I would say our biggest challenge was in 2014-2015. We had some big plans to make Syscoin the most useful cryptocurrency and we unfortunately had to really slow down our operations since the escrow provided for our ICO stole most of our funds.

We spent countless days of sleepless hours on our dayjobs, continuing Syscoin development and fighting Ryan Kennedy in court, it was exhausting and it felt very demoralizing to tell you the truth.

Ryan Kennedy was also put in jail for 11 years for multiple counts of rape:

We learned a lot from our experience:
1-That we will never give up
2-To do our due diligence with everyone we engage
3-We built the world's first decentralized 3rd-party escrow system!
How did we overcome it? We continued with development despite having no funds, a few of our community members loved our project so much that they eventually became team members and the rest is history! Now that we've received $3.3 million in funding we are able to execute our original dream and so much more.
Thanks for your reply. That does sound like a very intense challenge. I was not following the project back then so I had no idea this happened. I'm glad to see you guys overcame it, learned from the experience, and ended up with a lot of funding. It says a lot when a team can overcome something like that and be very successful after!
