It's working again now after a reset, but the speed is very slow for now (250 gh/s) I'll see if it get better.
I think you may have tried the wrong firmware (not your fault);

Just upgraded my 3 october Jupiter with this update and none is working.. Redlight is on and I can't access the web interface anymore.
That's not good.
A test upgrade on one unit is always advisable where possible (Not very helpful I know).
Try a hard reset (press reset button 5 times, wait 5 seconds, press reset button 5 times) - might overwrite with factory settings.
Otherwise you may have to flash with SD image (Recovery File) > https://www.kncminer.com/pages/troubleshooting

Thanks for sharing, will not touch it after reading this.

A reset doesn't help ?
If so, the sd card image is your only way to go..

Another bump up in the presumed data center-to 1.5Ph/s (26% of the ENTIRE Eligius pool). It goes by ~200th every day now (half a row?) like a clockwork.
If it continues on this schedule, the "Death Star"=datorhall will reach ~6.1ph (which is lower capacity level for this datacenter according to my calculation) by March 15.

Miners have pushed Radeon prices to ridiculous levels, and there are now scrypt ASICs, so I think it's a very dangerous time to build a scrypt GPU mining farm.

You have to know where to look for the GPUs and how to snake them quick, and for a good price. I've been using amazon, getting 15-20% off MSRP. Also buying from a few other places at close to MSRP. Yeah, the scarcity does blow.

Also, I don't agree that scrypt mining is more profitable than bitcoin mining. 2500 kH scrypt only produces around $15/day, which is about the same as 1 Antminer and uses 3x as much electricity unless you're lucky enough to own scrypt ASICs.

I'm making .15-.25btc/day on 15MH which isn't even my full capacity. The more involved you are with knowing what coin to mine, what to hold, what to dump, and when to do it all, the better. We're in a transition phase right now where with the right choices, scrypt mining is more profitable than sha256 mining, for the same investment cost. But the window is closing.

Just my general estimation, doesn't make it a fact for everyone, as everyone's situation is different, but it's done really well for me and others.

Orama logs in and checks up on the threads, and I'm guessing handles PM's. He has no news which is probably why he's not responding to you guys.

Multi-TH competitor units are being delivered to people right now. That 3TH Neptune looks more and more like an expensive SkyMall heater everyday, doesn't it? Of course KNC says nobody is shipping anything.

Why aren't folk scryptmining more? You'd make more BTC/day with $10k investment, than you would hoping on a Neptune. Or just buy competitor's equipment and bitcoin mine with it. It's clear, as was hinted at long ago, KNC wants to move away from dealing with individual customers.

I still think if the Neptune misses a March delivery date, it's a Bitcoin loser for buyers.

I wanted to say that when he posted the picture in another thread a few days ago.

The fire hazards i have noticed in some peoples setups is unbelievable

Nah it it's a clever plan tbh, if a fire starts you need to ensure total destruction. Else the insurance company might figure out wth you were doing and refuse to cover it Grin

People of Bitcoin, thanks for your worries! Picture was taken directly after receiving the miners and temporarily setting them up (PSU's and all that). Miners are at a different location now, also because of 10kW heat makes it hot in my garage...

I cancelled my order, KnC had me waiting 9 business days for my BTC but was always friendly and responsive.

They would need to really outdo themselves on the Neptune for it to ROI. And I have the feeling that delivering hardware to miners is not really KnC's business plan any longer.

Side note: Look what I have bought:

Looks like 4TH NOW Baby!!

Well done!!

Pretty precisely 4TH, and having pre-ordered the Neptune at peak BTC prices the refund almost totally covers it.
