Already teams are disappearing from the game of cricket for instance Kenya and Zimbabwe. Afghanistan is improving its cricket day by day. ICC has finally made a wise decision by not banning them and trust me its only because of India support to new Afghanistan government. Nonetheless its good for Afghanistan and international cricket.
Surely it's a very good and important decision by ICC for they have not banned Afghanistan because if they do this then surely it's going to hurt very badly to Afghanistan and cricket world as we lost some very good and quality players from screen. Even currently it's not easy for them to survive and have some better future in game of cricket with too many concerns regarding their future but good thing they are having some positive favor from ICC and few other members.
Recently, we have some good things with franchise leagues are doing better and this can improve some quality and players finances but still it needs some good and strong marketing for having more bright and good future around the glob.

Afghanistan is a really good promising team and they can get a lot better if they are nurtured correctly. And if at this time they got banned by ICC it would have been disastrous for them. It's a really good thing that ICC did not ban them and let them continue in their situation. I think it's better that ICC took this decision because otherwise Afghanistan team would also have been lost like Kenya.

In South Africa also, the regime change was boodless. Does that provide any legitimacy to the regime? Actually the regime in South Africa was voted to power (although only the white voters had the power to vote), while the one in Afghanistan captured power after murdering thousands. Indian government has condemned the Taliban takeover and doesn't have any diplomatic relations with them, so it will be wrong to claim otherwise. As far as I know, only Pakistan and a few Arab nations supported the Taliban takeover.
We need to understand geography of this region before comparing it with South Africa or any other country. Afghanistan is land locked country and all of its trade is through Pakistan. So Pakistan has no other option but to accept every government in Afghanistan. Previous regime was totally anti Pakistani but Pakistan still has to accept it. Now the current regime is yet to declare itself as pro Pakistan or Indian. Both India and Pakistan don't wanna leave that country for there own interest.

That's why bcci still allowing Afghanistan players to be part of IPL but not Pakistani players, upcoming Afghanistan tour is also part of that Indian government move to have good relations with Taliban. Still if you are saying these moves have nothing to do with Indian government narrative on Taliban government then its your own say.

Ok, I think there is just a little too much politics being described than it actually is. Because in my opinion, Afghanistan doesn't care about which country loves them or hates them. And that's how they got through the rough patches of so many years previously.

So, I think it's a little too much to say that the tour is happening just because the relationship between the governments needs to get better. There are other diplomatic ways to do that.

And about banning Afghanistan, why would you even say something like that knowing that there are already only a few teams playing cricket.
Others who are trying to prove themselves by putting on a good performance, ICC is not allowing them to do so because of their ""low ranking"".
I think if we can't give solutions to a situation, we shouldn't make it worse.

Afghanistan is now a very good team if you compare their past performance. They are slowly climbing the ladder to become one of the top teams in cricketing world. But, they have never been supported by BCCI nor their government has been recognised by the Indian government. Although there are a couple of players who are playing in IPL that doesn't mean India is supporting the present government.

The idea that India supports the present government of Afghanistan is absolutely bogus and there is no proper source of this information. Because Afghanistan had problems for a long time. They are a war-struck country and it's hard for a country like this to prosper in sports but they have done it. I don't think there was any direct help for them at that time and also not too much help for them now. If they are doing well, only they deserve the credit, not anyone else.

It was a good decision taken by ICC after a long time because Afghanistan had some world-class cricketers and if they were banned it would have been really bad for the whole of cricket. I think we all know how important international matches are in cricket. It's not football where you say for certain clubs and make a good living out of it.

Case of Russia and South Africa is entirely different from Afghanistan. In Afghanistan we have a government that is given charge by leaving rulers backed by USA and western country. Recent regime change is also bloodless.
ICC allowed Afghanistan membership only after they ensured that women cricket will be allowed. Even Indian government and BCCI has no issues with Taliban as they will be hosting Afghanistan team for series before IPL and no of Afghanistan players are increased to 4 in 2022 (3 in ipl 2021).

