Sup Dev, and fellow Swingers  Wink

I've noticed something off with the wallet:

I've made two deposits today, from exchange to wallet.  The transaction itself works flawlessly (and FAST!), but the notification bubble doesn't pop up on the taskbar (which says incoming transaction) for HOURS!

I know it isn't that big of a deal, nothing risky, but shouldn't I get a notification approximately the same time it actually deposits into my wallet?

I keep thinking there are extra deposits incoming  Cry

Cheers!  Cheesy

Dev: Fonzerelllie was referencing people's dissatisfaction with the coin swap IGotSpots did.
Spots swapped 4 coins into 1 and, 1 of the coins had just been sold to holders at $1 per coin
less than a month before the announced swap.

The 4 coins included 1 that were practically worthless. The $1 coins were cut from $ per
coin to $.12 per coin including staking prior to swap and the fact that they gained 6 to 1 for
their portion of the swap. Can't understand why people who just bought at $1 (like me),
got upset when forced into a swap before the $1 coin even hit an exchange and, in
such a short time frame. Apparently, Spots sold the coin and then, woke up one morning and
decided to force swap it in with other coins (preplanned? Who knows).

It's old news but, you were unaware of the reference. Hopefully, it does not bring a shitstorm to your
thread. My apologies if it does. Spots has enthusiastic supporters and detracters.

There is a huge difference in your personal style and swaps.  You treat all with courtesy. All questions
are answered politely and without attack even from a clueless newbies (like me). Your swaps are for
the development and progress of the coin. You develop a market with an exchange long before a swap
so people can get out or continue on their choice.

Thank you - your openness, quality and kindness are a breath of fresh air.

Thanks for the info & positive feedback  Smiley

you're totally right, Spots f'd up his 4 into 1 swap ratios... but it turned out to be an awesome coin before it was exploited and they didn't allow him to fix it, it would probably be doing pretty good right now if they had. I like his NEG so far.

anywho this seems interesting and I'll keep an eye on it, I did own some greed at the start  Cool

how come it says "Q: How long does it take my coins to mature and start staking?
About five minutes."

when it's more like a few hours.

nice to see people copying spots idea of  coin swap - coin swap, I hope a bunch of a$$holes don't come to wreck it after a year plus of effort

I average 30 min between stakes, and often get two on a row, ranging between 2 and 10 SWING.

A few days into staking and I have 570 SWING, raising my position by 16%. So whatever.

Very small inputs may take longer than expected to gain their initial weight. Most are getting initial weight very quickly.

Been over 12 hours since I received the first coins, but still saying I don't have mature coins...  Undecided
That is strange, got mine ~3hours ago and they started to gain weight right after..
Did you unlock your wallet?

You may have that issues if you have an extremely small amount of coins too.

I reinstalled and just now it started staking, but the small amount of coins probably was the reason.

Good to hear  Smiley

Also there are no plans for Swing to swap it's not designed as a 1-2 month staking game like Greed and GE was, and I'm not sure who spots is so..

Also your build is pointing to things that don't exist. Masternodes for example. https://github.com/SwingCoin/Swing/tree/master/src

Down to 30%

49,287.86385707 Seed coins remain

1107126.86143088 GE burned

Hey all

It's an issue with the source recipe files. Your .pro file references all those files that are missing from the /src and /src/qt folders.
Simple job, just comment out all those references and all will be fine.

e.g.
this file doesn't exist in the /src/qt but is referenced here in the .pro makefile
https://github.com/SwingCoin/Swing/blob/master/Swing-qt.pro#L318

Here is a compile i did earlier, give me a shout if anyone would like the compiled wallet. Donations welcome Smiley

hey was wondering if swing was a ico ?

I don't think so, this is just like Greed Evolved, right?  No ICO there unless I missed something...all about swapping, correct?

I have one question:  Is staking up?  Or does POS start another time?

I wonder if more developments are in the planning, since it kind of sounds that Swing is an experiment too, although a more complex one.

Basically the plan from here on out is just to watch the impact of the swing supply, try to get on as many exchanges as possible, grow the community and spread the word about swing.

Swing is meant to last unlike Greed and GE that were designed to live for about a month and get replaced.

That being said, as the community grows and developers get interested I wouldn't be surprised at all if holders start coming together to progress swing in their own ways in the spirit of open source development.

That involves zero work. But +1 for honesty. I'll watch closely.

And that's the point actually.

Your coins are not valued on my work ethic.

In how many other coins can you say the same?

Again, I didn't say that was a bad thing, quite the opposite actually.
Thanks for being very open to questions.

Sure thing! Smiley

Few larger swaps coming in today.  Smiley

Down to 38% remaining.

61,836.12780935 Swing Seed Coins remain

981,644.22190792 GE has been burned

Side note,
I'm expecting Yobit to add Swing within 48 hours.  Grin

Smiley this is fun! I like that the SHA256 algo gives a bit of an edge to those staking (since BTC miners make competing near impossible even w rented hash). Nice work dev, and props on the near instant conversion times from GE->SWING  Grin swapped a few times now and very happy with how quick I'm able to swap and get right down to stakin!

Agreed, can't stress it enough. Really good work here.

The whole Greed and GE projects, even as experiments, show that the dev is serious about it by having swapping possible. He carried his tests and didn't let down the investors after leaving former projects.
It's not the case of making a coin and dump it. There's a lot of thought into this. I wonder if more developments are in the planning, since it kind of sounds that Swing is an experiment too, although a more complex one.

What's the burn address of GE by the way, I must have missed it.

If you are trying to swap:
https://crypto.typeform.com/to/PTRRNN

If you just want to look:
http://cryptobe.com/a/FUJJ9WD5yM

Do you hold private keys to this address?

Currently yes, it makes it much easier for me to process the swap if the wallet it running and notifying me of received coins. Also it functions as a bit of a safety net for when we get down to <~10% remaining VIA allowing me to unlock just long enough let pending inputs confirm. This was a much bigger issue in GREED though as it was POS only during swap and the chain started to halt a few times as everything converted.

I can destroy the private keys once the swap ends for everyone's sanity.

Thanks for addressing concerns. Say hello to YoBit.
