Get ready to burn some money if you are on your way to becoming a professional trader. While looking for a mentor is like a shortcut because they'd tell you how they got in and out from the worst trades that they have ever been for you to avoid it. That's why you're paying them, for their experiences and that's very valuable on this market because with its high volatility, they can give you some idea on what you must do if you ever encounter a trade that you're having hard time to get out of it and not to keep on having bad trades and losses.

When weighing the benefits of mentoring or trading classes, it's critical to remember that while certain ideas are easily understood on one's own, receiving professional assistance can greatly improve comprehension. If you think you can learn everything on your own, it could make sense to forgo paying for trade lessons or looking for mentorship. Nonetheless, learning can be accelerated and comprehension can be guaranteed with the availability of clear explanations and direction.

In my opinion, if physical trading classes provided high-quality teaching, I would be prepared to pay for them. Having an experienced person at your side can help you learn more quickly, which could ultimately save you time. Consequently, even while self learning is feasible, having a knowledgeable mentor or instructor can significantly improve one's comprehension and skill level in trading, making the investment worthwhile.

Building my own Dreams!
To be honest, until and unless you pay for something, you then only get serious for it. No one cares about the free materials that is available to us. As it is free, hence people consider it as worthless, and run for the paid ones. So yes we ourselves need to understand, what’s better and what’s not. I completely agree with OP that everything is available in the YouTube and internet for free and a newbie can easily learn from it. But the human laziness plays as an obstruction towards this. Trading can be learned easily, just need proper determination.

I know knowledge is not free anymore. We humans have monetized knowledge that if someone without the knowledge wants to learn he has to pay handsomely for it. Many persons are eager to learn how to trade and bad luck has fallen into the hands of liars and tricksters who take money promising to teach these people online. We don't need to pay anybody to learn how to trade, we can do that for free. After all the only thing they would teach online about trading is the theory aspect and then the section is over. There are various resources on the internet especially YouTube that you can start learning from there until you are familiar with trading.
Yeah, you stated the truth, knowledge is not free anymore, you have to stand well and work in to it before getting the knowledge, and some people's are relaying knowledge in one place, which is knowledge that will come to their side, which is possible. That was before, not now that everything in this life is available, you most work hard before getting it. That is how knowledge is. So trading is not something that a person can just start with a little knowledge. Anyone who really wants to become successful in trading most actually engage himself in enough knowledge so that they can know how to afford the risks that are involved. Although that some people pay enough money because of knowledge, I don't blame them, since without a knowledge whatever you come to do, you will end up losing. That's people's fight for knowledge.

Let me work you through this step I am using to be a professional trader

1. Learning on YouTube and other PDF resources online
2. Attending conferences and watching trading podcast
3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade
4. Practice always and maintain consistency
You did a good job of outlining the proper location for knowledge that has been obtained; they are the keys to knowledge acquisition as well as a beginning to start. Online learning is the most effective technique to acquire knowledge because it provides a person with both theoretical and practical experience in trading. Doing independent study on trading and gaining more experience are also great goals, and if someone is interested in trading can accomplish them, it will help them advance to the professional level.

I can't agree more with you, because I have experienced it. I don't want to be a trader at that time but want to become a content writer. So I learned the skill online, for like reading different study cases, live and recorded videos, and many other sources as well. But in the end, I was in doubt due to failure in getting clients so I thought I should follow a mentor and eventually get confirmation on what I was doing wrong. So I followed a girl, asked her some questions, and when I said I had doubts about my writing can you confirm if I was making any mistakes?

She bluntly said you should follow my teacher and should take her course. Well, I thought now I should spend some money and learn some skills. So, I spent the money and took the 1-month course BTW it was worth joining. I got confirmation, and learned new skills as well. The point is, sometimes buying courses is necessary but in terms of trading they are not, because you eventually know what you are doing wrong in trading but following a mentor is necessary step.

