^^Beauty of T-20 game. Momentum always change with in few ball, At one time they were going with 10+ runs per over but nothing beats when wickets falls like that. India did good with the last over though, 179 runs looks competitive and now time for Indian bowlers and kiwi batsmen.

Quick wicket but the damage has already been don by the top order. If Virat and Shreyas stays till the end of this innings. I think it will be a one sided match again.
Rohit Sharma is back, good batting with 3 sixes and 6 fours.
With the start India got i expect them to score above 190 runs but New Zealand started picking wickets and they can still reach 180 runs if not it will be an easy chase for New Zealand as they need to win this match to stay alive in the series and hence i am going with New Zealand to win the match.
India lost their 5th wicket now 180 looks like an impossible total to reach.

May reach around 180 runs. India failed to capitalize on the good start both openers gave. I think if NZ plays a decent batting then they can easily win this match. They shouldn't lose more wickets in the beginning. The two wickets both Rohit and Dube in an over, turned the match towards NZ. After that run rate came down. In the first 10 overs almost scored 90 runs and lost only one wicket so expected 100+ runs in last 10 overs but they managed to score around 90 runs, not that bad. Now, it all depends on how bowlers do bowling.

New Zealand is back in the game after a good start by India by picking 3 quick wickets and if they keep on picking wickets then they can control the pace of the Indian innings and restrict them to around 160 runs and then it will be a good chase for New Zealand, if they allow India to build up a partnership and score above 200 runs then it will be a difficult chase for New Zealand.

I don't want Rohit for the next 3 T20s as he is not in good form
Have you seen the start Rohit Sharma gave in this match and so is the reason i said it is a matter of time he fires and if he fires he can easily clear the boundary with ease as he already scored 5 boundaries and 3 sixes and India needs a really good score to defend as this is a crucial match for New Zealand to level up the series and i am expecting a really good match but still rooting for India to win the match as the bowlers were performing well and they can put pressure on the New Zealand team if they have a good score on the board as they are going over 10 runs per over now and if they maintain that it will reach over 200 runs.

Newzealand won the toss and decided to bowl first. K L Rahul has the opportunity to be a part of the history. I am not sure why Indian team has not rested Rohit. They should have tested new players in today's match.

India would be happy to bat first and try to put big score on the board and put pressure on NZ . As NZ is 2-0 down it is a must win game for them . So already they are under pressure and batting second chasing big score would be a huge thing for them . India off to the decent start of 38 runs in 4.2 overs and no wicket has fallen.

This is interesting in today's match between India and Newzealand

Virat Kohli is 25 runs away from becoming the Indian captain with most T20 runs

KL Rahul, if he scores fifty today will match Brendon McCullum and Chris Gayles record of succesive T20 fifty in Hamilton.

Two major records can be made by these two Indian batsmen today.

Very much possible. Considering how bad the Kiwi bowlers are doing their job, I don't think that the Indian middle order batsmen may even get a chance to get out to the crease. Their chance will come only if Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma throws away their wickets to careless shots. And regarding the records which you had mentioned, there is a good chance that both the batsmen will achieve them today. I will be looking out for the ICC T20 Rankings as well. India is currently ranked 5th, which I believe is a bit unfair to them. Ideally they should have been in top 3. How can a team such as Pakistan be ranked as no.1 and India relegated to no.5? These rankings make no sense to me.

I am pretty much sure that these two players will create history today. Ranking is a waste, I still do not understand their point system and what factors constitute the rank of a team.

Rishab Pant is a young talent and he has many opportunities to perform in the IPL and then the domestic circuit if i am not wrong and if he improves his performances then he will get selected.

