Does this mean OFCp won't come back before the refactor? Last word I heard was last Monday.

OFC will return before refactor, most likely in the next week.

Guys, when's the ETA for the code refactor?  It's badly needed imo.  I don't see some tables in the lobby and I constantly get my auto blinds unchecked.  It's tilting.

It also cascades my tables, fixed it by saving current table layout.

code refactor is a large project and is ongoing. after it is done we will have ability to make quick and meaningful changes to the software. doing this difficult task now will improve connectivity, ofc function and gameplay, add lightning network integration and build development layer for features such as in-client last longer betting.

With BTC approaching 10k USD (3x since a couple of months ago), can you guys start bring BBJ tables down to 10/20, 5/10 now?  It's prolly gonna help start some action in those stakes.

And I think having some promos for 1/2, 2/4 to gain a solid player base in the smallest stakes is a must for any successful poker site.  IMHO.

To encourage action at the lower stakes in all game formats I would suggest that SwC implements a site-wide BBJ cash splash : distribute a fraction of the jackpot to all players who have been dealt in a hand at a raked cash table in the last 10 minutes before the jackpot hits (to cover for players who have folded their action and those who are taking a short break).

Do you read your own links? The second one literally has the headline: Modern Poker Doesn’t Have Much Of A Use For Prop Players.

Maybe you should read the rest of the text and try to comprehend why thats the case. At the start of online poker each poker site had its own network and most struggled with low liquidity. Today the market have consolidatet trough acquisitions and merges and we are left with a few seperate poker networks thats serves multiple poker sites.

If SwC shared liquidity with 20 other sites it wouldn't have this issue.

If you want games to run, just seed them, there is no way around it.

There is. The obvious choice is to play elsewhere.

SwC have the potential to be a serious alternative in the market, but it needs liquidity.

And I'd assume that the first link, which doesn't list the sites it offers prop deals for, is either a scam or a shady third party affiliate to the sites.

Prop players have been scrutinized, criticized and frowned upon in online poker since the AP/UB days. I believe SWC has previously stated that they have never, nor will they, used props.

I'll cite Rowniwn's recent tweet because it captures the essence of the topic really well:

100%-120% RB? Jesus.. any more wishes?  Grin

Hehe, I don't want it for myself.  Tongue

I just want to have some tables I can join when I log in to play.  Cheesy

I have never played as a prop, but I know it's been common practise in the industry and probably still is.

Just look at sites like:

^  I think you got it the other way around.  You actually get raked higher in proportion to the pot at lower stakes.  And what's good (if you're the site) is more games could run at lower stakes than at, in SWC's case, 25/50.

2/4 - 5/10 at SWC is almost the equivalent of 5NL - 10NL.  Why not do some promos at those stakes like double the krill or more RB or even happy hour.  Something!

Giving a player a tad more RB and krill as the table starter could be a good idea.

Dude trust me, I'm not against promos (I also think they should advertise atleast somewhat beyond word of mouth which, let's be honest, doesn't work out that great) - but rake to the site is relevant in absolute amounts, not relative. I think the problem is, there are very few people who have little amounts of bitcoin and are willing to gamble for them. There's a gap between people who either have no bitcoin and those who have so much, they're okay with gambling for like 0.1 BTC a month.

And remember.. there are leaderboards coming!!! ... at some point. Maybe. Or not. And maybe we'll even get Chinese back eventually.

SwC should focus on recruting people who already play and enjoy poker, not people who own bitcoin and don't play poker. It is extremly easy for everyone to buy bitcoin and transfer to SwC. No KYC, fast withdrawals, low rake is really good selling points.

But to get people to play there have to be some tables going. Paying some props 100-120% rakeback to start tables would improve the current situation. If I could log on and get to play on 3-4 tables I would play and I'm sure there are others like me.

I wish SWC would at least make a reply on my suggestions.  I mean I'm looking at the lobby right now.  Sef needs to be done to start the action at 1/2, 2/4.  There's just isn't enough.  And knowing the people who own BTC...  Most of them are stingy af.

I mean... higher games, more rake. Stingy people are not exactly those a poker site is trying to attract. I could see them lowering the BBJ to 10/20, but honestly, lower stakes people taking shots at the jackpot is what makes these games so juicy and therefore, run.

Looks like it's going to be another record high prize pool in the Big BTC this month.

The tournament is only a few days away, there are already 20 players who have registered and has fulfilled the requirements to start later. Buy-in 10,000 chip or 0.01BTC for prizes of 1,000,000 chip or 1BTC

Are there any extra benefits registering to play on swcpoker through a affiliate compared to registering through the site directly?

anyone?

Short answer: no. There's no guaranteed benefit. Although referrers can decide to send you a tip as a gesture of appreciation, they're also able to organise special, private tournaments for their referees etc.

What kind of benefits would you like to see? Free chips?
