Most of the young players of Bangladesh might've got inspired by him. As we say Tendulkar as the God of cricket, Shakib Al Hasan is a person who had to be praised for what he had done for the Bangladesh cricket. There'll be issues between the players and the cricket board. His ban for the reason of making deal with a gambling firm have received warnings earlier. As said by @Sithara007 here we can't blame anyone. He's near his retirement, before retiring he needs to be given opportunity in all formats of cricket.
The one-year ban handed out to him was unfair, IMO. There is a lot of involvement from bookies in the IPL, and even franchise owners were involved in fixing matches. But in the end, only two people got punishment for their role - Sreesanth and Shakib. And no proof was found against these two players and they were acquitted by the court. During the investment process, BCB never offered any sort of support for Shakib. Anyway, now he is well past his prime and the management need to make sure that younger players are able to replace him in the near future.
@Sithara007 I’m not surprised that BCB didn’t offer him any support but yet he kept his cool and decided to play for his country which is commendable. Furthermore you’re right BCB should start moulding player’s who can learn from him while he’s around and then replace him when he retires which I believe will be pretty soon as I doubt he can continue for more then a year or two.