If someone asks you to pay for what you need and you realize that you know nothing about this but that the person who asks for the payment has specialized in doing such things, you are not going to pay. I think you should pay. So what I'm trying to say is that if someone asks you to pay, he will teach you trading. This is not bad, as long as the person is a professional trader. There is nothing wrong if you pay and learn trading. But don't just meet someone randomly, claim to be a trader, and pay him money. Make sure the person you are giving your money to is a real trader. And that fact that you earlier said that knowledge is not free—I don't know why you came back and said it is not good to pay if you want to learn trading.

Also, anyone who tells you that you can become a profitable trader in just two months is a liar. Trading takes time to be acquainted with. It takes 3-4 years before a trader can be seen as a consistent and professional trader.

Seriously, trading is not easy for someone to be seen as a professional trader. It will take some time, but to me, 3–4 years is a long period of time. I think this is too much. As long as someone really wants to learn and become professional, I think even 3 years is enough.

1. Learning on YouTube and other PDF resources online

YouTube videos will not help. In fact, some videos on YouTube are just predictions. Videos that some traders posted and they didn't use the strategy; some traders hide their method of trading and show something different; furthermore, not everybody understands something online. In my opinion, the best way to learn trading is through the practical aspect. Let the person teaching you trading sit with you so that anything you don't understand, you will ask him immediately.

Many people are willing to pay money to learn independently because they believe they don't have the time to follow the proper learning process. Instead, they often pay money to learn how to use copy trading and receive a small hint that can be used to make quick money from trading; if they don't succeed at first, they will eventually start blaming their tutor for causing them to lose money.

4. Practice always and maintain consistency
These steps are the right steps to get good knowledge about anything including trading, if you can follow due process and learn carefully, you can also become tutor after learning and you will undoubtedly become a professional trader that did not depend on any other person to give you analysis or any strategy.

Many persons are eager to learn how to trade and bad luck has fallen into the hands of liars and tricksters who take money promising to teach these people online.
If you want to learn how to trade, and you are asked to pay before they will teach you, then I don’t see anything bad about that, but make sure the person teaching you is a real person, don’t just meet random people which will claim to be professional traders and you will just trust them and give them money. Most people claiming to be a professional traders are liars, but there are still few people that really knows about trading which if you pay them, they are going to teach you.

We don't need to pay anybody to learn how to trade, we can do that for free. After all the only thing they would teach online about trading is the theory aspect and then the section is over.
We are all different and some people find it difficult to learn things online, they assimilate things better whenever they are being taught physically, so if you are like that, then just get someone that can teach you, even if you will have to pay for it, but don’t pay a scammer.

1. Learning on YouTube and other PDF resources online
You might not get everything you need on YouTube, what I believe you can learn on YouTube are just the basics of trading( like how to buy and sell) most of the videos posted on YouTube are just posted because they needed money from YouTube, they just need views, subscribers and like. Most of those videos are not created by professional traders, that’s why  I don’t really recommend people to learn how to trade on YouTube alone.

3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade
4. Practice always and maintain consistency
Yeah I agree with you, get a mentor, but I do prefer getting a mentor physical, you should be able to learn better and have some experience, but if you can only get online, then it’s also not a bad idea, but even after getting a mentor, make sure you always keep on practicing, if you don’t practice, then you are just wasting your time, the more you keep on practicing, they more you keep on learning.

I’m not sure that your third piece of advice in our time will be considered volunteer work, but, that is, I won’t find a single person, especially on the Internet, who is willing to spend time on me for free to teach me what you think is a successful strategy. This is a utopia. The days of free promotions are long gone. Today on YouTube, people create videos only to promote their channel, which means you won’t find any secrets there either.
But I agree that with careful and patient training, you can comprehend the science of trading, but you must have a good nervous system and an analytical mind to draw conclusions from your mistakes and build your strategies.

Trading signals will always in the end cost you money. They are generally profitable in the short term but never in the long term.
That's not true, no. Trading signals are nothing more than a game of chance because, of course, nobody knows the market and future developments. You might as well listen to someone in the casino who predicts that red or black is coming next, he will be wrong in the foreseeable future. So if signals work in the short term, it's only because you were lucky.
However, professional providers of midterm or longterm signals have been around for a very long time, but they don't offer shortterm signals either.

