Now that I have my B2 KNC Miner what PC power supplies will work best, and should I buy 3 lower wattage ones as supposed to 2 higher wattage PSUs?

You've been waiting this long for the unit, why on earth are you just trying to figure out how to power it now?

Because like you said I have been waiting a long time for it to ship, now that it's shipped and arrived I need to figure out how to power it up without it catching fire. lol

Attacking with a DDoS is silly stuff. Somebody pulled off a BGP redirect attack and directed all the traffic to their pool. That's skillz. KnC isn't worth the trouble.
yes it would be worth the trouble if they hurt your pocket book Smiley

He's right, that's skillz fo sho. I heard he made $80,000 at last count!

damn that is some serious bank for just typing away on a keyboard Sad too bad for the ppl he screwed outta hash

Well the GAWminers (physical) are not shipping yet but they are offering FREE hashing till they do ship (ie temp) or you can change them over to virtual mining
also (perm)..this starts TODAY as soon as you can let them know your choice(s) temp or perm on how you want it all to work.

the equiv of all batch 1 Titans imho available as fast as you can email gawminers of your choice on the above vaultbreaker deal

likely 6 weeks ahead of when i 'physically' get the Titan

here is the link..it seems their 'boast' to bury KNC and Titan may be true!

https://hashtalk.org/t/vaultbeakers-come-early/7605

I myself am on the sig campaign (see my tagline) for GAWminers and have no frigging idea on how they are doing all this ...getting the hash power
buying up zenminer for 8 million and btc.com for 1 million etc they seem to have big big bucks behind them...anyway we will see

and as usual nada/zip/nothing out of KNC on all this (except banned posts on their forum if you mention GAWminers) ....but with their
no refund policy we are stuck

so 6 weeks of watching vaultminers at 750mh hash away..then when I get my knc Titan I can compete against batch 1 other Titan customers too!

ah the joys of mining

gonna go cry in my beer now

You're not the only one wondering how they are doing it.
I just read a bunch of posts by some guy who wants to promote his mine by attacking GAW. If the amount of trolling equals recognition one could say they have succeded in becoming one of the leading hash providers in the world.

I have a feeling that if it is too good to be true then it probably is. GAW can say and make all the statement they want. KNC is a small fish, let's see if they can out do MBP.

Where did KnC ever say they'd only mine 5% of the equipment they sold?  Did they really say this?  I can't see anything which says that/

Why are you selling the Miners and don’t mine yourself (will you use the miners for mining yourself)? ▾
We are mining ourselves, but we believe in the bitcoin project and a diversified market is the best for all parties. We will continue to mine but we do not believe in a monopoly of miners. We will not mine with more than 5% of the hash rate we sell, and we will never mine with customer hardware.

Looks great, how big is the radiator for this thing and what is that bottle for?

Two 80mm thick, triple 140 radiators. (Alphacool)
https://i.imgur.com/itLOTSL.jpg
(not great radiators, too few fins per inch, overpriced also)
I plan to replace with used truck radiator, whatever fits the fan size. Smiley

The bottle is to block air from the middle.
There is much missing in the pic, I don't have open sides.
What is pictured is just as it looked right after I got it and got all PCBs water cooled.
Everything has and will change again soon, major rebuild time approaches.

The PCBs will flip around with all hoses in the center.
I will eliminate as many 90 degree connectors as possible. (a weak point prone to leaks)
New power wires and heat sinks for the VRMs.
I have PCBs for the PSU connectors they did not exist yet when pics were taken.
-> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/price-reduced-dps-2000bb-2000w-server-psu-interface-board-637595
Still deciding on a case for it,
I'm contemplating a wood cabnet with glass doors.
Or copper pipe and glass for a steampunkish look.
The air flow and air filters design is still fluid also.
I'm looking for a large cool lookin squirrel cage fan to incorporate.
(like what you find in small forced air furnace)

One of the fun things is planning the modding pit stops to be fast as possible.

If I'm lucky I'll get it to look complete once and get pics before changing something.
If I am very very lucky what works well can also look cool.

glad you are all seeing the light

shame it took you all a year to catch up

rape just ain't what it used to be

knc today isnt the same as knc one year ago - its worse, i agree

jupiter batch #1 False and #2 were nearly perfect. especially batch#2 made those buyers a ton of bitcoins. rma were quick and without hassle.

their attitude changed in january when they decided not to sell those extra chips they had and go instead for datorhall.

batch 1 was shit - trust me, i still have one they REFUSED to rma!!

batch 2 was nice, hence them stopping selling it/them!! but no-one made TONS off any knc junk!

i still have one with flickering dies!

they were cunts in august 2013, and have remained as such since.

the main difference now is their weak little PR girl is no longer shilling her weak little heart out on an hourly basis.

@ phonie - LEARN TO READ YOU LYING, ILLITERATE MOUTH PIECE!!

It seems to me they are likely exceeding this.  Can you think of a way to show that they are doing more than 5% of what they sold?

Cooling still looks great; not so sure about the PSU setup. Those require external cooling and will just keep pumping out 12v after a possible short which is a major fire risk. They are designed for server rooms with fire suppression; not residential dwellings.

What efficiency are you getting on them now?

how about ditching those pci-e and soldering directly to the pcb?? if that piece cant handle the load just get rid of it imo...
That's actually a great idea imho
