yeah 20 chips min withdrawal is definitely not suitable at all , even Americascardroom requires less than that and they aren't even a pure bitcoin site
fees are really annoying these days but 20 mbtc min withdraw isn't the solution IMO , just make the people pay for the fees and that should solve the problem

Yes, this is the pretty obvious answer.  If people aren't willing to get 20 chips on the site to cashout, just make them pay the fees.

Biggest problem (again) is rake.

It's Sunday afternoon in the US and there is ONE game running at the lowest stakes.  That may be because a 2/4 limit game with 4 players pays up to $10/hand in rake lol!

From what I've heard, they will be decreasing rake soon, possibly doing away with tablestarter (which is also a good idea, as right now there is no incentive for a 4th player to join a mid stakes or high stakes game), and increasing their presence in the community (heard that before) and getting a new client ready at beginning soon (also heard that before).

Wavrachal, I think you can take the tin foil hat off - they arent keeping your money for the interest lol and anybody can cashout within hours.  Just deposit a little more to get to 20 chips and then cash it right out if it's such a big deal.

BTC is almost 12k and as sweet as a BTC only site was when BTC was $300 and rewards program was better than making SuperNovaElite on Stars, they havent been able to keep up w BTC price movements to properly rake and monitor games.

fiat poker cashout like ACR is $25

speaking of fees - there's a method to combine all daily payments into one batch and pay a nominal fee which levels out extra costs; so that's not an excuse! i think they want money to be kept as long as they can in order to manipulate player funds gaining dividends in investment schemes; think of it - when you have a bulk of money , you can run up a pretty interest rate on it! pretty clear to me that possibly, i believe all the player money is being used for extracurricular activities and paying out often is not in the best interest to glitch/swc! we are being used..

3) Rake - yet again, as much as BTC-only has been great for BTC investors and the site, it has had a discouraging effect on ring games above .50 chip/1 chip fixed limit and below 10 chip/20 chip fixed limit.  Seals rake structure is a victim of BTC price.  1 chip/2 chip fixed limit = 10/20 usd and the rake cap HU on seals is $4, 3 handed it's $5, 4+ is a laughable $7. On Stars, ring games at 10/20 USD have a cap of $2.  This needs constant attention and re-evaluation, much like the (free) minimum withdrawal amount.

I agree.  SWC needs to decide if it's a bitcoin site or a USD site.  They can't take away guaranteed rewards and all promotions because "the price of bitcoin had gotten too high" yet keep an industry-high rake structure.

Just to keep people updated:

1. Why were the Overkrills removed?

2. Why is the min cashout $200?

3. How far along is the mobile client that was promised to be released this summer (5 months ago)?

SWC management hasn't posted here in 9 days, they haven't even logged into this site in 8 days, they haven't tweeted in 52 days, and they have deleted their facebook and subreddit and have no presence on 2p2.

OFC (which I'm not familiar with) gets plenty of action.  Whatever they are doing to pick up that market share of rake needs to be injected into their ring cash games and yes, even the HU cash games.

OFC gets action because it's a fun, high-variance game, and there's nowhere else to play it. I don't think they can feasibly get every other site to stop spreading all the other games.

My cashouts - including a sizable one in early November - have always been fast and reliable as well. This is not a prediction of future results - more and more things seem to be falling by the wayside and I'm not sure how long that can continue before getting to core functions.

Some thoughts/possible solutions:

1) Min withdrawals - Reduce minimum withdrawal from 20 chips to 10 chips or make players pay fees below 10 chips, like the fiat sites.  It's unrealistic to ask for much more imo, as it's highly unlikely a small site will pay processing fees w a small player base.  carbon charges 5% on BTC payouts, betcoin charges nothing.  10 chips favors the players as compared to the current situation and shouldn't put them out of business I hope.

2) Freeroll stuff - doesn't really help the site much, draws in players who won't rake much.  Sure, they need to offer some refreshing promos every now and then, which they haven't really done since ending the leaderboard, but freerolls on small sites are big net losers.  There's just no upside to run a bunch of them.  Use promos to incentivize high rake players without completely neglecting the micros.  Swc has to plenty to improve upon, but as in the rest of the business world, the biggest spenders should have the biggest voice.

OFC (which I'm not familiar with) gets plenty of action.  Whatever they are doing to pick up that market share of rake needs to be injected into their ring cash games and yes, even the HU cash games.  The tourneys (which I'm not too familiar with) seem to offer very reasonable rake.  I'm ignorant as to how else tourney offerings could be improved, generally.

They can't change the rake or min payout amount daily based on BTC price, but when players who pay rake are discouraged from playing due to these factors, it is something worth paying attention to.  As far as rake goes, I know they've really tried to keep up, but my sense is that there aren't a lot of successful poker minds (maybe none?) employed by seals to really understand the minutiae of this stuff and how important it is to the ecology of the site.  While Glitch and support were extremely responsive to request for rake changes within 12 hours of the previous stink wrt high rake, this stuff needs to be monitored in a professional fashion.

Management is pretty secretive.  Maybe that's smart, given what happened to a previous owner/spokesperson.  Very few people know who owns the site or what their real plans are for the future.  We don't know if they're experienced poker business professionals (probably not) or just business people w this site as just one small item of a huge portfolio, or a bunch of stoners in a basement in Montana (probably not).  But it does lead one to believe they think this site is a self-driving car, when it really is a 6 spd manual.

Lightside, although what many people have said about the lack of promotions, players, and clients other than PC are correct, it's a safe place to play and they always cash you out within 12 hours.

Yeap this looks like an exist scam unless someone who isn't a shill of this site speak the truth about current cashouts. I love to play poker but currently there'r no legit site around, people in charge always duck it up

For a refresher, here's a list of questions that SWC has remained silent on:

1. Why were the Overkrills removed?

2. Why is the min cashout $220?

3. How far along is the mobile client that was promised to be released this summer (5 months ago)?

Seems like a lot of FUD has been posted in the last couple of days from brand new accounts.

Hmmmm I wonder why that is?

Also, here's a sad stat: SWC management hasn't posted here in 6.5 days, they haven't even logged into this site in 5.5 days, they haven't tweeted in 50 days, and they have deleted their facebook and subreddit and have no presence on 2p2.  The only logical conclusions one can draw is that either this site is their last priority, or decisions have already been made that have not been made public yet.

I guess lowering the rake makes the site more intresting to some players. still they dont even bother fixing something as simple as the min-cashout

A suggestion: in addition to the existing pre-turn checkbox options (Fold, Call, Call Any) I'd like to see Check and Check/Fold boxes. These would appear for the BB preflop and for all players after each street until a bet or raise is made. This would speed up the game a little bit.

I don't know, I think Micon's "by stoners, for stoners" marketing philosophy might have something to do with the lack of dedication we're seeing now.

It's really a shame how much potential this site has passed up by not even having one person who can stay on top of things, or form a coherent, consistent strategy.

To be fair, that one person got his door kicked in by the DOJ and fled the country.

It is a shame that they couldn't find anyone to fill his shoes.  They really did get handed a vault full of money and just burned it to the ground.  If they had just been able to handle their shit and taken a few small diligent steps to market the site, they'd be sitting on literally millions of dollars right now.
