I've tried with the streaming on Facebook. The page keeps on redirecting and finally unable to find the streaming. I used to watch the scores, today we've got the match between UAE and Oman. The toss is over, Oman have won the toss and chosen to bowl. Gulf countries have progressed and taken better place. The players are mostly from Pakistan, India and Afghanistan. Atleast the country is represented and over time we can experience better participation from the local players/native citizens.
UAE team participated in 1996 world cup and with there approach of making team with expats they are unable to acquire any major place in international cricket. There is no interest of cricket among local players and players on work visa are playing in national cricket team of gulf countries. The downside of this approach is that ICC pays more to gulf countries and ignore countries with native players like Nepal.

All 6 teams are supposed to have local players in there playing 11 but they have included players mostly from south asia. In this match Kuwait won by 5 wickets against Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia scored 142 runs in loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Faisal Khan played a good inning of 62 runs in 42 balls. While Kuwait chased down the target in 143 runs in 18.3 overs by losing 5 wickets. Kuwait batsman Ravija Sandaruwan also scored a well-deserved fifty 58 runs in 17 balls and Meet Bhavsar also played a good inning and helped his team to win the match against Saudi Arabia. What is this Gulf T20 series? I never heard of it and no one even discussed it on this thread. Upon checking on Cricinfo, i found it is a tournament where unpopular Gulf teams are having their T20 tournament.

There has been some changes to the schedule in Asian Games cricket tournament. Previously, Mongolia was scheduled to play against Afghanistan in a knockout match, but now they have been included in Group A along with Maldives and Nepal. Group B is comprised of Cambodia, Hong Kong and Japan, while Group C comprises of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. There is some confusion related to Afghanistan, while the other four full-members have been granted direct entry to the quarter-finals. It looks as if Afghanistan may also get direct entry, although it is not confirmed.

I am definitely not going to say that a bad job was done by Dravid. India has a lot of players who can replace anyone at any given moment. So India should not fall into the trap of nepotism and favoritism. And it is never a good decision to play your own player, even when they are performing poorly and you have other players waiting for a chance. So not giving the Players total control over the selection is definitely a good decision.

A few days back, a well decorated Indian army officer (Major Pawan Kumar) criticized Kohli for meeting with Pakistani players at a time when 3 of the soldiers got martyred during an incident in Kashmir. Fans of Kohli descended on his social media handles soon after, flooding them with hate messages. When this can happen to an army officer, you can imagine what will happen to someone like Dravid if he goes against Kohli.

Furthermore do you think that BCCI is grooming Laxman to takeover from Dravid because he’ll be the coach for the Indian team in this tournament, and I also feel that player’s who perform here well could be considered for future selection’s if anyone from the starting 11 of team India (T20 team) starts to underperform.

Lankan women should be proud of their performance. They were up against overwhelming odds, and yet they managed to put up a credible performance. Meanwhile England women need to introspect. The ODI series will start from tomorrow and now they need to win at least this series. England batting proved very brittle against Sri Lanka. In the first match they managed a total of 186, but in the next two matches they barely made it to three figures. And it is perplexing, given the number of experienced players they had in the squad.
In second and third T20 SL women team where able to bowl out English team before there allocated 20 overs. This tells the story that SL bowling is improving. Women cricket for decades is dominated by English, Aussies and NZ teams. But now teams like SA and SL are also coming up and showing some good play.
