Namibia just threw away a win yesterday. They had a golden opportunity to get another win against a full member nation (they had won the first T20I match in the series), but ended up losing by a whisker. Batting first, they failed to get the psychologically important barrier of 200, and fell short at 198/3. Nikolaas Davin and Gerhard Erasmus failed to completely capitalize on the good start given by Michael van Lingen. And while bowling, for some unknown reason the Namibian captain refused to give JJ Smit (2-0-16-1) the full quota of 4 overs and instead used the expensive Tangeni Lungameni (4-0-45-0).

Hong Kong done a good job, they were aggressive from start of the game but later after first dismissal thier opener take charge to not allow have a pressure dominance over them and due to such tactics they able to scored a big target, I taught just like previous thier opener captain waseem will took charge and will scored century to make things easy for his team but I observed from recent few matches that he is totally off colour and his team is totally dependent on him and his early dismissal in such match has lower thier confidence and as a result they unable to chased a 200+ target Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates are playing 6th match. Zimbabwe has delivered a brilliant result with help of thier one man army sikander who had played with a strike rate of 234 till end and hit a spectacular 9 sixes and won an important second match of the series.
@Cheema02 what an horrible performance from the Zimbabwean team and it’s really annoying to see them fall so low but luckily I didn’t wager on this match otherwise would have totally regretted my decision to trust them. Furthermore I feel that people are right about them that they just can’t play competitive cricket anymore like they used to and lastly Namibia deserves lots of praises for this solid performance.
LOL.. It is funny to see so many people getting upset that Zimbabwe lost to Namibia. If you had followed cricket in both these countries recently, the outcome will not be surprising for you. For the last decade or so, Zimbabwe has struggled to win against associate nations (I am not talking about top-tier associates such as Scotland and Netherlands, but about middle-tier teams such as Namibia and Nepal). On the other hand, Namibian cricket is on the rise and during the last T20 World Cup, they managed to put up an amazing performance. Veteran Sikandar Raza was the hero for the Zimbabwe as he smashed 18 runs in last over for the win of his team Sikandar Raza hits 82 runs on just 35 balls with the 9 sixes which is really amazing stuff from him for the Zimbabwe now we will have third match of this 5 matches series on Friday.

T20 is an unpredictable game where chasing a big target becomes difficult for many. The United Arab Emirates team could not chase Hong Kong's big score in today's match. Hong Kong team managed to score 212 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets after batting 20 overs but were completely outclassed by the UAE. They could not build any big partnership which was their biggest failure. One hand they could not hold the fall of wickets on the other hand could not adjust ball and runs. UAE could not play anything as per the requirement of how to play against a big target. 
I guess the final is going to be between United Arab Emirates and Nepal. Because Hong Kong's net run rate is too low and even if they win by 100 runs or so, that won't be enough for them to overtake the UAE in points table. Anyway, Hong Kong never looked like the team they were a few years ago. The loss of Mark Chapman to New Zealand was a devastating blow for them (similar to the case of Singapore who lost Tim David). And also, it proves that teams that give no attention to native players can't perform well in a consistent manner.

An associate nation defeated a full member and still it didn't came as a surprise. The only surprise is that Zimbabwe receives around 50x more funding when compared to Namibia from the ICC. There is no logic in keeping Zimbabwe as a full member, when they can't even compete against teams like Namibia. And it is unfair for teams like Namibia that Zimbabwe is given such a huge priority in fund allocation. And from next year onward, Zimbabwe is likely to receive $17.64 million per year in funds, while the share for Namibia will remain at somewhere around $250,000.
