I never had the doubt that this T20 series would be a whitewash. Indian team has been performing exceptionally well under the captainship of Rohit Sharma. Not to forget some consistent and agressive batting from Shreyas Iyer too. Ravindra Jadeja has gained his lost form and Ishan Kishan also proved why he is now the highest paid player in IPL. Next ODI series with Srilanka and I hope that the India team performs in the same manner.
First, after a long time, India is back in form. More importantly, the top order players have been able to play well. That is why India has won every match. They were out of form for a long time. Because they were not in the form of top order batsmen. If India's top order is able to play well in the ODI series then maybe we will see the same result again. India will win all the matches.
-
If India's top order can play well, they have the ability to win by batting against any target. All the players on the team are very talented. They got a chance in the national team by proving their qualifications. In all the matches of the T20 series, we have seen the dominance of Indian batsmen. If they do not lose form again, India will win the Test series as usual.

India has always been the better batting side and they have always liked to chase. Only in recent times do we see India having really good fast bowlers and spinners. So now they are also comfortable depending. Batting has always been a great asset for Indian cricket and office leave the players can be out of form from time to time but that doesn't mean the batting of the whole team is not good.

Anyway, the batsmen seem to be in the form right now and problems seem to be solved for now.

I also feel one of the reason why team India now is performing better is because of the change in the coaching, and the freedom given by current captain Rohit to Iyer and Jadeja which is further giving them huge dividends. Lastly I feel that ex Indian captain Virat immediately needs to perform, or he’ll be out of the team became there’re so many talented player’s waiting to play in the playing 11.

Vaccinized.. immunity level is full.
Indian team is facing some turbulence after Virat Kohli was kicked out for nepotism and favoritism. The entire team is divided in to two camps - one supporting Kohli and the other that doesn't. The Kohli camp is trying hard to protect the players in their camp. For example, Hardik Pandya was persisted in the team for many years despite not performing up to the mark. Players like Venkatesh Iyer, drafted in as the replacement for Hardik are not given enough chances to showcase their skills. All this is having an impact on the performance.
Rather than nepotism and favouritism, the team is full of politics. This is common with Indian team, earlier it was with Dhoni. In particular how this politics is being made is from the senior players. The senior players used to give pressure to the board that one player from their association must be there in the team. This means from Mumbai Cricket Association there needs to be a player, whether he performs or not is secondary. This is how the board seems to operate.

Well but that's not the right way to operate because a lot of great and talented players will miss out on their opportunity to prove themselves. I think this is the right way to go now as the BCCI is doing currently. people will always be divided into two sides. Doesn't matter how absurd it is. I always think that cricket is a game of skill and strategy. So, obviously, skill and strategy are going to you always be considered ahead rather than nepotism and favoritism.

No, I think India was already in the form. They have recently won against Scotland, Afghanistan in the T20 world cup. Then they won matches against West Indies and now they are winning against Srilanka. India is capable of beating these weak teams. They only fail to perform or struggle when they play with big teams like Pakistan and Australia etc.

India team recently lost to South Africa in Test 2-1 and whitewashed in ODI series. Now we cant say that winning against WI and SL at home is a sign that they have regained form and Rohit Sharma is a good captain. WI and SL are both weak teams and can easily be beaten by any test playing team. These days good teams are Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, England and South Africa. Both India and Rohit need to perform good against them to prove that they are strong too.

This looks like you're underrating Indian team connecting with the loss against Pakistan in the Super 12 match last year. I don't think India used to struggle against big teams. If questioned with the big cricketing teams surely they'll find it difficult to play against India than Pakistan. I agree on the statement that most of the time match results are like predefined when playing against small teams. Even now I don't add Sri Lanka on the small teams list.

I think it's not the case about India not being in form. I think it was more about the Indian top-order failing. And the problem looks to be solved right now. And it's not a surprise to anyone, in my opinion, the result of this series. Problems seem to be getting solved in the team. Next is the test series and I think the results are going to be somewhat similar in that too.

Nice to see the PSL 2022 finishing on a high note without any untoward incidents. 41-year old Mohammad Hafeez formed the backbone of the Pakistani batting lineup, and he along with Shaheen Shah Afridi destroyed Multan when they came up for batting. Can't forget the contributions from the two overseas stars as well - David Wiese and Harry Brook. Especially surprised with the stellar performance from the latter, as I was hearing his name for the first time this season. And also, congrats to the captain Shaheen Shah for his accurate tactics.