As of now, Rishabh Pant remains the first choice wicket-keeper. He is young and he enjoys support from the coach (Ravi Shastri) and the captain (Virat Kohli). KL Rahul is a part-time keeper, and he'll be doing that job only when Pant is not in the team. And the other potential selections such as Sanju Samson needs to prove themselves (possibly in the IPL), before they can demand a slot in the national XI. Anyway.. we have less than two months to go for the next IPL. Things will be clear once the tournament gets completed. Who knows? There is even a chance that some new player may emerge as the front runner for the keeper slot.

Today New Zealand and India playing their third T20 and if New Zealand cannot win the match then they will loose the series and we might see Scott Kuggeleijn getting his opportunity for the first time in this series and pitch usually produces big runs in the past whether there is any changes is highly unlikely.

Rishab Pant has been given way too many chances and now I think he soon can be dropped from the side. Sad part is once dropped likes of his returning back in side would be almost negligible. You just can't have an average of 26 in ODI and 20 in T20I and still expect the selectors to give you chances in this highly competitive side.

I don't want Rohit for the next 3 T20s as he is not in good form and just getting single digits and is the first one to lose his wicket. Prithvi is also in the squad so they can try him instead and take a chance. I don't even like Dube's performance as he is eager to hit 6s and 4s from the start.

As India is already 2-0 up in the series, they can actually make some a replacement for Rohit and try out somebody else. But thing is that will Kohli want to change his winning combination and Rohit especially because we know once he comes in form he plays a long innings and that too make runs quickly. I think max 1 change in middle order they could be doing only if required.

It is a 5-match series. If they win the next match, then the next two matches will become dead rubber. The management can use this opportunity to test some of the younger players. The excuse of "don't want to change the winning combination" is an old one and it doesn't have any logic. They should learn from the Australian team, which rotates the main players once in a while. They need to think about injury replacements as well. If someone get injured, then the replacement should be ready.

They should go with the winning combination with the next match and if they win they can easily measure the strength of the reserve bench. Yea, rotating the players is very much important, as we can see the Srilankan team is facing lots of problems after some of their legends took retirement.
Another thing is  for the last 3-4 years Manish pandey seems to have lost his touch but he is getting selected, but there are lots of middle-order player like surya kumar yadav, Subhman Gill, Rahane, Sanju samsom who needs some chance atleast.
The problem is you just can't give chance to all of these. India's top order is pretty good already and with likes of Shreyas Iyer even the number 4 position looks pretty much solid to me. With return od Dhawan even KL rahul could be shifted to middle order. Fight would be more or less for one or two spots in the side in which there is a huge list of batsmen trying to get in. I am interested to create a superbru pool for it if we have enough players to perticipate. We really need at least 8 to 10 users to make it fun and entertaining. Without a pool I do not see there are any need for a separate thread for T20 events while we have this thread already.

I would suggest everyone to leave their comments on this:
Would you join the pool  and how much entry fee you are okay with?

Royse777: Yes and minimum 0.002BTC.

I can join pool but there must be good number of players. I know about PSL and their history so no issue for me that. Will prefer only paid pool otherwise it will be too spammy.
If you are going to create pool for PSL then I will try to catch this as now just 20 days left hopefully this could be good for me as I also have some good information about this.

I think it is a matter of time Rohit Sharma gets his touch as he was in good form and the New Zealand pitches are really small and if he gets going he can clear the boundaries with ease, i do not think India will change the team as a win in this match will secure the series and after that they can experiment with the bench strength, the big question is whether they will experiment even if they win the series as they have not done that in the past claiming they want to white wash the series, hopefully they will experiment in this series with new players.

Shaw is not with the T-20 squad, he already playing unofficial ODI series (India A vs New Zealand A) in New Zealand.

Yeah, Dube is not playing long inning but as of now he's playing according to his domestic reputation, which is big hitting so give it a some time.

Dube will take time to perform but it's not a problem as they are already managing without Rohit and Dube as of now which is a good thing so it would be better to try new combinations now. Seems like they don't have a replacement as of now so hope Rohit performs well as IPL is also going to start in March. I'm glad that Rahul's performance is the best and even Iyer is doing great.
