I see the thread is becoming a troll festival. While a delay or even a fail is still possible, it is quite possible KnC wan to make us a great, nice surprise. No one spoils the surprise by announcing it earlier.
I think most of this discussion is coming as a result of the guy who posted earlier and said he was told on the phone he had to wait 1-2 weeksTM for his miner.

If he has a day 1 order, that's actually a lot to discuss.

But now that you mention it, he didn't say where his order was in the queue. So I for one won't say anything else about it until we hear more.

KNCMiner is not dead. Currently only the company which provides the first model in 28 nm with at least 100Gh/s, which is stable at this moment. I currently have heard that the Cloudhashing will do the job at 1 October 2013, At 1700 in HKT.

By the way, adding new pages to this thread won't make Jupiters get more GH/s (contrary to some belief).
Also, it won't be a new forum record. Far from it. The LABCOIN thread is now the fastest growing. It has grown about 500 pages (sic!) during last two weeks. It means the 450 TH/s from Labcoin probably won't show this year.

I'm fine, KNC promised me to deliver my miner until end of September and because they never lie and they have funny slogans like "We Under Promise, We Over Deliver" or "margin upon margin upon ....", I'm going to enjoy last day without my asic miner.)

ohh, I almost forgot - where are members of KNC fanclub now?.)) Why they stopped bitching and attacking everybody with different (non super naive) attitude? I miss you guys, back to work!

I wonder which if those slogans they printed on the PCB

Unfortunately this guy might not have been too far wrong  Undecided

Well done KNC & their shill! Be happy together. Print this on your PCB's "Over-shilled and under-delivered".

shipping tommorow but no prototype yet ?

They've decided to adopt "no testing" policy, design is so good it's an insult to test it. Margin upon margin upon margin.

and all boxes will explode at customer houses Smiley

Nah.  Don't be dramatic.
Probably moar like

no,no.no...shills and fanboys, don't listen!! have some more days off, please!

I'd like to focus on what's going wrong, instead of arguing whether anything is going wrong
We had enough irrational manipulative posts pointing out all concerns are invalid and childish so we should stfu, gtfo, get a refund, 'whine whine whine' or else

I have to admit meanwhile I'm quite surprised.
Expected quite a lot, but never ever that KnC screw things up so badly the very last days before UPS picks up boxes.

Some things went wrong and I guess they had been aware they will not make it very likely in time: "yes it's tight, but we are still on track", but decided not to go to public with it. As it would cause refunds and complaints about nov customers paying $2.000 less for a product getting closer and closer.

I was quite confident that delivery takes place in September (27th/30th) considering their marketing phrases and professional background.
In addition I assumed KnC is honest enough to stand up and tell us:
"Dear customers due to unforeseen happenings out of our sphere of influence we are very sorry to announce that shipping will not start this summer but early autumn."

Instead of being silent until it's obvious there are problems, modifying news on .cn website with no mentioning of it, refusing refunds and taking the risk of massive shitstorms as well as legal implications just in hope they might make it somehow to ship in time - if there's a good chance to fail.
This is not professional in any way.

In case there are against all expectations no shipping details or other great news until Tuesday evening, I'm going to bother my lawyer to take a closer look onto it (consumer rights: send back after 7days/enforce refund).

That's too close to real life experiences of BFL victims to be funny.

I'm just being paranoid I know, but I keep imagining Orama and the KnC lads at a beach bar laughing and high fiving each other while having that drink..in Barbados..right on schedule.
This arena is fucking perfect for the trust scam if it's done right isn't it?

I bought a ZTE MF627 from Ebay for less than £5 and unlocked it myself. It works with my ISP router (Technicolor TG582n), which doesn't switch the connection automatically, so will probably get the TP-Link one.
Yesterday I was unlocking a MF627 I bought on ebay! I actually got two plus delivery for less than the price you paid. Used, but they both work fine. They are just backups for a new MF100 I have. That may be overkill but it always good to have spares when they cost so little.

Did you unlock in Windows 7, because I decided not to risk it and did it in Windows XP as written in the guide.
I used XP. It's the longest flashing process  - took over 19 minutes.

Same with me Smiley
Btw where are you located and have you tested it with a SIM card?

I'm in the UK and tried with 2 regular SIM cards from monthly contracts: T-Mobile Full Monty with all Unlimited and Vodafone with Unlimited Min/Text + 2GB Data.

They both work with the TG582n router given to me by my ISP, but the speed is a bit slow, especially the Upload. I managed to get around 1Mbit/s Down and up to 0.10Mbit/s Upload on Speedtest with both SIMs.
Tried directly connected to my computer = same results.
I even used a 5m USB extension cable and put the dongle outside the window - not much of a difference.

There are routers with two or more external (WAN) lines, for instance DrayTek Vigor 2920n, 3200, 3900...
They can balance load on the lines or use the second as a backup.
Search for Dual-WAN or Multi-WAN.

I've actually been imagining a downfall parody.

"Main fuhrer, the chips were last seen leaving the factory, here here and here... "
"Anyone here who is a shill for other asic companies, please leave the room now"
etc  Grin
