest of trading, time teach us a lot and that's what trading is about especially this crypto trading.

Let me work you through this step I am using to be a professional trader

1. Learning on YouTube and other PDF resources online
2. Attending conferences and watching trading podcast
3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade
4. Practice always and maintain consistency

In addition to the ones you have mentioned, if you want to go far in trading I think you can't have everything for free, a trader should be ready to invest on himself. You can't have a complete trading videos on a YouTube platform or PDF materials, if you do some be complex to digest but if you try UDEMY videos, the tutors are friendly and the videos are the best. You can use torrents to get some on some web but I guess they are illegal to do so in some jurisdictions but the videos are helpful.

Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself
I will just share a story that's not related to trading, but it's related to paying certain course just to learn from it.

I saw a Facebook post hours ago regarding a certain influencer who's offering a course regarding "Mastering the art of getting AIRDROPS". In that course, he will teach newbies how to spot airdrops and how to maximize the free money that we can get there. If you're a newbie, you will feel that it's worth it because he will be teaching you how to get free money through airdrops, but if you've been doing it for a long time, you will see that this course that he's offering is just useless and you know what's worse? He's charging ~$50 for that course which is insane!!!.

That isn't related to trading, but the point is that, not all paid courses have value. In fact, those videos that we are watching for free and the books that we are reading online are way valuable than these paid courses. I don't want to be one-sided though because even though I don't pay on these courses in order to learn, I still believe that you can still get value by paying a small amount to them. I mean there might be some lessons that you can only get when you pay other experts.

At the end of the day, information that can help you be a good trader can be found online, and it's free. Like OP said, consistency is the key, and maybe add as well the fact that experience will make you a better one. You need capital as well. Cheesy

Stop telling people to stop paying money because you don't want to pay money. Not everyone can learn things on their own, some people aren't smart to pick up things very fast therefore they need others to teach them. You're also discouraging people from patronising others business as some individual uses the trading classes that they're offering to feed as that's their own business. If you're not learning trading physically from the wrong person, continue so you can become perfect at it. Self learning is also good so you can combine the two ways of learning and increase the speed that you'll understand how to trade and make profits. After you're done learning form your teacher, you should practice on your own and also add to the lesson that he has taught you. There's nothing wrong with learning from someone through classes or courses.

The biggest problem that a beginner may face is that it is very difficult to find a really good teacher who can teach how to trade with profit. I have seen many times how inexperienced coaches are trying to find themselves a pupil in order to get a profit for giving them their knowledge, which they actually do not have.

Of course doing crypto trading is not as easy as we say and talk about, some of the points below, I agree.

1. Learning on YouTube and other PDF resources online
2. Attending conferences and watching trading podcast
3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade
4. Practice always and maintain consistency

The points above show how important it is for someone to dive into the crypto market and trade, point number 3 is very important, we need guidance to achieve good results in trading, For this reason, don't ever try to be braver if you don't have an expert in trading and it's important to learn from mentors, not just guidelines on YouTube.

This suggestion is good but not always applicable for everyone because some people doesn’t have time to attend seminars, doesn’t know what PDD and Youtube guide to watch and doesn’t have mentor to find that will help him for free.

The benefits of paid courses was it’s tailored to skip the long premise on trading and focus on lecture that is already tested working by them. You are paying because the lecturer already spent a lot of money and experience just to develop the strategy which you can only get through experience. I’m not encouraging online courses but it’s not bad either to avail one as long as the content is insightful.

Learning how to trade is an ongoing process and you won't get essentials of trading by taking one or two paid courses. Moreover we haven't seen any paid or free course by successful traders like Warren Buffet. They prefer to keep there knowledge to themselves. There are not many around who got success by following paid contents but the content creators have earned a lot of revenue by selling there courses. I would prefer to invest that money in trading to learn by myself rather giving it to someone else for his course.
