I have to say that the hat trick in the last over from Karim Janat was not because he was balling incredibly well. It was because the Bangladesh batsmen were not playing good shots. I agree that Miraz got out on a decent ball. And it was still a bad shot. Baskin got out, chasing a literally wide ball. Nasum got out trying to uppercut and didn’t connect properly. Luckily, Shoriful was able to hit the ball for four and win the match for Bangladesh. I was actually a little afraid when I saw this message going to the tailenders of Bangladesh. And, in the end, Bangladesh was able to win.

The way Afghanistan started their innings I thought they would end their innings by 130. But they managed to set a decent target of 155 runs. I would say the performance of the Afghanistan batsmen was quite good. Had Rashid Khan batted a little better, Afghanistan could have given a target of 170.
Bangladesh could not start their innings well. But in the end, they won. Azmatullah Omarzai batted well. He scored 33 runs. However, Afghanistan did not get better bowling from Azmatullah. He gave 34 runs in 3 overs. This is also one of the reasons for Afghanistan's defeat.

The match was already in Afghanistan's favor during the first half of the second innings, but they didn't take the advantage of that. While, Bangladesh deserved this victory due to the exceptional performance of their middle-order. The partnership of 73 runs between Towhid Hridoy and Shamim Hossain played an important role to get the win. In the 20th over, Karim Janat nearly clinched the match with a hat-trick, but Shoriful Islam's boundary in the last over turned the tables and helped Bangladesh win first T20I in last over drama. Congratulations to Bangladesh team.

Bangladesh were under a lot of pressure heading into the last as the fall of wickets almost engulfed Bangladesh. As luck would have it, Towhid Hridyo Hridyo did not allow Hridyo to make it to a half-century that was struck by Shariful Islam for a boundary. If Tauhid could have taken heart from these four runs, he would have taken the place of the half-century. This was the first T20 match Bangladesh won but it was a very competitive match. However, if Roni Talukder and Nazmul Hasan Shanto could have collected some more runs, then Bangladesh would not have to face so much pressure towards the last over. Meanwhile, Afghanistan put in a very good bowling performance to clinch their win.

It was really interesting that Shoriful Islam's boundary off the bat won the match after Bangladesh batsman Nasum Ahmed was dismissed at the last minute.Bangladesh was careless in the ODI series and the same had costed them big to experience an unforgettable loss of series. Now they're very careful and played the match in a well planned manner amidst the wickets falling at regular intervals. Afghanistan is really good at its performance, and no down to Bangladesh is batting and bowling. Close fight and Bangladesh won the match, maybe the next match can go into the hands of Afghanistan if this kind of game continues.

Anyone following the Major League Cricket? Today we had an excellent match between San Francisco Unicorns and MI New York, which was won by the former. Corey Anderson (now an American citizen) blasted 91 from 52 balls for SFU, ably supported by Shadab Khan with a 30-ball 61. For MI New York, Trent Boult and Kagiso Rabada picked up 2 wickets apiece, but the local (American) bowlers leaked too many runs. In return, Tim David, Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran and Dewald Brevis all made good contributions for MINY, but in the end they lost by 22 runs.
Major League just started in USA and this is the second match of the league. San Francisco Unicorns batsmen struggled and were 4 down in 7 overs until Corney and Shadab stepped in. There is 129 runs partnership between Shadab and Corney and that's were matche slipped away from MI New York.
