According to the newly released spec of GPU, at least 4000 core per chip, or 80 blocks per chip, and later 14nm FF process will enhance further integration of circuit on single die, add 3D IC concept sum of them, a single GPU could perform better than ASIC sooner or later, so exiting about this.

I don't see how a GPU that has a "general" chip can perform better than ASIC chips who knows how to do only one thing, but much better.

Get used to be waiting form KNC, and not expecting their news update, but I'm waiting the day Nvidia and AMD release super GPUs in the near future, this will reverse miners back to GPUs again. Cheers!
Depends on the price. Who knows how cheap asics will be when these GPU's come out. Graphic cards have a lot additional components that miners can skip and lower the price.

Please tell me, I get my Titan until the end of the Q3 2014?
And if you do not get it, how long do I wait for a refund?

Considering the date of announced titan chip tape out:
"We achieved tape-out of the 2284-core Titan in early June"
they might be ready mid of September.

Titan refund ?
I'd say you will wait forever..
Didn't you notice "This product is nonrefundable." ?

"Need to know"  Basics...
Plugging in the pci cable fully can be tricky, as most of the cubes have the pcb mounted about 1mm too low, and the plug tends to catch on the bottom of the hole in the cube. In order to get them to fully plug in FULLY, you must slightly LIFT UP and push in on the pci plug after it first gets a bite for it to fully slide into the plug socket.
If you miss it, and it fails to fully latch, it may indeed melt; especially if your psu employs 16awg wires.
Seeing a single wire on the pci plug begin the meltdown is a sure sign of a poor connection...
and if you use a dab of conductive grease on each pci connection, it will also help make good contact, and avoid all this.
power delivery is 95% on these imho
Plugging and unplugging the pci plugs too much or not gentile can also quickly loosen the connections.

What a fail engineering for a 10k$ device!

I am using the 16AWG cables that came with the AX1200i; the fault is clearly with the KnC "design" and not the cables.

What makes you think the AX1200i comes with 16AWG cables? I've never seen one with anything other than "type3" 18AWG cables. I've seen quite a few of them as well.

I've also had them melt/smoke/burn spectacularly: http://imgur.com/a/UUpEG

ditto....  the 1200i's we have all have 18awg, while the regular ax1200's we have all have 16awg.  The "i" must stand for "inferior"

I don't "think" they come with 16AWG; they do.

Again with the scrolling up guys...

I will confirm this for those not in possession of a 1200i or who failed to examine them carefully.  Smiley

I have an AX1200i, just stripped one of the cables, and they are 18 AWG.  If I had a microscope w/ a camera, I'd take a picture - the writing is pretty damn small, so my 13 year old son who has 20/20 vision (I wear glasses) confirmed it for me.

I know it's 12 months and have tried to return a cube that has a dead die on it only to be told that it's not covered because the machine as a whole is still slightly over 3TH. I have since had a PCI-e socket melt and KnC have publicly blamed power supplies and cables for this (which is not the case).

Could you post a picture?

Look at the ant S3 for instance; they have four PCI-e sockets per 350w machine to meet the 100w spec per PCI-e 6-way. KnC must have saved <$0.50 per cube by skimping on power sockets which makes no sense on a $10 to $13k machine.

Not a happy customer.

let's have some fun
what? now knc only provides 90 days of warranty?!

Regarding that they completely ignore specifications for the voltage regulators as well as power supply cables, I'd say its generous.
