Syscoin- Changing the way people do business.
The marketplace needs to be rebranded if you want it to be mass adopted.
This is not the final product.  The "Blockmarket" I think should be fully branded and sexy looking.  I'll let the devs confirm the sexiness though... @dano, can you confirm that Blockmarket will be sexy?  Thanks!

Smiley Yes Blockmarket is our first product on top of the Syscoin platform and is a consumer-grade experience for the decentralized marketplace similar to what most web users are accustomed. Blockmarket's first milestone is in June/July timeframe (on roadmap) and will be a version intended to be run on a standalone server, this offering will also be packaged with our Azure deployments allowing 1-click marketplace deployments.

After the first milestone is accomplished we'll move to the second milestone which is a multi-tenant version of Blockmarket. This will support multiple sellers under one roof. The team will have its own version of this deployed for people to use the Syscoin marketplace with no download or install required. We'll probably cap inventory on the version we host (15 items per user or something) with the goal of driving up adoption and steering merchants who want to scale up into larger inventory towards their own Blockmarket deployment on Azure (milestone 1).

Still aren't 100% decided on what our web wallet experience will be. Given the features of Syscoin we'd really want to enable users with the all these features in any web wallet experience we present. Looking into porting Bitcore to Syscoin to allow for fully independent wallet operation in the browser with no download and without user funds sitting on a web server somewhere.

sorry for the dumb question but wasnt syscoin scrypt before?

Yes. We switched to SHA-256 to be merge-mined with Bitcoin to give us a more solid and scaleable network. It also gave us the ability to offer Bitcoin as a payment option in our decentralized marketplace.

If I understand well, the sell offer remains live forever unless the seller puts its down himself, right?

The offer is technically always there, however when the quantity goes to 0 it will no longer be visible publicly (so if you sell out, you can just change the quantity when your stock replenishes). To hide an offer you can either change the quantity to 0 or change it to a private offer.

Is there a way to browse your market from a browser (without downloading SYS client) ?

That is exactly what the upcoming Blockmarket is for.

Syscoin- Changing the way people do business.
yayy I am the first poster in the new Syscoin ANN. It looks fresh and neat!  Smiley. You guys have come from far, from now on it's all about consolidation and expansion of the project, trying to achieve mainstream status and turn this baby into a billion dollar project  Wink

Thanks! We only launched 2.0 last weekend we def have a big year ahead of us now that we have the proper foundation in place!

github link wont work Sad

Sorry about that, should be fixed now.

Great work Dano and team! Been around Syscoin since the first fork Wink

Look forward to selling many things on the market!

Appreciate having you and so many other awesome people stick with us through the years! Its awesome to see how many items are already for sale on the marketplace just a week after launch, going to really explode this year as we deliver Blockmarket and plugin experiences while driving at new merchant and ecommerce partners in parallel with development.  Smiley
