Thanks for the tickets! Smiley

I have been really busy these days... but the weekend is here and finally some free time. I haven't played poker in a long time, I don't count a few hands here and there, mostly on cash tables.
Anyway, I registered for MM #5 NLH Turbo [20k GTD] tonight. I hope someone else from here will play... see you at the table & good luck!

FYI, the price to enter the big BTC changed over the past years so Im not sure if your tickets still work. Now its 5k chips but last year it was 3500.
...
Maybe you should ask the support.

Thank you for pointing this out. Although tickets are not normally able to be exchanged anyone with a ticket to a tournament that has been removed from the schedule or has had it's buy-in adjusted should email support to exchange the old tickets for new tickets of equal value.

AHOYBRAUSE thanks. I didn't notice this change... I emailed support, I guess they will solve this quickly.

The top 64 players on the March Madness Series Leaderboard will qualify for The Big Dance Freeroll.

What is the payout for the top 10 on the series leaderboard?

What is the payout for the Big Dance Freeroll?

How are points calculated?

Does the 1.5x multiplier count for re-entries as long as your first entry was entered before the tournament start?

Where will we be able to see the leaderboard and how often will it be updated?

Thanks!

These are great questions, thank you.

The Big Dance Freeroll has a prize pool of 32,000 and can be found in the lobby.

The 1.5x leaderboard point multiplier does count for re-entries as long as the first entry is made before the event starts.

The leaderboard will be updated daily and will be posted here and on Twitter at https://twitter.com/swcpoker

I'm sure SwC has also prepared promotional or marketing campaigns as well as several other ways to gain more loyal and new customers.
Regarding budgetary funds in carrying out promotions or marketing, they must already have it and everything has been prepared.
They already have a casino that has been running successfully until now so income in their business or profits can be obtained, moreover, the owner of this casino must also have a lot of money that can be used at any time to carry out a development or other things that can make a casino they are advancing rapidly.
In fact, I do not really agree with using jackpot funds to be used for casino marketing because the existence of a large jackpot fund can also be one of the factors that can attract gamblers to use SwC with the aim of chasing the jackpot.

You are making assumptions on them having loads of money, which could be true or not, whereas I have pointed out one of the option to obtain more marketing funds.
You also make assumptions on owner having lots of money - even if that's the case, the goal of sustainable business is to make money for itself, i.e. marketing pool should be built up from profit from operations.

So what if the jackpot is huge if no one had won it in years. If something seems impossible to achieve, it loses its appeal. They could slash it in half and it'll still be huge. And they could use that money to increase activity, and, in turn making jackpot pool growing at a higher rate.

They have busy and quiet days just as any other sites. But a well-designed promotional/marketing campaign could definitely help drive more people in.

No idea if SwC have any marketing funds lying around to spare, but maybe re-structuring the jackpot requirements to something more achievable could help, together with shifting some funds from the jackpot pool to the marketing fund. Then maybe use it to run a series of guaranteed prize tournaments and start giving away entry tickets i.e. as a reward for social media engagement or simple promo tasks, small contest etc.

Just my 2 cents.

Any plans on how to grow the site?

Totally agree with that.

About the bad beat jackpot. How long hasn't this one been broken now? It must have been over 2 years now. Losing AAAKK as a minimum is almost impossible unless you get a setup like straight flush vs quads, and how often does that happen at NL holdem.

It's still funny that often the most action is only at the jackpot table. The only other games that have action occasionally are 5c Omaha and 5c Omaha h/l.

MARCH MADNESS BITCOIN POKER SERIES

We are glad you are back and hopefully you stay. Please share your upcoming promotions here if you may.

I also participated in your twitter giveaway, maybe I get lucky and get a ticket for event 4.

1 thing to add, would love to see some more OMAHA events in a series like this, there isn't even 1 hi/lo unfortunately if I see correctly.

Thank you for the feedback. There are no 4-card PLO8 events in this sereis, but the game is present in the Omaha Mix event. If there is demand for a PLO8 event we will work to include it in the next series.

...
We apologize for the miscommunication. While we work to obtain a new supply of hats we would like to offer you a few March Madness event tickets instead.

Please confirm the screen name you wish to use.

Username Iv4n, same as here! Apologize accepted and thanks for the tickets! I checked https://swcpoker.club/posts/bitcoin-poker-tournaments/march-madness-over-3-btc-gtd and I must say it looks impressive! I never participated in anything similar. The timing of games will be a tricky part, but I will give my best to organize my time. Tickets for this kind of event look even better than hats anyway! Smiley

PS: I still have two tickets for BIG BTC, but that starts at 1 AM for me... they will expire in December this year, I am not sure how but I will try to use them both! Smiley

FYI, the price to enter the big BTC changed over the past years so Im not sure if your tickets still work. Now its 5k chips but last year it was 3500.

I also had a ticket for the medium btc, then they changed the price and I had to ccontact them to get something similar.

Maybe you should ask the support.

I don't know what the player traffic is currently on average, SWC, but that is the number to look at.

E.G. at Betnomi, I have seen sometimes 100, 300, +1000, that is the value to look at, something specific is not useful, that is, looking at a certain time, it may not be very realisti.

But in any case that does not cover the reality, that there is low traffic, but still these sites manage.

+1
Iv4n congratulations, what a long-lived award that took a long time to arrive, curious.

Nice to read that this story is now turning for the better and you still get your prize. It's not exactly what you were promised, but it's a good compensation. Really amazing!  Smiley

Any plans on how to grow the site?
Maybe it will help if the people from SWC are more active here again. That would definitely get more attention.
Either way, attracting poker players isn't easy. Meanwhile, some casinos that support cryptocurrency also offer poker. They are a strong competitor of SWC.  Smiley

The player base here really needs some growing.
4 active tables and 2 of them are playing for cents. Sometimes it's just so dead at SWC it's beyond crazy.

Any plans on how to grow the site?

I'm looking forward to some "poker competition" on the forum. We definitely need more "poker" related stuff... Smiley

I think after running 4 series they decided to do the next one on a different site that offered some guaranteed prizes: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.55470852

And it looks like this is still ongoing, here's the fresh thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/betnomicom-icarus-poker-series-discussion-thread-5437680

It would be great if the forum tournament returned to SwC - the oldest-running bitcoin poker site. Maybe if they sponsored some prizes it could happen again. Or SwC could run an alternative tournament for bitcointalk. It's not like there can be only one.

I participated in all of them (btctalk poker series). But the first ones at SwC were the best. I doubt we will see all those names together again... sitting at the tables! With the same enthusiasm! It's really hard to describe everything we had in those series. Smiley

That "still ongoing" hasn't started yet. I will probably play it, but it's something different... and it's on Betnomi! It's why I wrote that "I'm looking forward to some "poker competition" on the forum". If SwC starts something that would make things interesting (at least for us poker players).
