0.92 is bbq code. That's what the 2 people i know were running had the fires.

Wouldn't an open case be better for heat if not also airflow? I think I should open my case and put a big fan running on it

Something like this maybe?

I did notice better performance boost.

However I am going to swap out the stock fans on the case and instead put in higher CFM fans.

been there ." maybe using .93 instead of .90 could help prevent it? however, some are saying that .92 instead of .90 is what they were using when their capacitor(s) burnt "

My recommendation is to upgrade your unit to v0.92 the moment you get it.

Drops the watts at the wall from 860 to 580.

That itself will help save them from the magic smoke.
