Melbourne Renegades won by 2 wickets Against Perth Scorchers. MLR won the toss and opted to Bowl first. PRS made 143-8 runs Where they did poor start up. Opener Finn Allen lost his wicket without scoring any single run. And rest of Players scored lower amount of runs. Cooper Connolly(66) was the one who showed decent performance and scored a half century alone. Tom Rogers took three wickets behalf of MLR. On the other side, MLR seems dedicated enough and that's why they were giving effort to collect more runs from beginning and that's why their opener batsman lost their wickets without excepted runs. But Tim Seifert, Jacob Bethell gave their good efforts and able to collected decent runs with good Strike rate. And at the end of the day, MLR won the match and currently standing at the top in the qualifying table. Although some teams like sydney sixers, brisbane heat still have a Match in their hand and they can afford to replace MLR easily
Melbourne Renegades look in the best of form. After losing their very first match against the Sydney Sixers, they have won their last two matches, the most recent one against Perth Scorchers.
Melbourne Renegades won this match by 2 runs. They chased 144 runs in 19th over but i thought they lost way too many wickets in the chase. The openers weren't able to provide a better start, it was only the middle order that played better and formed some sort of partnerships. Tim Seifert made a quick 28 runs in 14 balls. Jacob Bethell also played a responsible innings of 30 runs in the context of this match.
I would say that Melbourne Renegades won against Perth because of the controlled bowling of their bowlers. Especially Fergus O'Neill and Tom Rogers bowled well in this match. Tom Rogers took three wickets for just 22 runs. However, Richardson and Adam Zampa gave a lot of runs in this match. Perth gave a target of only 144 runs. This is not a big target on this pitch. Even then, if Perth Scorchers gave a target of 160+, the match would have been more competitive.
Melbourne Renegades two openers did not play well. However, Melbourne Renegades won the match due to the responsible batting of the three middle order batsmen. Tim Seifert scored 28 runs in 14 balls, Jacob Bethell scored 30 runs in 22 balls and Laurie Evans scored 24 runs in 18 balls.
