^^ PCB was trying hard for Asia Cup but BCCI already shoot them down for obvious reason and they are not going to visit there anytime soon so we can rule this possibility out.

For ICC tournament one possibility seems manageable if any 3 subcontinent countries bids for joint hosting rights? for ex; Ban-SL-Pak ? then Pakistan can host few WC games.

Well.. why not?

IMO, it may be an excellent idea for PCB, SLCB and BCB to make a joint bid for the major ICC tournaments. BCCI is extremely powerful and they don't need to make a joint bid. But that is not the case with these countries (Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan). In case they could bid successfully, then I would really like to have one or two matches being staged in Afghanistan and Nepal as well. That can give a huge boost to the popularity of cricket in these nations.

I am not sure which world are you living in. In 2011, The world cup in 2011 was hosted by Bangladesh, India & Sri Lanka and they eliminated Pakistan. Now in 2023, they will alone host the World Cup, the Indians and they do not care if 3 others nearby cricketing nations wont get any matches and participation in it. How selfish would that be  Angry

If I am right then SLB can go ahead with idea like this but for BCB its not easy as they are very strongly under Indian influence they never been go with Pakistan so still its not going to happen and Nepal is good good option but Afghanistan is also not good enough for next few years as they are still not going with any agreement between Government and Taliban.

I am sad about Afghanistan. There are millions of cricket fans there. Because of the security situation, the cricket board has moved the home matches to India and therefore 99.99% of the natives can't watch their team in action. What happened in Pakistan is very encouraging. The security situation has improved there and teams such as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are touring that country. I hope that the same can happen with Afghanistan as well.

And regarding BCB's reliance on BCCI, the situation may change in future. If BCCI had so much power and influence, then why couldn't they stop the Bangladeshis from touring Pakistan?
They try their best but Bangladesh was losing points and facing some other fines as well so they do this tour still on official level both governments have not good relationship for long time.

I doubt srilanka and Bangladesh cricket board will go against Indian cricket board. What ever you are thinking will only be possible if BCCI gives a nod to ICC and other boards, which I am sure will never happen.

PCB has more internal politics than any other board. They had one good opportunity but they lost it because of covid19.

BCCI can't or won't do anything about it because Its all comes to bidding and voting so its very possible scenario. The only thing BCCI can do is bid like rest of the cricketing nations. Its same process for any country who wants to host the WC, already happened countless times.

1987 - India + Pakistan
1992 - Australia + New Zealand
1996 - India + Pakistan+Bangladesh(not sure)

and list goes on...

That was history. There has been no world cup hosted in Pakistan in the 21th century and even if ICC decide to host another worldcup in subcontinent, i am sure they will not allow the matches to be played in Pakistan as BCCI will try to enforce it too. I even think that Bangladesh and Srilanka wont get any matches to host too.

Edit: Just googled and found that 2023 Cricket World Cup will only be held in INDIA
Now ICC is not International Cricket Council its Indian Cricket Council because they are giving big part of revenue and Indian Board never allow any good thing happen to PCB or Pakistan so any even here in Sub-Continent without India is not possible even never happy Asia Cup played in Pakistan so currently talking about any thing related to this is just waste of time.

You mention good point if PCB do some home work then surely they can manage WC event with the help of BAN-SL because these three countries have enough gounds and other structure and India can go alone for this all in future but sadly here we have too much politinal involved so this is also just dream which is very hard to come true.

The way i look from outside, it seems to me that PCB lacks leadership and its same with the team captaincy or coaching department. PCB needs to appoints capable administrators, Corruption free department is myth and its apply of every cricket board but at least do some kind of work towards your own country's interest too..

^^^^ Well.. there have been no major terror attacks in Pakistan for quite sometime now and recently they managed to host the entire PSL tournament within Pakistan. There have been successful tours by Bangladesh and Sri Lanka recently. Participation of India is the big question. But if Pakistan is certified as safe enough to host the major tournaments, then the ICC should give them a chance. A good way to start would be with U-19 World Cup or the Asia Cup.

@Vishnu.Reang You are absolutely right main thing was they was checking what is response from peoples and can they manage big events like this and they already pass in both ways so now there is no problem about these last 3 matches they can done any time when we all will be normal in near future.

If they can manage major tournaments, then the financial difficulty which they are facing now will vanish. I can't even remember the last major ICC tournament which was hosted by Pakistan. They can at least bid for regional tournaments such as the Asia Cup. Hosting the PSL was a major success, but we need to remember that it is still a franchise-level tournament. Hosting a multi-national tournament would take them to another level.

@Vishnu.Reang there’s no way that Pakistan will ever get a chance to host a big international tournament at least not in the next few years because of the terrorist attacks, and another reason why it’s not possible is because many countries will not send their best playing 11 there, which may lead to empty stadiums and potential revenue loss. Furthermore as far as the Asia cup is concerned after India objected to travel to Pakistan it was shifted to a neutral venue so both India and Pakistan could participate in it.

Locked down surely going to extend as cases increasing and peoples not taking this all seriously because domesticly we have many issues which are also need some good intention from us.
Sub-continent is filled with Stupid peoples be it India or Pakistan both are same in this manner, Its the poor people who gets the heat always and get rekt.

For sure the numbers are going to increase a lot in the coming weeks because now only India invented their own test kit which is cost effective and less time consuming than the before used kits so governments will test the people who have mild symptoms as well from now on.
Yeah, and cost effective ventilators -Portable and single use ventilators for 5-8 peoples- Including IITs and Industry trying to build cheap ($100) bag valve mask alternate to ventilators too, if its successful then Indians can produce millions of ventilators too, which India needs very badly.

While, BCCI is desperate to find a window to host the entire IPL (49+ matches) in August - September, PCB is finding it hard to complete the PSL 2020 playoffs (4-5 matches)  Tongue Looks like they are in a state of uncertainty whether to postpone the playoffs to November or declare Multan Sultans as the winners as per the Play Rules.

Source: https://www.republicworld.com/sports-news/cricket-news/psl-2020-unlikely-to-be-completed-this-year-due-to-coronavirus-crisis.html

If I am not wrong, then only 3 matches remained in the PSL before it was suspended due to the COVID 19 outbreak. But I watched most of the group stage matches live on DSPORT and I have to say that the matches were of very high quality. I would say they were more of IPL-BBL level, rather than BPL-Super Smash level. The crowd response was really good and the foreign players performed well. They should not worry too much about the remaining three matches. What they achieved was phenomenal.

Meanwhile BCCI planning to organise IPL between August and September. This show their desperation.
Tough time for India and world, Free time for BCCI officials and they are keeping themselves busy with this, good for them if it happens.

Atm situation is not looking good and I have a feeling that lock-down might extend.
