Today 2nd Match of Galle Titans vs Dambulla Aura team has already started.Galle Titans came to bat first.Given a target of 180 runs in 20 overs.Galle Titans made the right runs to win the runs.Now if Galle Titans perform well in the bowling line. Galle Titans team batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa is out for 48 runs off 34 balls. Bhanuka Rajapaksa has done well in batting. Dambulla Aura will come out to bat after a little while. Secondly, the World Cup is being played in the USA. So making the World Cup more competitive and one of the biggest is certainly going to bring in a good amount of money.
You cannot expect a competitive World Cup with 20 teams who does not have the skill level anywhere near to compete against the top 5 teams. The venue is US and the only country that does not have a fan base for Football and Cricket and may be ICC is trying their best to tap that part of the market. There is a newfound interest in Football and Cricket among the general public in US after lockdown as many popular social media influencers from US started posting about the sport and reviewing the videos.Secondly, the World Cup is being played in the USA. So making the World Cup more competitive and one of the biggest is certainly going to bring in a good amount of money.

Therefore many of the associate nations try to bring in first class players from India and Pakistan, so that they can compete well in these tournaments. Take Danmark for example. Two decades ago, they were one of the strongest associate sides and almost the entire squad was native. Now there is hardly 1-2 natives in their squad. However Italy surprised everyone this time. Their squad is almost 90% native.
Its unfortunate that cricket has been made joke by rich countries who can afford importing players from South Asia. ICC still is not clear about how to manage cricket and run the affairs. Anyone who has money can take driving seat in ICC. Right now ICC is completely controlled by big 3 and small boards have no say in ICC affairs. As long as there is no neutral entity that is controlling ICC we will keep on seeing such issues and there will be no one to resolve these issues.

I am certainly hoping to see some good upset matches being made in this World Cup. remember when the last time a lot of teams competed in the World Cup? It was the 2007 ODI World Cup. And a lot of things that are really weak in power were actually able to beat some very powerful teams in the World Cup. So I am expecting something like that to happen in this World Cup as well. I am not saying every match is going to be competitive.
I think we all know that in any match that the USA team is going to play, it’s basically going to be a free win for The other team. But it will certainly be interesting if a team like Scotland or some associate team actually ends up beating a team like India or England. I also want to say that for a long time, we have been seeing not enough number of teams in the World Cup. At least that is being fixed. So let’s just not complain about it and see what happens.

I was a bit surprised to see Babar Azam not given captaincy of Colombo Strikers instead Niroshan Dickwella was given captaincy. I also don't know why Vijayakanth Viyaskanth was given man of the match for his 2 wicket spell when Towhid Hridoy has scored a blistering half century on just 39 balls. Its a good start from Jaffna Kings after getting victory by 21 runs.

From this list,I had some opinion who will qualify the quarter and semifinal.If United States had their entry to the game,it will be some new game to view.United States will start their cricket carrier from this World Cup.Mostly the US will not be included,So we wait and see.West Indies was very eager to win the World Cup this time,because they are not entire the World Cup semifinal for a long period.
So West Indies had huge pressure to satisfy their own people.Australia also had the same pressure,because in 2019 Australia never qualify for the finals.So being the top team,they will enter the Semi Finals this time.Since England was the winner of 2019,So they will enter the Semifinal.India hosting the World Cup this time,So they will be the third team to enter the Semifinal.South Africa will be the Fourth team to enter the Semifinal.Actually the fourth place will be fight between South Africa and New Zealand.

Well actually, it is good to see the ICC at least making a World Cup with 20 teams. Personally, I concur with the notion that designating the United States as the host nation is truly their sole avenue for World Cup qualification. I think this World Cup is going to be played by 20 teams for two reasons.
First of all look who is getting a free pass to the World Cup. If it was anything less than 20 teams in the World Cup, a lot of teams were going to miss out who are actually far better than USA in cricket. I still think that somethings are better compared to the USA who are not playing in the World Cup, but that’s another story.
Secondly, the World Cup is being played in the USA. So making the World Cup more competitive and one of the biggest is certainly going to bring in a good amount of money.

The ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Region Qualifier is exposing the vast difference in capabilities between the top two sides (Scotland and Ireland) and others. None of the lower ranking associates have been able to challenge these two teams, and they are winning by huge margins. Yesterday, Scotland won against Italy by a margin of 155 runs (and Italy was regarded as one of the decent sides participating in this tournament), while Ireland blasted out Jersey with a 9 wicket win with 10 overs to spare. It is almost confirmed by now that Ireland and Scotland would qualify for the world cup.
Ireland played 4 matches in this ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Region Qualifier matches and they won all the matches so Ireland is leading with 8 points. On the other hand Scotland played 3 matches and they also won all 3 matches and Scotland is on second position with 6 points. And today is the fourth match of Scotland with Austria and I am sure about that Scotland will win because Austria has lost all of their matches in this league. So definitely Scotland and Ireland will qualify for the world cup.

I know that we have actually discussed the issue before. But I also know that this is going to be discussed as long as the ICC does not take any actual serious actions against it. It does not matter how the fund is getting distributed. A team, a national team simply cannot have foreign players in the squad at all.

If ICC actually did something about having lots of foreign players in the national team, I believe a lot of countries could have already found native players who are actually talented. But ICC is not going to do that are they?

Scottland has gone batted and given a target of 232 runs.It is a very tough target on Austria. Scottland is a very strong and experienced team.Sportland performance in T20 matches is going very well.If Look Scotland previous match against Germany.So Scottland had given a target of 200 plus even then.Austria has made 26 run in 8 overs. Looking at the performance of Austria, it seems that Pakistan will not be able to make 100 run.
