Sorry for the temporary offtopic meta post:  WTF is wrong with you people? This is the KNC thread. If you want to discuss something which is entirely not KNC and entirely unrelated to KNC, do it in another thread!

Are you like a poorly house broken pet that craps wherever it like when it has difficulty crapping in the appointed place? Jesus.   Cut it out.

(I will be removing this post in a couple hours.  If you want to respond to it, send me a PM or open a new thread.)

[Edit: To clarify, I'm talking about the discussion of some totally KNC unrelated scammers.  The posts about the power usage fire are borderline and really should have been in their own thread— but at least there is an arguable connection to the high anticipated power usage of the KNC neptunes... so I'm not yelling at those posts, though I think the meter fire pictures would be interesting to a lot more people than KNC customers]

100+ messages were just deleted by the moderators.

Things will be better in the future.

how this happening...? I doubt KNC is are deleting these posts

joe threw the dummy out of the pram and tagged them all to moderators. Deleted. KNC can't delete posts lol

I just tagged 5, they nuked the others all on their own.

6 of my own messages got deleted.

Looked to me  that the orders made now would be May delivery batch , so around the same period as Neptunes? Of course that assumes KNC don't produce a faster rig than their original spec which they have proved more than capable of (KNC modules were specced at 100GH and ran at 140 out of the box)  and they don't change their minds about speed being important. Also, the KNC horse has form. Already won a big race Smiley

Yes, ordering now at Cointerra is pretty useless - you can either use 90 days (beginning of May) or 120 (end of may) in the bitcoin calculator for even 2TH it turns out negative. But sadly even the Neptunes with 3TH and 60days turn out with quite some losses. And this even asumes the difficulty increase keeps about the same level, so the Cointerra shipments don't affect the overall difficulty increases. Even 4TH turn out negative.

I don't like that.

so Cointerra made it:
http://cointerra.com/pr-cointerra-begins-shipment-terraminer-iv-worlds-fastest-bitcoin-miner/

2 TH for 5.999,--
=> 2999,5 per TH, shipping in January.

KNC's 3 TH for 9.999,--
=> 3.333,33 per TH, shipping in Q1/Q2.

looks like this time KNC was the wrong horse to bet on.

I believe they are 1.7TH and the people who are receiving them now paid a lot more than $5999 for the honour of being in batch 1, it was $14,000

But yes if you order one now it will be $6K and your calculations comparing them to KNC may be correct, it just depends whether KNC do their customary overdelivery of performance and which one you can get first now. Cointerra is in May.. and KnC, well we don't know yet.

Apples and oranges. The cointerra was announced long ago, the neptune is brand new. And the cointerra is not 2GHps, but around 1.7Ghps, and the neptune is most likely not 3Ghps, but more.
hope dies last - i hope for more than 3TH (not GH), too.

i just hope they're not into some trouble, as no continuing Jupiter sales and no upgrade module sales might indicate.

Not something like their main chip designer/Bitcoin guru/experienced hardware Parts Purchaser/software developper quit, or just got so rich he/she's only turning up drunk any more at the office.

I heard the Swedish like the booze.

KNC just got Crockered

In the "a fat lazy male figure that sits on his computor all day with no breaks -that crocker is way to lazy" type crocker? Or some other colloquialism?

The former, indeed.

Bitcoinorama promoted to director of KnC Miner
http://foundersgrid.com/bitcoin-adoption
Quote
Alexander Lawn, director of KnCMiner responds:

Most crucially businesses to apply the transactional cost reduction to consumers. If you were told you could save 5% on every purchase made using Bitcoin as a payment means over the standard electronic payment means, which would you choose?
Congrats bro ;-)

Is this real? Grats!
I don't think so. On the video from Vegas, he was introduced as the director of communications...

Lol I replied as dir of comms to this guy and he's abbreiviated it sans comms, and credit to Sam to the response to that specific q, as I bounced it off of him. The prev response w.r.t. government regs was my ans, as was the future price Q. Not sure how you can answer the latter and pull a specific figure from the air, would rather stay optimistic w.r.t. future BTC price though. Wink

Will say the vibe in Miami was very positive, there was a lot more innovation in services present which I was happy to see. Bitcoin needs this.

That was a wink smiley !
