What a win by Srilanka yesterday. I just opened the score card to see the margin with which Srilanka lost the 3rd T20I but to my surprise it was victory for Srilanka. Dasun Shanaka played a captain knock by scoring a not out innings of 54 runs. This indicates the fact that Srilanka still is a team that can beat best teams.
To be honest, none words can characterize that moment. I've no trust on Sri Lanka as in light of the fact that Aussie hitters set a monstrous total. T20 series have lost but that that third t20 match win definite will give them boost as they're heading ODI series. Thank you for entertaining us Dasun Shanaka, you're excellence.

Bilateral cricket is about to fuck up in international cricket (rightly so, except test cricket), at least in the biggest market. According to some reliable journalists IPL media rights auction already crossed the base amount (it's only for A+B category) and it's kinda 2 days affair.
I read an article regarding this today, the battle between the richest people in the world for the IPL media rights to get the bragging rights and possible exposure for their media platforms, Mukesh Ambani and Jeff Bezos to battle for the bid and then there is Disney who is sending their top executives for the media rights and it is going to be a record breaking event as per experts in the article i read  Cheesy. Good time for the BCCI when there are battles for the media rights as they are the ultimate winners  Grin.

Did anyone followed the match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe? They won the first T20I with relative ease. The tour consists of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs, and so far Afghanistan has won all the matches. They could have included one test match as well. I don't even remember the last time I saw these two teams playing test format. Anyway, winning 4 matches on the trot is quite encouraging for a team like Afghanistan, and that too away from home. They are performing quite well, despite all the trouble with Taliban.

There are both good and worry aspect of this series. Good thing is Afghanistan is playing good cricket and they will very soon become ICC permanent member. Bug worrying sign is that we have lost a good test playing side, performance of Zimbabwe is continuously going down.

Sri Lanka scored 59 runs in the last 3 overs, which was completely unexpected. We never imagined that Sri Lanka would bat so well against experienced Australian bowlers.
This surprised me as well. They batted like crap in the first matches while their bowlers performed really well, but it was the complete opposite in this particular match.

Shanaka was brilliant, but there were many useful contributions from several other players which helped them win this one. They really needed the win considering the fact that their country is reeling in economic turmoil these days.
Shanaka scored the most important runs, and from the very beginning of the innings every player have contributed little runs and this has driven Sri Lanka towards a win. Finally the win have made Australia win the series 2-1, if not this could've been a shame of losing all matches in the home ground.
I saw a great match, Sri Lankans are known for that. The Skipper Dasun Shanaka played an outstanding knock. In Pallekele, Sri Lanka's captain rides a wave of late heroics to lead his team to a thrilling victory. As Sri Lanka hit 59 in the last three overs, Dasun Shanaka leads the way as this young blood can do anything special in the future to restore the peak form to the team. They did wonders out of nowhere and avoided being whitewashed.
I never expected Srilanka to win the last T20 match of this series. After losing two matches I was in the impression that this series would be a complete whitewash. Just checked the highlights of this match and the top order of the Srilankan batting played pathetically. If it was not for the captain then obviously they would have lost the match.

Similar to Shanaka I see Dilshan in the past. He used to perform similarly in the opening order and here Shanaka have made the country cheer amidst the bad economic conditions. With this young blood the team can't make big wins for a long, combined effort is a must as yesterday's match. Everyone need to take responsibility if a player who is expected to perform well didn't do good. Once Sri Lanka was strong enough to win any team and slowly it needs to regain its position.

Afghanistan is undoubtedly one of the well known cricket teams in the world. We saw  that last three ODI and One T20 match finish between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe where all the matches own by Afghanistan. Definitely the whole experience of the different leagues is good for the players, In this concern Afghan team have enough experience especially on T20 format. Actually most of the predictor think that all the matches will be owned by Afghan with Zimbabwe.