Afghanistan game was totally changed now. In 2010, the game afghanistan was like a street cricketer game Vs International players game. Don't feel bad, while I had criticized Afghanistan. But their game was improved 10 times from 2010.In 12 years they improved the game and give tough to other team.So we should not considered any team as a small. It will change at any moment in a couple of years.
The main advantage is that they were  able to identify real potential and Rashid Khan is the find of Afghanistan and he changed the entire complex of the team as he will be able to change the match in any situation and now a days all the teams are careful when they play against his bowling and he is considered one of the best spinners of all time with his control and variation. If they are able to find a couple of players like that caliber they will challenge any team in any condition.

Bangladesh has lost the second match by 8 wickets. It was meant to be. Because Bangladesh isn't very strong in this format. They have won the first match as they were able to set a good target in that match. But we have seen very bad performance from Bangladeshi players today. None of them has played a notable innings. The bowlers has nothing to do when the target is low like that. Eventually, the T20 series trophy is shared between them.
It was really surprising me because I was expecting Bangladesh to take the T20 series 2-0 after winning the first T20 match and winning the ODI series 2-1. But, Afghanistan seemed that they proved their depth in T20 format. Compared to Bangladesh, Afghanistan got good talents who are all suitable for T20 format. This way drawing T20 series with Bangladesh in Bangladesh soil must be a significant achievement for Afghanistan by considering their nation's political instability and the support they do get from their own people and cricket board and government.

I wish to see many players from Afghanistan to participant in IPL but not sure after Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi, how many of them will get chances in this year.

-snip-
But even though I said that I also agree that Afghanistan is a decent team who can perform much better at the t20 and test cricket than Bangladesh.
And I think Bangladesh seriously needs to think about their T20 batting because they just cannot win the toss and put on a score like that.

Before the series started I think that Bangladesh is not too much better than Afghanistan and Bangladesh is good in the ODI format but in test and T20 cricket, Afghanistan is certainly better than Bangladesh in my opinion.

So, I am actually not that surprised that Bangladesh lost the second T20. I also thought something like this could happen when I saw Bangladesh batting. They almost batted like it was a test match. Only probably 3 players of Bangladesh have a strike rate of more than a hundred in this match.

Performance of Afghanistan in Bangladesh tour is very much satisfactory as they won one ODI and losing the series by 2-1 while levelling the T20 series. This is positive thing that regime change has not created any negative impact on the cricket. Afghanistan truly are a candidate for test status. If Bangladesh despite such poor test performance in 20 years can retain test status then why can't Afghanistan get that ?
There are Afghanistan player in IPL 2022 Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad, Mohammad Nabi and Fazalhaq Farooqi.
Personally I don't believe that Afghanistan as a team is worse than Bangladesh. They lack the test experience, only because they don't get to play too many test matches against quality opposition. But the real issue is with the regime. How can we allow such a brutal dictatorship such as Taliban to get representation in the sports field? The ICC had suspended South Africa for Apartheid policies. There should not be double speak with Afghanistan and they should suspend that country as well. They can learn from FIFA, which suspended Russia recently.

I will disagree because as a team I think Afghanistan is obviously worse than Bangladesh but the thing is most of the Bangladesh players who are dependable are not in form. But even though I said that I also agree that Afghanistan is a decent team who can perform much better at the t20 and test cricket than Bangladesh.

Bangladesh's T20 team isn't as good as Afghanistan's. BAN made the same mistakes again and again, that's what is most embarrassing about their cricket. You cannot defend a low total after dropping catches countless times, which makes things even more difficult. In the two-match T20I series, Afghanistan won by 8 wickets and drew 1-1. Excellent work by the Afghans. This is what they were accustomed to.

Afghanistan have outclassed Bangladesh in second T20I, as host scored 115 runs in 20 overs. Top scorer from Bangladesh are Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah who scored 30 and 21 runs. Fazalhaq Farooqi and Azmatullah Omarzai  both picked up 3 wickets. Afghanistan need 12 more runs on 30 balls thanks to 99 runs partnership b/w Hazratullah Zazai and Usman Ghani .