However, professional (!) signals are very suitable for assessing future trend developments. However, these usually have a focus of 5 - 10 years and indicate which sectors and technologies could be profitable in the future.

I always say don't pay money to learn trading, but what I really mean is don't pay money if you think it'll make you more money.

True, you can learn everything on your own, well almost everything, but I actually don't mind paying for entrance into some of those learning channels.

Not talking about dumb signals or follow trades, that's a scam.

Talking about those like on Discord, you go in, watch some guy showing you how to build real charts in real time, as markets move etc. They're so good at teaching you advanced charting in minutes, rather than in hours reading a manual and figuring out what's goes where Smiley

Not saying to throw money away but money spent on education is never a waste IMO.

...gambling responsibly. Do not be addicted.
Some people do not know they can learn it and know it is the reason they look for someone to teach them. While doing that, some will be scammed. I learn trading myself and it is not hard. The hard thing about trading is to be using it to make money and that is what those tutors are not teaching.

Also, anyone who tells you that you can become a profitable trader in just two months is a liar. Trading takes time to be acquainted with. It takes 3-4 years before a trader can be seen as a consistent and professional trader.
This is not wrong. Some people will think they can be a better trader but later realizing that it is easy to learn but difficult it is to make money. It takes years to become a good trader.

I will pick the third point and talk about it. With regards to finding a mentor. I'd say if anyone can pay for it please do. But when it comes to this, you have to find an accomplished executive trading coach who you will pay to learn. I tell you that your time with an accomplished executive trading coach will be worth every penny. In addition to an accomplished executive trading coach, you can add to it, a trading mastermind group which is actually a group of trading peers who meet to give each other trading advice and support. The become like your accountability partners. and making your learning journey to be easier and faster.

Among the list, number 1 is the thing I can relate, to because before when I was introduced to trading, everything was just online, YouTube, social media, and some communities even here in the Bitcointalk forum.
But before any of this, we must first have the dedication to learn because if not, all will be wasted and we will have no focus to learn.

If there is any such course online and if a member wants to learn trading by enrolling in such a course, I have no idea how much trading he can learn by enrolling in such a course.  In many online courses I have seen that even after completing the course many people do not know about the general aspects of trading. Since online trading education is not of much use to us, there is no need to waste money and take such education. A trader can buy two or three books for a very small amount of money to get an idea of these basic topics candlestick introduction or chart observation, and if he reads those books well, he will definitely learn more about trading than he could by taking an online class. So instead of spending unnecessary money and wasting time, you have to try yourself and apply as much effort as you can to get success.

Trading signals will always in the end cost you money. They are generally profitable in the short term but never in the long term.

Right now anyone can make money as long as you buy. But eventually markets will shift and when it starts to become bearish, all those trading signal groups will go broke and shut down.

Just learn the basics on YouTube and the rest is all about experience.

Paying to learn trading is not bad but the most important thing is that trading involves too many risks and makes one unstable because your thoughts will always be on how the market is going and one can lose a huge amount of money while trading.

Learning trading through online trading platform is good but yet you still need someone who has lots of experience in trading to guide you on how the market works and how to use signals efficiently.

I'm totally fine with paying money for trying to learn things from an actual professional(generally), but trading is one of those industries where there are just lots of incapable "traders" that sell courses/1-on-1 sessions that it's pretty much impossible to recommend paying for them. And knowing that learning trading itself is really hard, I never recommend trading to anyone at all.

Learning is a first step to do before a person can start trading.

Learning about cryptocurrency market, its volatility, margin of changes in a single day, no limit like in stock market, no circuit break like stock market.
Learning about fund management, where to store it and what is safest.
Learning about CEX and DEX, differences between them, pros and cons.
Learning about different trading types: Spot, Margin, Futures.

Start with Demo trading, with Trading View to observe the market and test their knowledge first.

Start actual trading with small capital.

I tend to agree with this, it takes years before you consider be a good trader, I wouldn't say professional because as I see, there's no professional in trading.  But it depends on your dedication to learn in trading, like any skill, becoming proficient at trading requires time and dedication.  The more time you can commit to studying and practicing trading, the faster you're likely to progress.