That's no doubt a positive sign for Pakistan cricket that PSL is 100% successfully conducted in Pakistan and many overseas players participated in this PSL. Hafeez despite 41 years was man of the match as he scored 69 runs and got 2 wickets. Muhammad Rizwan rightly deserves player of the tournament for his outstanding batting performance throughout the tournament. Next in line is Australia tour to Pakistan, let's hope it went well also so that cricket revive in Pakistan.

Yes, this being a series played in India players have their best and if this was played away from home, surely the matches would've been even much fighting. Sri Lanka isn't that strong as the past thats the reason why it wasn't able to make a win against India. If Indian players perfom in such a consistent way on abroad matches then it is real improvement.

Multan sultan got absolutely deleted in the last match of this PSL. Honestly, I would have liked a little more competitive match personally.

From start to finish it looked like there was only one team in the match. And I was actually amazed to see Muhammad Hafeez play like that at the age of 41. He really showed what experience can do in a cricket match. but I think Asif Afridi bowled really well for the Multan sultan. But that wasn't enough as the other bowlers did not do pretty well and the batting was also not up to the mark.

Sanju Samson promoted above the order still, he was not able to perform as thought seeing his performance in the second T20 match. Shreyas Iyer again trying to deliver what has been excepted from him. I am pretty much sure India will be able to win this match and this series will be again a whitewash.
Shreyas Iyer was consistent throughout this tournament and he is yet to be dismissed in this series with 57 not out followed by 74 not out and today 73 not out and he is the sole player who took the game away from Sri Lanka in all of the three matches. Sanju Samson was promoted today as an opener and yet he was not able to deliver and he needs to focus on consistency if he wants a chance again as the competition is really tough.
Yes, it was Shreyas who have made the series a big win for India. Back to back performance in a much consistent and with more confidence shows his ability. I expect similar level of performance when playing abroad. The biggest thing with Indian players, used to perform well at the home ground and exact opposite scenario happens playing abroad. Sanju Samson have been getting good opportunity and he needs to make use of it. At times he looks like an IPL player who shows his ability only in IPL matches.
Sri Lanka is being whitewashed. It was an easy chase for India after another masterclass from Shreyas Iyer. His hat-trick of fifty-plus scores and his contributions to winning causes make him an outstanding batsman. It is hoped that he will continue to perform well on overseas trips and during the T20 World Cup this year. India is in great shape for the T20 WC. Regarding Sanju Samson, I highly doubt if he will get another opportunity to play.

Lahore needed this win. The final was held in Lahore and there was no better way to win the first PSL title for Lahore qalandar at Lahore.

Apart from the win, we are very happy to successfully conduct the full tournament in Pakistan. It's not a win for Multan or Lahore, its a win for PAKISTAN.

congrats to Qalandars. I was supporting Multan Sultan. The way they were going I like many thought they will pick the trophy this time again. But Lahore Qalandars proved it wrong. The Shaheen Shah Afridi led Qalandars is the the only team left that has not won the competition title since the Pakistan super league started in 2016. Last time Qalandars lost to Karachi Kings the only final they played in 2020.

In 2022, Lahore lifted the trophy. So now all PSL teams have won title at-least once.
That's unexpected performance from Qalanders, because it was Sultans to top the table with a single defeat. Anyhow this was an interesting season of PSL than the previous seasons. As said in the above quote it isn't the win for Qalanders or Sultans, if is the win for Pakistan conducting a world class cricket league.

Now it's time for Pakistan to get ready for the test series against Australia which is under big expectation from cricket enthusiasts.

PSL came to end yesterday, it was Lahore who finally lifted PSL trophy after 7 tournaments. Multan had terrific winning record throughout the tournament and everyone was saying Multan will easily win the match but it was an upset by Lahore. Lahore gave target of 180 and all runs are scored by lower order players hafeez, Brook and David Wiese.

Yesterday was the final match of PSL. No one could have imagined that the Sultan of Multan would be defeated in this way. Despite having good players in the Multan Sultan team, they lost. They have played much better in previous matches. But after reaching the final, they could not take the victory on their own. Rejuan wanted to laugh at the last laugh. Hafiz, on the other hand, was extraordinary. Many people say that the lion is old but he remains a lion. Originally Lahore won for Hafeez. Has done.
