Sorry if this has already been discussed (can't keep up with this thread!) but realistically, will the Neptune ever ROI? It seems a bit punchy price-wise...

It's been speculated a lot. Some folks are saying it will at the least bring back 10-15btc within 90 days. My safe projection is about 5btc within 45 days.

If you paid in BTC, of course you want to make the same amount back, or more. If you paid in fiat, then your viewpoint of ROI will be different.

For me, i'd rather pay in fiat if I could order one.

So (correct me if I'm wrong) in TWO WEEKS this batch of miners will be done and then the next batch of miners will be offered for sale to ANYONE  at the price I heard of $12,666 incl shipping...or some such...ie open the floodgates....

What exactly do you think is gonna happen to that site/ordering etc when Chinese folks can order these Neptune miners direct at that point? I would imagine a lot of these folks missed the boat on the Oct orders etc? It could be beyond huge (also could mess up my plans on ROI on Neptune....er then again more demand for BTC .....jeez this stuff can give a guy a headache)

This is another reason I call BS on the whole 'protect the network' claim. They will take a ton of orders and happily fulfill them. AS has been said earlier, difficulty in mid-late 2014 is going to be a shizzfest, and only profitable to industrial setups.

Bitcoin will certainly have a crazy jump in price over the next year I have no doubt--how much in 2014 is the question. So mining at home will still bring something in, but we will soon see the days when the jupiter is getting .01 per month. Better hope that .01 is worth like $400 or something.

Geez KNC, you post about upcoming announcement 2 days ago.  And now when I am on vacation you already start ordering.....wtf.  Talk about being in a rush for cash. Good thing I have remote access to my wallet.  Also, I do not see bank transfer option on payment section.  Tongue

At this point difficulty is now going to be hyperbolic and everyone is going to get pennies.  It may be time to just resell units to the new suckers.

Er..I had what I think anyway an interesting thought (doubtful)

...knc miner has a Chinese site..so I assume anyone from China also has links if they we're a previous customer to get the Neptune.

So (correct me if I'm wrong) in TWO WEEKS this batch of miners will be done and then the next batch of miners will be offered for sale to ANYONE  at the price I heard of $12,666 incl shipping...or some such...ie open the floodgates....

Gives one pause don't it?

(goes back to the KNC shopping que and ponders the 2nd unpaid Neptune...and continues naval gazing and pondering....good to have goals)

Anyone received a shipping notification today?
An update would be nice.    Kind of a simple summary.
Saturns Shipped:       Still to Ship:
Jupiters Shipped:      Still to Ship:
Total Units Shipping per Day:

Date and Time that last order shipped today PAID:

That would give everyone enough information that we could maybe stop adding 10 pages a day to this thread?

Anyhow.. I have confidence they can pull off the 20nm stuff, and their designs are without equal right now, but I just think they burned a few bridges in order to open up a few pathways to the industrial side of mining. In the longrun, it will be professionally hosted sites and industrial-based home setups which will carry bitcoin. It's clear KNC is positioning themselves to be the #1 hardware supplier of those customers, and is leaving the consumer/foundational miner behind.

Anyone who doesn't see that, has blinds over their eyes.

And Orama, I wouldn't be to sharp to say Cointerra's chips are being rated at "maximum" output. There just may be some surprises in store.

Just my .02

Cash/bitcoin/gold/women it's all the same, right? I'm just looking to see if someone wants to offload their Jupiter now while they still can....in a couple months they may be very hard to sell. Or I wouldn't be interested in that time. See ya at work!

So you can pay in women.. what might you have to offer..?

Cheesy

I prefer the strong (put'em to work) and real silent type ( can't nag nor argue back, well at least not out loud)....you got any of those opentoe?

Ok tone it down, your promotion of wesley is starting to look a bit sycophantic

LOL.. I thought it was interesting he said he appreciated my effort, and then pointed back to Wesley

So many dynamic individuals out here on the interwebs.

I wish him and Wesley best of luck, and will continue to beg for folks to use my referral link haha Cheesy
