The funds and the Stratis tokens will be more then enough to complete the main framework and further development past 2017. VC funding is also an option for the future.

So the more fundamental question I have is - do the dev(s) have lines of communication open with prospective consumers/customers of this technology?

Having been involved in startups and run my own business - I believe it's important to work alongside your target market. They can often shape the product in its infancy and provide some certainty that you will have paying customers at the end of the development work.

I'd hate to think this product is being built in isolation and will just be unveiled to the world without actually having some beta/trial period. The value of this solution is in it's ability to solve real problems. It can only be successful if it makes sense for consumers to adopt. Plus it always makes good headlines if a product is being tested alongside a bunch of potential customers. It demonstrates credibility and confidence.

afaik 84 million coins for ico & the funding is around 296 coins right now.So it's around 350 sats.
