The 7th wicket partnership between Shakib Al Hasan and Mosaddek Hossain rescued Bangladesh. Afghanistan was so close to victory, but as usual they let off the pressure at a crucial situation. The turning point was the 18th over, in which Rashid Khan conceded 18 runs. That changed the course if the match, as before the start of that over Bangladesh needed 27 runs from 3 overs.

If you closely analysis the match, it is Afghanistan who dominated in batting and bowling first and then lost their way.
They started well with the bat but did not bat the last 10 overs well and resulted in giving a small total to the Bangladesh. Again the Afghanistan bowled well in the beginning but could not break the middle lower order batsmen partnerships and hence lost the match.

Bangladesh needs to perform as team. They are heavily depending on Shakib which is not good. Not every day he can save them and perform. Anyway, it was a good win for Bangladesh which should boost some of their confidence for the final.

As long as Shakib Al Hasan is in the crease Bangladesh is going to win this match, Rashid Khan does need to come up with a magical over to defeat them.
Yes, he did  Cheesy
It's again Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh is depending on this man for a long time. The worst is our top order, if we get manage to have good top order, I think Bangladesh wwould be great team.
Tamim, Soumyo, Liton, Mithun, no one could give us a perfect combo. I can't remember when I last saw a good top order scoring from Bangladesh. However, there's no way to deny that so far Tamim was the best top order in Bangladesh team. I'm not saying calling him back, lol. He don't deserve it.

Man of the moments of todays match is Shakib Al Hasan. Really this is a amazing performance by Shakib. Just Bangladesh have won the match by 4 wickets and 6  balls remain. Rashid khan give 18 runs at 18 overs and after 18 overs the match go very easy for Bangladesh.

Shakib Al Hasan just smashed Rashid Khan and now they are nearing the target, they need to restrict the runs and pick a couple of wickets now to put pressure on Bangladesh which is highly unlikely.

All of a sudden, the match has become interesting. Bangladesh lost some quick wickets to the pace/spin combo of Naveen-ul-Haq/Rashid Khan and they are now struggling at 105/6 after 16 overs. They need 34 runs from 24 balls, with 4 wickets in hand. Rashid seems to be in splendid form, and he has got two overs remaining. Naveen-ul-Haq is left with one over. This is going to be tight!!!

Almost the same thing happened during their previous match as well (against Zimbabwe). Bangladesh will win this match, if no miracles occur.
Bangladesh already lost two wickets and you do not need any miracle if they keep on loosing wickets at regular intervals  Wink, since it is a small target and if they can play carefully it is an easy target to chase. The tactics they will be using is to keep the last 4 over at the end for Rashid Khan to operate and to contain the run rate in the beginning and if they loose wickets now it will be difficult to attack Rashid Khan in the end.

Great come back by Bangladesh so far. I think Bangladesh have the chance to win the match easily unless a huge disaster comes in batting line. Hopefully it will not.

I think you are wrong. Bangladesh has already lost 2 wickets. I think this was the disaster which you were fearing from the Bangladeshi team ?

The target is not so big so they can still manage to win if they are able to get a partnership between Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim.

I can not think that why Bangladesh can not keep alive long their Top order bat man's.  Always they lost first 2-3 wickets so quickly. I think for this reason Bangladesh can not run their winning journey for long time. Todays target is not high. So there is a chance to win the match. But Musfiqur Rahim and Sakib Al hasan will failed again in short time period. Then Bangladesh will loss this match IMO.

Very poor performance by the Afghan batsmen. As usual, they wasted a good start. From 75/0 in 9 overs, they slumped to 138/7 in 20 overs. During the last 11 overs, they managed to score only 63 runs at a loss of 7 wickets. Almost the same thing happened during their previous match as well (against Zimbabwe). Bangladesh will win this match, if no miracles occur.

These are the minimum wages which you mentioned. It means that majority of the people will be earning much more than that. I do agree that it has something to do with the developed and underdeveloped nations and the currency conversion value with respect to dollars.
Maybe not for the locals but if any foreigner from developed country visit there, then he can buy the entertainment for cheap.  Smiley

No, they do not. In reality they earn much more lesser amount than that. If you ever go to those countries then you will see how many homeless sleeps on the predestine area, railway station, parks and other places.

Even in first world, I wonder how many people get paid by the minimum wages? People who works for cash in hand, in some cases they ends up getting half of the legal hour rate.

