ohh calm down guys, we are not loosing money every hour - just some bitcoins.))

btw, I still don't have tracking number, still no single hash on pool - I don't think, that shipping started 30/9 as Sam mentioned in last KNC video. otherwise, PSU hungry waiting and all is already prepared. I guess, that guys, which have order "in progress" now will receive tracking number later today.

How do we configure our miners? Can you plug in a monitor, mouse and keyboard setup to them directly, or are settings accessed via LAN?

Exactly what I was wondering.

KNC said it would be "stand alone".

And what pool would we join to get running?

Oh boy, this'll be fun.  Huh

pretty sure its all done by lan, ssh login to the beaglebone then edit settings form there. should be quite simple really. Use any pool you like!

seems like everyone knows about ssh but me, how do you access a linux machine, using ssh from a windows (XP) machine?

You posted just under your avatar: "retired software engineer" and you don't know how to access a PC ??
Man, people like you shouldn't be allowed to use even a ....

I really doubt they shipped anything yesterday because nobody confirmed receiving tracking info. Also nobody from day 1 with hosting confirmed receiving any info on accessing the hosting portal and nobody confirmed activity on their pools (for testing)

However, I do hope units are assembled at a good pace!

I was following Megabigpower's bitfury units for most of the time they were getting ramped up, and a lot of people's units were shipped before they received any tracking info, as the team was busy shipping. Granted, it's a smaller outfit, but not by that much. I could see much the same happening here. They get it all out the door and THEN update.

Breathe, people. I think it fairly obvious now that they aren't going to screw you. They are only a couple of days behind the bitbet, which ain't bad. They did say they hoped to ship before the end of september, but the only "writ in stone' date they've published, that I am aware of, was Oct 15th.

BTW, even though I've been something of a cheerleader here myself, if I'd had coin to gamble I would have bet "no" in the bet. I would have been happy to lose, but I try to gamble realistically, and they did one hell of a job just coming close!

Fair enough on shipped rigs, but doesn't explain no hosted rigs hashing does it? Their schedule for those was hours after leaving the production line, which I always thought optimistic, but a day ..should be a few surely?

Wish I could answer that. The closest to an insider I have is being friendly with Bitcoinorama. And he ain't told me anything he hasn't said in public.

I wonder if they are waiting to give the very first  Jupiter's to the life on bitcoin couple weekend?  I think this was alluded to in one of oramas posts earlier.  He did not out right say they are waiting on this but he did mention it.

In addition to financial support, KnCMiner will ship a first-run production unit of the Jupiter mining rig to the couple during their experiment.

"Bitcoin couple weekend"?  Is that a translation error or is this some kind of romantic getaway weekend for guys and their ASICs?  Lol.

Would be a nice surprise if Day 1 orders were shipped yesterday but I'm skeptical this is the case.  No tracking, no email and no activity on the worker I set up on the KNC website for testing.  That said I agree it's likely shipping is coming soon.  Seems plausible that they are tweaking code and either are ironing out some remaining bugs or feel that the extra time to fine tune will be worth the small delay.

Here here!  It's nice to read something from a positive perspective.

And yes, this is a race but I'm glad that they are taking a few days to sort things out because I'd much rather have a stable and optimized device than some flaky piece of crap.

According to what they said today was to be day 2 and day 1 was shipped yesterday.
This silence routine at crucial times is irritating.

Is the price on the website including VAT?

Nope, when you go through the order proces the VAT will be added in the end... every country has its own VAT % i guess..thats why..

 Wink

Hi, no I guess you just need to pay the VAT if you are not a company and inside EU. Otherwise they won't charge taxes, it's your import customs who will charge you (or not).

Unfortunately for me I guess I'll have to pay it.