Can someone enlighten me why Aaron Finch got the man of the series award? I mean it's ~snip~ Award should have to gone to bowler, may be Hazelwood.
Warner has scored 16 runs more than Finch. Both of them has contributed with their batting performance in every match. There isn't big difference between their strike rate. I think they selected Aaron Finch as man of the series for his great batting performance and for his captaincy. Otherwise, I don't see any reason of doing that.

Hazlewood hasn't taken any wicket in the second T20. Perhaps, Hazlewood would have received the award if he had picked some wickets in the second game.

Hmmm

Can someone enlighten me why Aaron Finch got the man of the series award? I mean it's okay as everyone in cricketing world suck up to Batriarchy, which is hard reality unfortunately but he scored 61 and 29 in 2 matches, David Warner scored more runs than him, marginally but still (unless they are looking at strike which i highly doubt). Award should have to gone to bowler, may be Hazelwood.

-----------------
Edit

Oh well i thought it was 2 match series (he scored 61+ 24 + 29) , facepalm. But still Warner scored more....

Sri Lanka batted very well. At least they batted better than I expected. Now they need 30 runs from 10 balls to win. Although I don't think Sri Lanka will win this match. They managed to score 147 runs in 18.2 overs. Almost every player in the top order has tried good batting. The performance of the Sri Lankan batsmen in today's match was better than at least the last two matches.

Your guess is not right. Surprisingly, Sri Lanka won the match by 4 wickets. Only Dasun Shanaka's brilliant batting helped Sri Lanka to win. Shanaka played a devastating inning of 54 off 25 balls. Vaccinized.. immunity level is full.
Australia dominated the first two T20 matches against Sri Lanka and won. Hopefully they will be able to continue this continuity. Australia decided to bat today after winning the toss and they were able to collect 138 runs in 17 overs. If Australia can give a target of 170,  think it is enough to win. Because in the first two matches Sri Lanka collected 128 and 124 respectively.
There is a fighting total for Australia, they manage to set a target of 177 after 20 overs, but can it be enough? As a result of Sri Lanka's last two matches, 177 target will be a big burden for their soldiers. It is even unknown whether they will get at least 100 runs. Australia will win easily.
The target of 177 runs is too big for a team like Sri Lanka. Because there are very few experienced and consistent batsmen in the Sri Lankan squad. He even lost the first wicket for 25 runs. At the end of 4 overs, Sri Lanka collected only 26 runs, now their run rate is 6.5. They still need 9.4 runs per over to win. Winning this match will be more difficult for Sri Lanka if they do not play well in the power play

Do not know about sonyliv but hotstar is quiet pathetic in livestream. I am using a high speed broadband connection and still the live matches tend to buffer quiet often when I am watching them on hotstar. Amazon is far much better when it comes to livestream. They will not remove those advertisement bas it is another source of income for them when they are paying so much to get exclusive rights to the matches.

Well... this is surprising. I have subscription for Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV and Disney+Hotstar along with Fancode. Out of them, I didn't found much difference between Sony LIV and Amazon in terms of quality. But I agree that Hotstar is quite a bit shitty. It is not just the buffering.. ads are quite irritating. And I am not sure about the Hotstar subscription. As far as I know, it was as expensive as the one from SONY LIV. You can't compare with Amazon Prime Video, because they offer a lot more benefits (for Amazon shopping and movies).

The Australians are definitely targeting a 3-0 victory over Sri Lanka. This time around, Australia wins the toss and decides to bat first! It's a good decision since this will allow them to know how a score is set up when it's ready. They aim to give a decent score-line with their current run rate of almost 8 per over. Sri Lanka is struggling in cricket, so I don't expect anything remarkable from them.
Australia is going for the white wash and they are in a strong position right now with 4 overs to spare and it depends upon how Steven Smith and Marcus Stoinis score the boundaries with ease and they will be setting up a total above 170 runs and with the weak batting line up Sri Lanka has right now, it is a total they can defend easily. But personally i want to see Sri Lanka win the match.
