Overseas players are often bought with a lot of money but a lot of time we can see that they leave because of international duty and many other reasons.

I think the other reasons can be forgiven but if the IPL knows that someone will have to leave because of international competition then I think they shouldn't be bought for or the money for him should be less. And some players are also going to get unsold because not everyone can get a team and there are just so many players.

I know that the franchise have a habit of spending and I absolutely agree because I really cannot see some of the players being worth the money that they were bid for. I think the bidding could have been smarter, to be honest.

In Batting and spin department supply is very healthy that's why likes of Eoin Morgan, Finch(they were never good in IPL anyway), Mujeeb etc went unsold.

If we think about what the overseas players are capable of doing, we have to say the teams should go for them. But there is always that risk factor because players can obviously leave because of international duty. But that is something which is obviously going to happen because international cricket is far superior to league cricket.

So there are always going to be pros and cons to this.
And I think that the majority of the overseas players are going to be either all-rounders or fast bowlers.

Because I think except for the national team, India is quite lackluster in these areas. But I still think that the amount of money being spent on a lot of Indian players is just stupid.

Meanwhile Sri Lanka today are almost at the verge of losing 3rd T20I game. A superb spell by Kane Richardson, 4-0-21-3. Sri lanka were restricted to 121 only. Dasun Shanaka was top scorer from Sri Lanka side who scored 39 runs. In Reply Aus are steady, they have scored 95/3 in 13 over.

Chennai haven't picked Raina as well as du plessis which is a bad decision, because they're the key elements of CSK till date. CSK franchise CEO briefed about the addition of players, and mentioned that the ruling government will be so generous.

Chennai did not pick Raina most probably because of the controversy in the last IPL. I think they made Raina aware that he can be left out and is not longer a player in demand. I am not sure why they left out du plessis.

T20 is a very unpredictable game. Even teams such as Netherlands, Scotland and Hong Kong have defeated nations with test status in this format of the game. And that is also one of the reasons why the odds are more attractive in this format. And irrespective of whatever we say about Sri Lanka, we need to admit that they can spring up a surprise at any point of time (as seen from the second T20 match, that was tied). The Nepal versus Ireland match is over and Ireland has won by 16 runs. Both teams played the whole 20 overs. In my opinion, the match was not about Ireland defending a very low score but it was about Nepal batting really bad.
