Did anyone noticed the latest T20 ranking from ICC? Pakistan is still on top with 270 points from 31 matches. Australia is close behind with 269 points (difference of just 1 point). The good thing for Pakistan is that Australia doesn't have any T20 matches scheduled for the remainder of 2019. Their next T20 match is scheduled on 21st February 2020. So I guess Pakistan's top spot is quite safe, at least for the next 2-3 months.

I wouldn't say that NZ performed poorly. They were just outperformed by the ENG. Even if you bowl well and get thrashed for boundaries by both Morgan and Malan for a few overs, the morale of the bowlers will automatically drop. That's what happened in the match. And for chasing such a massive total of 241 runs, you'll have to score around 12 runs per over. That's not easily achievable, you have to score consistently and look for boundaries. So the NZ batsmen had no choice but to go for big shots and eventually lost their wickets. I would say that NZ went down with a fight.

Whenever the team crosses 200, the blame goes to the bowlers and I can see Mitchell giving 25 runs in that one over which is dangerous in T20. After performing well in 2 T20s, this loss was quite big. Also most batsmen were taking risks hitting the ball high and then getting caught. They should have played better when they came to the ground to chase such a huge total. I have seen such big matches where some teams don't give up till the last moment but it seems NZ had already thought they were losing.

Playing against Australia in Australia is never going to be easy. Pakistan is having a young team, and it takes some time to get the necessary team bonding and cohesion. They still have two weeks to go for the first test. Hopefully the bowlers will be fit by that time and the batsmen will get adjusted to the conditions. And before that there are two warmup matches.
It is a challenge to play in Australia and the young Pakistan team must take some time to cope up with the pitch condition and weather and what i am expecting in the upcoming test series is that Steve Smith scoring a ton in every innings he plays and he keeps on improving his average, Amir retired from Test cricket and the bowlers are not experienced in the test format.

There are ups and downs in everyone's life. Steve Smith had a horrible year in 2018, when he was banned from all international and domestic cricket in Australia for twelve months. A lot of people wrote him off, and many were saying that his international career was over. What happened after the ban is history. He single-handedly retained the Ashes series for Australia, by destroying the Brits at their home. I can't help thinking about what he could have achieved during those 12 months.

Mohammad Amir went through the same phase many years ago. His case was even worse. Back in 2010, he was not only banned, but arrested as well. He was convicted of spot-fixing and was given a five-year ban. Similar to Steve Smith, he too stayed out of cricket during his ban, but came back very strongly after that. For any other player, a five year hiatus would have meant an end to their career. But Amir had that fighting spirit in him. I hope the younger Pakistani players also show the fighting spirit that was shown by Amir.

Depends on squad. I think it is perfect opportunity to try new players since they have already won the series. I am sure Pakistan today will try to win at least one of it. Last time no one except Azam were able to score. This time I am expecting someone to hang on with him and score some good runs.

Their bowlers did quite well to pick quick wickets of their openers. Smith is the biggest hurdle for them. Even if they are able to pick openers wicket , Smith will take the responsibility and we know how good he is at that ( Ashes    Roll Eyes Cheesy).

They didn't win the series yet. The 1st match was abandoned and the second one was won by AUS, so they are just in lead and have to win this match to win the series. But since 107 is the target set by Pak for AUS, I think they'll win this series easily. They are already 45 in 5 overs.

Apologize for that. It was a nice win for Australia and they were dominated the whole series except for the Game 1 which was washed by rain but still if rain didn't hit that match then Australia would have won easily (their explosive batsman were still on crease and it wasn't that big score for Australia to chase). Finch was seen not happy with the long break otherwise Australia would have won  Cheesy

Totally one sided match it was just no competition at all from Pakistan as they are world class team but this type of losing does not help the audiences or the board as well. On other hand OZ continue their domainance in this series .
Pakistan is playing with a new time and it will take time to gel together and with experience they might perform better, they need to find young talents and they have PSL and that will give them more opportunities to find young talents because IPL gave a platform for many young talents to showcase their talents and majority of the performers are in the national team.

Again Pakistan top-order batting lineup field to give a good start I thought that Pakistan will give a good fight to Australia but they are now 69/4 in 12 overs so it shows today also Australia will be going to beat Pakistan very easy with 2-0 series win.

Big Positive : Pakistan at least touched the 100 Mark...... ICC ranking looks silly with recent performance of Pakistan.
Pakistan was smart enough to reject an half century for David Warner by giving Australia a low total to chase  Cheesy, another white wash defeat for Pakistan even if they changed the team that got defeated by Sri Lanka and it is interesting to see how the cricket board will take this defeat and whether they will shuffle the team again. Ranking is always a joke and the only team that dominated cricket when they were number 1 was Australia and they won many world cups, reaching the top is great but to stay there for a long period is hard.

Actually ICC are planing to introduce new ranking i.e Most White Wash in Cricket and Pakistan are already preparing for it to Top it.  Tongue

On serious note, Is Pakistani missing the Sarfraz in the team ?
This is a big loss for Pakistan. The team that tops the points table losing consecutive matches shows the inefficiency of the team. Among three matches two match scores didn't crossed 110 runs. Even if Sarfraz was there, the match score could've got a little higher. Something is missing in the team, it needs to be analysed and found at the earliest.

Every expected a result like this as Pakistan is struggling for a long time and if he got defeated by a young Sri Lankan team then there is no way they can be competitive against Australia while touring and they lost all the matches by a huge margin and they never dominated in this series, so both the matches today were one handed England defeated New Zealand easily and so does Australia.
Snip~~
But it is wrong to blame the bowlers. The batsmen had only put around 100 runs, and this put a lot of pressure on the inexperienced bowlers.

Yes, we should not blame the bowlers today. It is true that today no one has taken any wicket. And that confidence was lost on the bowlers when their batsmen lost all wickets/overs to score a hundred. It is really a season for Pakistan.

This kind of performance is really ignominious for Pakistan

Today's result was expected, but I was surprised with the margin of defeat. The Pakistani selectors had done the right thing, by inducting young bowlers such as Muhammad Musa and Mohammad Hasnain in to the playing XI (in the place of Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Irfan). They failed today, but I am of the opinion that eventually they will prove successful and they deserve more chances in the senior side.

But it is wrong to blame the bowlers. The batsmen had only put around 100 runs, and this put a lot of pressure on the inexperienced bowlers. Even Babar Azam failed today, after hitting two consecutive half-centuries during the previous matches. Apart from Musa, Khushdil Shah also made his debut today. He is another exciting prospect from the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Wow. Insane result. Finch and Warner finished the match so damn quickly that they could even chase down something like 200 due to their run rate. Australia is in another league when compared to Pakistan at the moment.

Iftikhar is the only batsman who continues playing sensibly while the rest are out of form. Pakistan barely escaped a 3-0 whitewash and settled with a 2-0 whitewash instead.

The Eng vs NZ match is a crazy one. NZ won't be able to chase down 241 runs and have already lost 9 wickets in the chase. Very poor performance by NZ bowlers and not one batsman managed 50+ runs. England completely overpowered them.

Required run rate has gone over 14 and overs are still 10 left. It's unlikely that NZ will be able to make a comeback now. Game is done now since all left are bowlers now. Consider England emerging as winners of this game.
The match is almost over, New Zealand started well and still they are having a good run rate but they lost all their wickets as it is not easy to chase a huge target like this and with the win England will level the series and the experiment worked as they got a new explosive batsman in DJ Malan and i was surprised to see a wrist spinner in Parkinson even though he went for runs he took 4 wickets and with time he will improve.
