After showing great dominance in the ODI series, India lost in the first match of the T20 series. The main reason for India's defeat in today's match is the failure of their top order. Had the top order batsmen performed well they could have won today's match. India lost three valuable wickets to score just 15 runs. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav and Washington Sundar, no other Indian batsman can play well. If India had got 40-50 runs from the first three batsmen of the top order, they would have been able to win this match. In the T20 format, if the top order does not perform well, it becomes difficult to win the match.

India's condition is not good. They went into bat with a target of 177 runs. I thought that since the Indian batsmen are in good form now, they will not have any problem winning this match. But they lost three wickets for just 15 runs. And right now they have collected 89 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 12.2 overs. India needs 88 runs off 46 balls to win. If Washington Sundar and Deepak Hooda can't build a big partnership then India won't win this match. Maybe New Zealand will win the T20 series after a bad ODI series loss.

I missed this match, but watched the semi between England and Australia which was a low scoring affair. England struggled to reach 99 runs and i was expecting Australia to win the match even though they struggled against smaller teams in this tournament but they failed to reach the target and England won the match by 3 runs.

India will be the heavy favorite coming into the final and i am not expecting any upset.

India was bowling well till the 17th over and was on top but Daryl Mitchell took the Indian bowlers apart in the final overs to set a target of 176 runs and still i thought it was an easy target for India but they already lost the top 3 wickets and odds changed drastically and as long as Suryakumar Yadav is in the crease, India will be able to chase this total.

So far I see New Zealand's chances to win. New Zealand have managed to set a fairly good target and India have already lost 3 wickets. If New Zealand can pick up some more wickets in 3 to 4 overs, New Zealand can be expected to win.

Indian chose to field because they know they can easily compete any big target , just they have to focus on their bowling side in which they did good . After 16 overs Newzealand is on 131 runs with 3 wickets gone , this is good performance by them but for India this is a really easy target .

Indian bowlers were in good shape and not allowed Kiwis for having freely batting throughout their inning, but last over give some momentum to them, and they were able to have target like this even this is still achievable, but now we need some good effort from the Indian batting lineup as well because in this short format anything is possible so two or three good balls can change the match situation quickly but still I have feeling India will win this match without any trouble because right now they have disciplined batting line up and all are doing good job in last few weeks in both formats.

Just India started their inning and after the end of first over we have five runs on board which is good sign because always having boundary in first over is good for the batsman and batting side in chase.