Not sure which country you are from but I have friends and family through out the Europe/United Kingdom, I do visit there often. I hang up with some of the community and what I am saying is pretty much true for that community.

Those who are smart and do not work for money they actually making good money.

You are 100% right here. There are so many jobless people who are willing to work well under the minimum wages and yet they still could not find a good job for them. Then there are people who live luxury life and they own more than what they need to live and keep a major portion of their saving in the bank accounts. The poor are becoming more poorer and rich are becoming more richer with every passing day.

Well, leave it as this is a cricket discussion topic and not a discussion on economic condition of the country.

Coming back to the match today, i think the AFG are looking good  to win today's match as they are batting on the average of 8 runs per over with the score of 80/2 in 10 overs.

3$ to watch an International match. That's super cheap. The average starting price in our country ranges from 15- 30 dollars. You people are extremely lucky to get so much cheap entertainment.  Smiley

Lucky indeed but you need to consider the average income there too and the buying power for the regular people.

UK minimum wage £8.21 per hour
France €10.03 per hour
Germany €9.19 per hour

In south Asia...
India ₹375 per day which is $5.27 per day! Source

Bangladesh:
The legal minimum wage for garment workers in the country is 8,000 taka (£73.85) a month

Pakistan:
the Federal Government has raised the minimum wage to Rs. 15000 per month ($150) for the working class in the country.

Sri Lanka:
the national minimum daily wage of a worker is set as 400 (four hundred) rupees.

^^
It feels sad to see all these number and living standard. Paying $3 for entertainment is a luxury there. Sorry mate you were so wrong.

My one and only entertainment for today, Bangladesh vs Afghanistan :-P
After winning the toss Bangladesh decided to field first. This is a kind of rehearsal match for both these teams before the final.

By the way @Little Mouse, how much does it cost in Bangladesh to have a ticket?

Tickets are now on sale for the PAK SRI series. If you want to come to Pakistan and watch the matches live, please see the details in this link.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.52514892

Very surprising. Most of the tickets are priced around $3. Ideally PCB should be looking to collect as much revenue as possible and reduce the crowd in the stadiums. They are doing the opposite. Rather than making the tickets expensive, they are giving them out at very cheap rates. This will increase the crowd and make it difficult to manage them. While I was visiting India, once I attended an IPL match. The cheapest tickets were priced at around $15.

So you want the that they should increase the tickets price so no one should come in stadium.   Cheesy
How will they collect revenue if people decide not to buy tickets because of expensive prices. I think this low price ticket system is better one as PCB will collect the revenue and also we will see fully packed crowds.
And i would suggest you to visit Pakistan too and watch/enjoy the matches in 3 dollars only.
$3 = more than 350 Pak rupee, so it's not that much cheap I think if we account the current situation of Pakistan Cricket, after a long time, international match is going to be lived at Pakistan. I think price is okay. Once they get settled, price can be changed.
It's better to get more crowd with cheap price than less crowd with expensive. In our country, generally the normal tickets are priced around $3 as well if I'm correct. Little Mouse may give us some light on it.

Pant has some good batting potential in him. If he isn't so recklessly losing his wickets then he would be a better replacement for Dhoni
I guess Dhoni's replacement isn't possible. Can you remember his early days? How he did perform fearlessly against each country? Pant no doubt is a good batsman, he may get a great future in the Indian team if he can get out of his mistakes but being a replacement of Dhoni is somewhat different.
I can't see anyone replacement for Dhoni at the moment.

India has a very large player pool unlike the nations such as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It is not very difficult to replace Dhoni. If Rishabh Pant is not performing well, then a number of other players are available at the moment, including Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson. I wouldn't consider Dinesh Karthik, given his age and recent poor form. KL Rahul is another choice, but he is also not in good form currently.

It was a great win for Zimbabwe, it could not be a much better day for Masakadza, very few players get this type od last match. He was a great asset for Zimbabwe team, I think they will now be in more trouble.
Did anyone predicted Zimbabwe to fight hard to give a farewell like that for Masakadza, i really never thought like that as it was not logical, i was seeing all their interview that they will try hard to win the match anyhow and i was thinking, if they have the confidence to win then why not apply all the time and i was betting on Afghanistan to win because of their bowling and i was wrong big time and lost a bit of money  Sad.
No more prediction and betting in T20s.
